Our cottage has been renovated in true 'country cottage' style and we believe you will thoroughly enjoy your accommodations. All the beds are recently new and are very comfortable.
Wolf Lake is a clean, spring fed lake with a sandy bottom. The cottage is located in a desirable area of the lake with a shallow, gradually deepening bottom - great for small children. The lake is easily accessible from the cottage with a dock and beach for sunbathing, swimming and fishing.
The deck and beach views are relaxing. It's not unusual to sight swans or herons on the lake.
Lake Michigan's beautiful beaches and Michigan Adventure Amusement Park are within a 25 minute drive. The Lakes Mall, various restaurants, movie theaters, museums and historical sites are available nearby in Muskegon.
Take a look at the photos and you'll wish you were there now!

My family and I had a wonderful time at this Wolf Lake cottage. It was decorated so adorably, done in blues and yellows. We had family members coming and going through the week due to work schedules, but it was fine! We all hated to leave at the end of the week. We had the added joy of a visiting bald eagle, a family of ducks and a neighborhood cat who would come visit when we were outside! The boat was a blast for us all, but especially the kids, not to mention the kayaks and paddle boat. The beach couldn't be more perfect with the shallow water for our grandson. We highly recommend this cottage!Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, age 55+, families with teenagers.

Dear Ron & Ruth, We really did love your cottage - the decorations are wonderful - everything we needed was here. We can't wait to check the calendar for summer. My grandbabies played every game - watched the ducks and swans - and really enjoyed the lower level. They didn't want to leave... and neither did I. Thank you so much - a memorable Thanksgiving weekend for all of us. Blessings, Diane & familyDid you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

Your hospitality was showered upon us all as we walked from room to room admiring the many sprinklings of love you have perfectly placed. There was not one thing we wanted for... well... except for more time here. The evenings and mornings were most enjoyable (for me)... and the kids enjoyed the many hours of fishing... (or as I like to call it... "feeding the fish"). Watching the kids enjoy the lake life was very special. There is something magical to observe moments through the eyes of a child. Thanks alone does not encompass the gratefulness I have for you both opening up your beautiful home for us to enjoy. But... Thank you. Ephesians 2:10 - "For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them". With much love and a grateful heart. Thanks Ron & Ruth - you guys thought of everything! Your home is cosy and comfortabler - we really had a great week. Our boys (10 & 12) really enjoyed the lake - the kayaks - we enjoyed the peace & quiet. The cottage is a credit to you both and the garden looks wonderful! Thank you for sharing it with us. About the owner: Ruth & I have great family memories from time spent at her parent's cottage, so we decided to purchase our own cottage to continue the experience for our family. We enjoy sharing our cozy, comfortable place with others and hope you will create your own fond memories.
Why the Owner Chose Muskegon:
Large lakes can have a lot of traffic and the water can be cold and rough. River-fed lakes tend to be 'dirty' from farm field run-off, and some small lakes don't allow motors on boats. Wolf Lake is an all-sports lake that is never overly busy. The lake is spring fed and all the homes and cottages are connected to municipal sewer which ensures the cleanliness of the lake.
We live in Holland and Wolf Lake is within an hour of where our home is located. Muskegon River is nearby - perfect for our kayaking adventures! Muskegon has numerous beaches that access Lake Michigan and are only a short drive away. We enjoy the great weather and events that summer in Michigan provides.
The Unique Benefits at this Cottage:
Our cottage is located on a cul-de-sac so road traffic is minimal, providing a quiet setting.
The breezes from the lake are consistent and keep the cottage comfortable most of the time. Window air conditioners in the upper level bedrooms cool the hotter days and nights. The lower level is comfortably cool even on warm days.
Beautiful flowers and rock gardens surrounding the cottage add a whimsical touch.
While at the cottage, we can choose to kayak, swim, ski, or fish on the lake. Available are two kayaks, a pontoon-style paddle boat, fishing gear, and numerous beach toys.
At the end of active summer days, the sunsets, viewed from the deck or the dock, bring a quiet calm.
