  This property is amazing and can’t be beat. I’ve stayed here with a group of friends on three separate occasions and we all loved it here. The location is amazing (right on the beach) with great surf spots just in front of the condo. The condo is spacious and clean with amazing views and a spectacular rooftop. You are steps away from the best beach bars and a short walk away from great restaurants and yoga. The owners and property management personnel are beyond friendly, easy to work with and accommodating. I can’t say enough good things about this property and can’t wait to book my next trip back to paradise!

  We had such a great trip to Rincon. Staying at the condo on Sandy Beach was a treat. We woke to the awesome sound of the ocean. Surfers were out early, and fun to watch. A guy renting beach chairs and teaching surfing was right next door. There was a nice bar two doors down, and the best gift shops we found in Rincon were within walking distance from the condo. Location was incredible. If this weren't enough, the condo itself was beautiful, and had everything we needed! We were able to cook some of our own meals, and settle down with some tv when we wanted. The condo was spacious, and clean, and nicely appointed. The view from the veranda could not be beat. This place had me dreaming of all the different groups of people I would want to be there with (girls trip, come with another family and the kids). The condo was everything it was advertised to be. I would definitely recommend it!

  We had such a great trip to Rincon. Staying at the condo on Sandy Beach was a treat. We woke to the awesome sound of the ocean. Surfers were out early, and fun to watch.   This was the absolutely perfect location and getaway with friends. Right on the ocean with the most breathtaking views off the balcony, the condo was beautifully decorated, had all amenities needed. It is located right where the action is, in a very central location for walking to great restaurants, live music and dancing and right next door to surfing and kite surfing classes. I recommend having a car, but you could definitely have fun without, if you don't need a lot of variety and are there for the beach. Waves were to die for if you are a surfer. Many great spots to watch sunsets, enjoy drinks or dinner and take in the happy energetic lifestyle that exists in Rincon. It reminded me of a great beach town in California but with the Latin culture which makes it feel like you are really away from it all. Loved Tamboo for the music and dancing. English Rose mountain top breakfast, Calypso for sunsets and surfers. The Pool Bar, oh, many great destinations with character. The terrain is exciting with windy roads up and down mountains and the amazing beach right alongside. Right across the street from the condo is probably the best shop in town for souvenirs, beach wear, local art, jewelry. Many wonderful day trips to choose from. Best vacation ever. Just do it. You'll never regret it.

  We just returned from an amazing vacation in Puerto Rico. We stayed at Paradise at Sandy Beach for 5 nights and loved the location. If you are looking to surf, this is the place for you. There is a surf spot right in front of the property and thanks to Hurricane Sandy, the surf was epic. There is a parking lot on one side of the property with a place to rent surf boards, SUPs, beach chairs, and umbrellas. The villa is fully stocked with everything you could need. They even set up a crib and booster seat for our 16 month old. Now for the negative: this property does not have a back-up generator. This was the ONLY negative we could find and the only reason we did not rate this property 5 stars. This would not have been a problem had the power not gone out so much and for so long. I assume this was due to the Hurricane out in the Carribbean. It did not hit us though. During our 5 night, 6 day stay at Paradise, the power went out 4 times. The first time it was out nearly 24 hours. The second time it went out for over 12 hours. The third time was only for about 5 hours. The last time it went i don't know for how long, but it was over 12 hours because by the time we checked out, it still was not back on. Also, it is important to note that the water works via an electric pump and after having no power for a substantial amount of time, we ran out of running water. On a HUGE positive note, the property management company for this villa is AMAZING! Kare Management is 5 STARS in my opinion. They went above and beyond to ensure our stay was a success. Anna and Gladys were a pleasure to work with. Gladys was always available to help us when we called her and when our power went out and we ran out of water, Anna offered up one of her properties for us to stay at that was only 2 doors down from ours. Her property (which I think belongs to her personally) has a back-up generator. And since we were unable to cook dinner a few nights due to no power, she monetarily compensated us for a few dinners out. I would recommend renting any property they manage. Thanks to Kare Management, our vacation was not ruined by the frequent power outages. Thanks Anna and Gladys!

  Owner response: Glad you had a great vacation in spite of the outages Hurricane Sandy caused. It was a big storm. We felt it's winds all the way to Wisconsin when it hit the east coast. One correction, the water happened to go out the same time as the electricity and that is why the water didn't work. If the municipal water is flowing there is no need for electricity to get water. However, if the water goes out, there is a water tank and electric pump to pump the water as a back up. It just so happened that they were both out at the same time, I presume because of the hurricane. I have spent about 37 weeks at the property over 10 years and have only experienced a few brief outages. There was some service issues the summer of 2011 when the power company was rebuilding lines and they would shut the power off to work on the system. At that time we considered getting a generator, however, we thought the costs and maintenance would raise our rates too much so we decided against it. We will keep monitoring the situation and install one, if need be. We are in the tropics so we don't expect perfection. My sister-in-law is in New Jersey and they got hit by the hurricane and power is expected to be out for 10 days or more. Those are acts of nature and cannot be controlled. Glad Kare Management was responsive to our guest's needs and did what they could.

