  What really made our stay special was the incredible thoughtfulness of the owners to be sure we had everything we needed to make our Duck visit a real vacation.

  This is a good house just north of Duck....location is perfect, close enough to town to run in but far enough to avoid the traffic. The house has a beautiful view of both the sound and the ocean from the rooftop deck, and fabulous views of the sunset. It does sit on a hill so you have to walk down (and thus up) to get to the beach - we brought a wagon which made it much easier to haul stuff and our 3 year old. The house has a few quirks: the handles on the screen doors don't work from the inside (seem to be rusted), the master shower is very small and has pretty weak water pressure, the grill is small and on its last leg, and they are in need of at least one sharp knife! But overall a great value for the area, we would stay again.

  This is a charming beach house in a great location. We explored for miles around and found nowhere so lovely as Duck. It is a lovely small town with a stunning beach and a vibrant boardwalk. It has very easy access to Kitty Hawk, the nearby lighthouses, Jockey's Ridge. The house itself is perfectly suitable for a small family, especially with the rooftop deck to relax on and watch the sunset once the kids are in bed! All in all, highly recommended.

  My eleven year old and I had a marvelous week at this house. The location was ideal, with just a short walk down to the beach, and the bikepath nearby, and we loved seeing the sunsets from the porch, and could see the ocean from up on top. The house was comfortable, clean, cheerful and very charming, and the owners were very helpful and prompt in answering any questions. We will definitely stay again!

  We loved the house! It was clean when we arrived. There was plenty of space for our family of four. Short walk with young kids to an awesome beach. Spectacular sunsets every night from the deck on the roof. AC worked great during the heatwave we were in. Close to downtown Duck. Lots of activities close by. Great neighborhood with friendly families. We will be back again.

  What a great place to vacation! Right from the beginning the vacation home was welcoming, well kept, and offered front row seats to many fireworks over the 4th of July. There was a nice sand play area for kids, short walking distance to the beach and bay, and nice side porch to watch summer sunsets. You could walk, bike, and run right out your front door to see many nearby attractions. The owners were great and very accommodating, nothing was over looked. I would go back to this spot in a heart beat and would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a nice relaxing week at the beach. The pictures show exactly what the inside looks like and everything was well kept.

  The renter was nice, however, the home I'd to say was quite filthy. Supposedly the cleaners has gone bf our arrival on 25 May 11-not! The place was embarrassingly and quite disgustingly filthy, cobwebs everywhere. I was so humiliated, to pay the price for this place. It was worth approx 50 bucks a night. It was near the ocean/bay. This place tiny dirty place is for someone who cares less where they stay and is not embarrassed or disgusted to filthy places. I will not go back there ever. And thank God I didn't bring my friends, that would have been worse. I am seeking another location to spend vaca with my family. I work hard and earn my keep, I am so disappointed to have rented this home. Do not rent this place unless u are subjected to a dirty home and cobwebs and are okay with it. It need a good cleaning..........what a waste of time and money!
