Rockaway Beach house description
Our Rockaway Beach house vacation rental has a partial ocean view and is just a few steps across the street to the sand! Relax in our vacation home that has been owned by our family for over 40 years. The ranch style house has had the bath recently updated and we've installed new windows and mini-blinds. The house is comfortable and well maintained. We have a big living room with 2 new couches and a large-screen TV which has DISH satellite reception. The eating area is in the living room. The house will comfortably hold 6 people. We have 2 bedrooms: each with a queen bed and a twin. We also have 2 twin roll-away beds in storage closets in the living room. The kitchen is equipped with everything except a dishwasher---sorry! The house also has a laundry room with washer & dryer. The deck wraps around the front of the house, side and half the back. There is a Weber kettle BBQ. Restrictions are no smoking, no pets. Rockaway is a quick drive from Portland and a quiet town with ice cream & candy shops, restaurants, antique shops and an acrcade.

What a great time. It was just like walking into your own casual and comfortable beach retreat. If we needed something, it was there. I LOVED IT. Thanks for everything. I will be back.

Lovely Beach Home
Lovely Beach Home
We were lucky enough to stay 2 nights in this comfortable home! It was myself, my husband, my 12 year old son, my 18 year old daughter and her 19 year old fiance. We had plenty of room and space for everyone. The kitchen and laundry area were very nice. You could hear the ocean from the porch and see it between the other houses when not too dark or too foggy. The owner is exceptionally nice and worked with us on our plans and was nothing but friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend this home to anyone! You are within driving distance to many attractions and other towns as well. We look forward to working with Teresa again next year when we travel to the beautiful coast again! Thank you Teresa!!

We stayed at the beach house for only 2 nights and wished we could've stayed longer! The house is just steps from the beach. The neighborhood was quiet and it was almost like we had the whole town to ourselves! Plenty of room for people to sleep, tons of comfy blankets and quilts that my girls loved to cuddle up in at night after a long day of playing at the beach. The kitchen has all the amenities you could possibly need. You can rent movies at the local market. The photos accurately reflect the home. It was very clean and just what we were looking for. Teresa was great to work with. I would suggest picking up your groceries prior to arriving since the market is quite overpriced. We ate at the Lakeside Hideaway, which has $1 tacos Tuesday nights (YUM!). We also went to Kelly's Marina which is North of Rockaway and purchased amazing crab. You'll want to show up before 5pm if you want to catch it yourself! Our girls had a great time watching them catch, cook, and clean the crab.

The house was great. The pictures don't do it justice for it's location and perfect beach-house feel. I hope we can go back again because all we did was play games, cook, eat and take short dives in the ocean. There was plenty of cooking equipment, sleeping arrangements were easy for 6 and we had amazing weather for late Nov. The owners made the arrangements very easy and we had no problems communicating with them.

We had a great time at Rockaway Beach!
We had a great time at Rockaway Beach!
We had a great time at Rockaway Beach! It was rainy and cloudy when we arrived but not to worry.... the wood burning fire place was by far at the center of our vacation--nothing like a pine fire crackling to cozy up a coastal night. Upon waking the following morning, I was surprised to find the weather in the 80s, with clear blue skies! (I actually got a sun burn). The house had a partial ocean view from both bedrooms, the living room, and the front porch. The roar of the ocean can be heard at all times. Overall, the trip was great. I would advise a visit to the Tillamook Air Museum just 20 min away. Its something to see. Also, the Pirate's Cove restaurant--on the way to Tillamook south on 101--had very good food and service. The owner of the home was very good at communicating quickly and easily. From payment, to getting the keys, the whole trip was a breeze working with the rental owners. And finally, the price was incredibly affordable! (always a plus). If you would like to skip the commercialism, franchisees and trendiness of other beach towns, Rockaway has plenty to do while still maintaining a "getaway" feel. I highly recommend the experience to anyone looking for a fire on a stormy coastal evening, or a sun tan on a beautiful beach.

Beehler Family Stay
Beehler Family Stay
Our family has been going to Rockaway Beach for more than 20 years and for many of those years we stayed in the same house owned by a friend's family. When the house we'd stayed in for many years was sold, we searched Rockaway to find another inexpensive but nice house to stay in. We were so happy to find a great place just two blocks from the old place. The house is cozy. Not fancy, by any means, but that fits our family perfectly. The house is very well kept and has everything we need (pots, pans, TV, nice bathroom, good beds, etc.) that we need for a great vacation. It's a short walk across the street to the access point to our favorite section of the beach and a nice stroll to downtown. Just a very comfortable house that feels like a home. We've enjoyed the two times we've stayed there and will definitely come back.

Thank you for a wonderful stay! We were very pleasantly surprised to see the location of this house, just across the little street to the beach! The house is lovingly vintage (even down to the carpet and collection of vintage sheets!) yet with up-to-date appliances and very clean. It was perfect for our family of 5. The layout is great for families and the beds were VERY comfortable! We loved the wood fireplace and the big windows. The house was very well stocked. The beach itself was beautiful! Not crowded at all... just a few families here and there besides us. One of the most beautiful spots on the Oregon coast that we've seen! Plus you can't beat Cape Meares State Park and Tillamook Cheese Factory all close by. We will definitely be visiting again! (And just as a side note... the two paths for beach access that we took involved stepping down big flat rocks to get to the beach. It wasn't a problem with our kids, we just took it slow, but thought it would be useful to note for the elderly or someone with walking difficulties.)

Quite, Comfortable, Relaxing
Quite, Comfortable, Relaxing
This was our 2nd visit here and it we chose the location because it is just across the street from the ocean, and is tucked in-between Tillamook and Seaside, so we could easily visit both towns. This home is quiet, comfortable and relaxing, and the price is right - just what we were looking for! The owners are easy to work with, the home is clean and well stocked. Did I mention that the price is right?! I can't wait for our next trip!

We had a very relaxing stay just a few steps to the beach on a quiet street. The sound of the waves lulled us to sleep. A very comfortable home that is well maintained. Within walking distance of down town. A perfect place to get away for families, girl getaways.

What a beautiful place to stay! Close to the beach and restaurants - we could walk everywhere. The house was spacious with a living room, kitchen, bathroom and two bedrooms. The kitchen was perfect for preparing our own meals when we wanted to. The beds were super comfortable and quiet. We were able to take naps while others were up watching t.v. We will definitely stay here again. Thanks for an awesome weekend!