  After a looong flight from Los Angeles and a weekend wedding in San Juan, my girlfriend and I were looking forward to escaping to the other side of the island for a vacation on top of our vacation. "Paradise at Sandy Beach" provided the absolute PERFECT backdrop for this! We were originally met by Gladys who kindly toured us around the unit and shared with us all that needed to be learned: TV, AC (in all bedrooms), appliance use, bedding and towel storage, etc. Immediately, we were taken back by the cleanliness of this home! The owners have spared no expense in all rooms and have made it a point to make sure all needs one can think of are met ahead of time. You truly know and can tell they LOVE their home and furthermore, LOVE to share their home with others, only presenting it in it's best light. We appreciated that so much! The kitchen cupboards are stocked with full sets of beautiful dishes, the finest cookware is offered and more cooking utensils you'll ever need. Laundry detergent sits in the laundry area, sunscreens, beach chairs, floating tubes and floating noodles for the ocean...heck, even koozies to keep your Puerto Rican beer icy cold! The beds were amazingly clean and comfortable and provided some of the most restful nights sleep we had ever had (perhaps the sound of the crashing waves from 50 feet away helped!). Equally as nice was the location of this home as we were 50 feet from the water and a 2 minute walk to Tamboo, the most popular watering hole in all of Rincon. For all you surfers out there, there's a right reef break straight out front that gave us consistent waist to chest-high waves all morning. If you didn't bring your board, no worries as there's a board and watercraft rental shop literally next door to the unit stocked with the finest and latest rides (ask for Blake). I had my fun on a 9'6 McTavish longboard. I also recommend a great cup of morning coffee at Banana Dang and a surprisingly lovely late night bite at Calypso Bar. Without hesitation, we will be back to Rincon and we can only hope this unit is available during our next visit back as it made all the difference in our vacation atop our vacation!   This was our first family vacation in ten years and we thank our Paradise at Sandy Beach owners and Ryan and Gladys at VRBO for helping make this a fabulous trip! We arrived later than expected and Gladys cheerfully accomodated us. The condo is an oasis where we felt safe and relaxed in our community with only two other condos. The condo is stocked with kitchen gear, laundry beach chairs and all the the necessities for a hassle-free week. Restaurants and bars are close enough that if you didn't want to rent a car or cook, you could probably get by if you don't mind walking a distance to breakfast. However we would recommend having a car if you want to buy groceries or explore beyond Rincon. The location and condo offered something for everyone in our group which ranged from young adult to middle aged-we could have our individual space or family time as the mood struck; we could choose to hang out together or everyone walk to a different place for lunch or dinner. Tamboo is a must for ease and beach bar atmosphere-food not that great. Pools is a must with fresh organic delicious food at lunch and great vibe. Casa Islena and Lazy Parrot were outstanding dinner choices. We took a sunset cruise with Katarina Sails and it was amazing. Sandy Beach is gorgeous and watcing the surfers is entertaining. If you don't want to hang at the beach all day, there are plenty of places to curl up with a book or computer, hike or enjoy the local sights. Because it is a surf beach, you wouldn't want small children to roam without supervision. If you want calmer water for a swim beach there are several close by so don't rule Rincon out. Other reviewers commented on the noise from Tamboo and the parking lot and we would agree, but would not miss Paradise at Sandy Beach because of that. Other guests comment that the pictures don't do the views justice and we agree. We would rate this among the highest of other sites we've experienced in the Caribbean and hope to come back.

  We really enjoyed staying here. The beach is awesome and with hardly anyone on it. You can take long walks and we got addicted to picking up sea glass which we made into cup coasters when we got home. The waves were very fun. We never did turn on the TV, spent the evenings with a good book on the roof top and enjoying the sounds of the surf. The third story view was the best, it was high enough to see over the palm trees. We looked for the whales but I guess they were not there yet. We did snorkel at Steps Beach. Great reef right at the shore, we even saw some cuttlefish, hawknose turltes, puffer fish, flounder fish and alot of other fish. The condo had all things you will need for cooking and laundry and beach toys can be rented across the road. The showers were interesting, the water temperature fluctuated alot but it did the job. We also experienced the loud music in the parking lot next door on the weekend, very quiet on the other nights. Friday and Saturday nights are party nights and it seems that a very loud car stereo is a necessity. It stopped around 3:30am. Oh well. We did like that we had fenced in parking on the property. I think that this area was the nicest place to stay in the Rincon area. Definitely the best beach and very relaxing. The main town is about a ten minute drive away on hilly narrow roads. Decent priced groceries could be bought there. There are restaurants scattered all around the area, most will need a car to get to. Withing walking distance from the condo were about four restaurants which were good. Definitely go to Casa Islena's which has a great night atmosphere. The condo owner/rental management was very easy to deal with. I would stay here again.

  i came down here with a bunch of ladies and we had a blast....the condo is located on a beautiful stretch of beach and has the most incredible views.....i have never been to rincon before and i loved the laid back nature of the city..... i would describe rincon as "funky" and off the beaten path.....there are lots of nice restaurants and i enjoyed discovering all of the different beaches....some of the best snorkeling i have ever done too.......the condo itself is immaculate and you can't get any closer to the ocean than this.......there were 7 of us in all, ranging in ages from early 20s to 60 years old....we all loved this place.
