Lost Antler Cabin

A place to take a deep breath and rejuvenate the senses. A space that allows your mind to drink up the deep history of the surrounding area, from wild gold mining towns to when the buffalo roamed free on the land the cabin now sits.
As the cabin was being built it was taken into consideration of people who would appreciate the vast landscape from Mill Creek Flats, to the who do's of Chimney Rock either way your minds eye will take back with it a reality that only a few are blessed to live.

It has now been a few weeks since our stay, but daily we wish we could go back to Lost Antler Cabin. The cabin was exactly what we expected from the photos and description. Super clean and charming. I would recommend it to family and friends as long as they did not want to go on the dates that we would like to use for a return trip! Chico Hot Springs is one of our favorite spots and only a few minutes away. Riding, flyfishing and soaking...what could be better? The delightful surprise was the connection with our hosts! Great tips on where to ride, a terrific hike and stories of the area. By the time we left, we felt like a local. We hope to return to Lost Antler for and extended stay next fall...One week was not nearly enough time.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, pet owners, adventure seekers, age 55+, sightseeing.
Owner response: What a blessing it was for Bill and I to have Tim and Cara choose our cabin for the 8 short days, but in the same breathe a friendship that will continue for many years I am sure. They are game for any thing we suggested, and great sports about the incident base not to far from our house with the wild fires going on just miles from our home. Thank you for sharing our bit of Paradise. Lorna and Bill.

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this cozy little cabin. The view from the bedroom windows morning and night were beautiful. The drive each day was about thirty minutes to the north entrance of the park but the view along the drive was very pleasant both morning and evening. A nice drive along the Yellowstone River allowed us to see wildlife and a something we didn't catch the day before. We fixed our breakfast at the cabin a couple of mornings and also fixed our dinner a couple of nights. The owners were great people to deal with, I would recommend this property to friends and family and if in this area again, yes we would stay there.Recommended for: Age 55+, sightseeing.

Perfect Place for your visit to Paradise Valley! The photos, description and cleanliness were spot on for the property. The owner couldn't have been more friendly, having fresh eggs available and showing us the sheep that had given birth to their little ones. They were soo cute! The views through the big windows were just amazing! Couldn't stop starring out at the mountains, even though we live in Montana. So close to Chico Hot Springs, which came in handy to grab a meal and a soak but not have to put up with the spring break crowds. So nice to have a VRBO property that is not so big and very affordable. Highly recommend this property if you are visiting Paradise Valley to fish The Yellowstone River, Chico Hot Springs,Yellowstone National Park, Wildlife Viewing or Photographers, Hiking, visiting family in the area, or just wanting to get away from it all!!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, girls getaway, pet owners, adventure seekers, sightseeing, families with young children.

Paradise Valley for sure! This was the most awesome little cabin we have ever rented. We are only sorry that our short stay was made even shorter by Hurrican Irene! We stayed here for one night :( when in Montana attending our son's wedding. For the short amount of time we spent in Lost Antler we so enjoyed the back drop of the mountains, the open country, quietness, and coziness of the cabin. We drank our morning coffee on the back porch while we watched the sun crest over the top of the beautiful mountains! And it was so close that we enjoyed a quick trip to Yellowstone National Park for some wonderful sightseeing! It was breathtaking!! Owners are the most friendly, cooperative and helpful! We will definately stay in Lost Antler Cabin again while visiting Montana...thanks, Lorna!!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, girls getaway, adventure seekers, age 55+, sightseeing.

Nearly a day has passed since my stay at the Lost Antler last summer that I haven't reflected on that time with great fondness. Having been my first trip to Montana, I wasn't quite sure what to expect; however, I was soon welcomed with open arms and generous hospitality, not only from the owners of the cabin, but from the community at large. The breathtaking panoramic views, pristine mountain air, rich foliage, and plentiful hiking trails are all surely spectacular, but it's the warmth and congeniality of the people that will beg you to stay. My time there was without a doubt a memorable one, and those memories will forever be cherished, as will the friendships that were made along the way.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, adventure seekers, sightseeing.

Great place in the middle of Paradice Valley. Quaint place with great views. Have to make sure to meet Moby Duck. The stairs up to the loft are not for faint of heart. Very steep! The sleeping loft had a great view both ways out the windows. And a bath upstairs. Would stay there again!!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, adventure seekers, sightseeing.

About the owner: Growing up in the Paradise Valley with the wild stories, and the Native history, gave me an appreciation of people who came and went in this valley. Not only do I study the history of the west but I teach Native American style beadwork, and Pottery, I am working towards making this property a place to remember, weather you take the memory back with you from the Park or one of the stories you hear at the local watering hole.
Why the Owner Chose Emigrant:
Being a traveler myself, wanting to take in much of the culture, I figured there were other travelers out there that would love to stay in a cabin that was built by hand, and has a rich family history.
The Unique Benefits at this Cabin:
You can eat the free range chicken eggs that come straight from our own Cackle Berry Coop.
