Villa Seacrest is situated on a 20-acre Caribbean-side beachfront estate. This lovely house features two bedrooms, each with an en-suite bath. Each bedroom has a beautiful ocean view through large windows.
The open-plan living room and kitchen also have ocean views through a wall of glass opening onto a lovely and spacious screened veranda, which serves as the dining room. A one minute walk takes you to a secluded cove with 1000’ of private beachfront. This bay, called Tranquility Bay, offers excellent snorkeling, fishing and shelling.
Amenities include air-conditioned bedrooms, flat screen satellite TV, DVD, and Internet.with WIFI. Outdoor amenities include a two-person kayak, boogie boards, snorkeling gear, and hammocks on the beach. Just bring your tooth brush! All guests are met by our caretaker upon arrival.
Villa Seacrest shares this 20-acre estate with one other house 100 yards away. The houses are separated by trees and distance, providing each with plenty of privacy. However, they are near enough to be rented together by larger groups of up to 10 guests.
The town of Governors Harbour, less than a ten-minute drive, has a charming collection of 19th century homes and churches overlooking its historic harbor. Buy fresh fish and lobster every afternoon from fisherman at the town dock, or visit the recently restored Haynes Library, which dates from 1897, for the weekly coffee hour for foreign residents and tourists. . Governors Harbour has grocery stores, restaurants, liquor stores, two banks with ATMs, a bakery, gift shops, and a medical clinic. Friday Night Fish Fry in Governors Harbour, a street/beach party that brings together all the tourists and locals with food, drink, and dancing in the street, is not to be missed.
Eleuthera is famous for its 100 miles of spectacular, deserted beaches. The island, home to just 8000 residents, is completely safe any time of the day or night. Enjoy the rare experience of picking up hitch-hikers and leaving your keys in the car wherever you go. The snorkeling, diving, and fishing on the island are world class. Boating, surfing, and other water sports are also popular. You can rent power boats, sailboats, sea kayaks, jet skis, scooters, and bikes. You can have a charter captain take you out for excursions of various types. You ride horses on the beach or on trails. There is excellent sightseeing as well. Eleuthera has vast caves, cliffs, a bottomless ocean hole, many unique beaches, historic churches and 19th century homes, and small villages to explore. The name is perfect. This has to be one of the most tranquil spots on earth. Perfect to reflect and unwind while leaving all the cares of the world behind. As I walked the beach each morning the only set of footprints were mine from the previous day! It was glorious! Don't miss a day trip to Harbor Island and a walk-about in historic Governors Harbor and you must dine at Tippie's at least once during your stay! Read the guest reflections on your first day and check out all the options. Steve and Cindy are the perfect host if you are lucky enough to be there during their stays. Their love and care for the beautifully maintained property is obvious.Recommended for: Families with young children, romantic getaway, age 55+.

we spend 8 nights in Tranquillity Bay including Christmas. The Villa is very nice, located perfectly in the middle of Eleuthera Island (good chance of excursion all around driving no more than 75 minutes), with a private beach full of amazing shells. Sunsets are unforgettable! But the real strengh of our vacation were our hosts, Cindy and Steve, who made us feel home. Their kindness and ospitality were something we never experienced in about 10 years travelling by villas rental! Words can not describe our stay at Tranquility Bay. My wife and I, along with our two daughters (ages 10, and 17) spent a week in paradise in April 2011. This was our third trip to the island, and was by far the most memorable! We are so greatful that we had the oportunity to share Steve and Cindy's home for the week! Their kindness touched us the moment we walked through the door to Villa Seacrest. They left us lobster, wine, and some food from when they departed a few days earlier, but it was the giving from the heart with the personal gifts they left for the girls that was the most touching and appreciated. The house was beautifully decorated, wonderfully appointed, and the views of the bay from the front patio will forever be etched in our minds. The property is COMPLETELY private, and we had the bay all to ourselves the entire week!! The beach was spectacular, and was perfect for strolling, sunning, and swimming. Sand Pipper II, the tiki hut on the beach, was awesome. We spent alot of time there lounging in the hammoks, cooking out on the beach, and having campfires at night. The snorkeling was good, and we were able to spearfish right off the beach. We showed our girls around the island a bit, but always found ourselves rushing to get back to Tranquility Bay! It was with heavy hearts that we packed our bags, desperately trying to figure out a way to rearrange our travel arrangements to give us just a few more precious days at Tranquility Bay! The only downside is that we were only there for a week. We will be back, but it will NEVER be for less than two weeks!! Thank you Steve and Cindy! I hope you truly understand what you have done for us by sharing your home with us, and what a blessing it has been! You have become our friends, and we will meet one day! We were fortunate enough to stay for 2 weeks and everything was wonderful! Steve and Cindy were the perfect hosts - leaving us with wine and lobster tails (from the bay outfront!). We loved the screened in porch and spent every moment we were home on the porch. Privacy galore - no one around even on the beach. Shelled each morning and brought home a great selection of seashells as well as urchin shells. Hilton Johnson, the caretaker and car rental person, was so helpful and accommadating. We highly recommend him for car rentals and his knowledge of the area. We went deep sea fishing with the great Paul Petty and had fresh Mahi Mahi for a few nights. Fish Fry on Friday's, Billy & Brenda's BBQ on Friday and Saturday (James Cistern). Lighthouse Beach, Preachers Cave, the list goes on and on and on.... So much to do and see... We highly recommend Tranquility Bay for a couple, two couples or for a small family.Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, adventure seekers, romantic getaway.
