I recently stayed in this unit for a Girls Getaway with 4 friends. The unit was immaculate and had everything we needed. We were extremely comfortable and felt like we were at home. We took advantage of the unit's well stocked kitchen to prepare a few meals while we were there. We really enjoyed being on the bayside of the resort, especially the pool area. Not to worry though the beautiful sandy beach is just a short walk. And you don't need to worry about bringing beach chairs, there are plenty compliments of the resort. This was our first time visiting Siesta Key and we all loved and plan a return visit with our families. There are plenty of places to shop and restaurants to dine at. If you enjoy a nice walk, Siesta Village is just a few miles up the beach. The staff at Palm Bay Club were extremely accommodating from our late arrival to having packages delivered. This truly was one of my most memorable vacations, thanks in part to the wonderful accommodations in this unit. we can't wait to go back!

Owner response: Thank you so much for the kind words about our condo and we are delighted that you found it so pleasing - that is certainly our goal! We hope you can contact us again for your future vacations at Siesta Key. We look forward to taking care of you again. Best wishes and thanks again.

Had a wonderful week at the condo. Loved the new look with the kitchen. Made it seem much more open and spacious. The unit was very clean and had everything we needed for the week. Siesta Key is a beautful area and the beach is amazing. I like that there are always plenty of chairs for lounging at the beach provided by the condo. We were even able to see a sea turtle on the beach at night. Awesome experience. I definitely recommend staying at this unit, be it for a romantic getaway, a girl's trip, or a family vacation. There are plenty of things to do around the area, and you can even get around the island using one of the "free beach rides" services! The condo is the perfect place to enjoy a quiet and relaxing week. Can't wait to go back!

We were hesitant to stay at this location after reading some of the recent reviews on tripadvisor.com, but figured most of the negative ones were from guests visiting during spring break. As native Floridians, we know that you cannot visit any beach on Florida's coast and enjoy yourself with spring breakers. With that said, we vacationed for four nights in Unit #334 and could not have been more pleased. The unit was recently remodeled and in near perfect condition-plenty of beds for our family of five, very clean and spacious. We enjoyed both the smaller pool on the bay and the larger pool across the street. Beach access was perfect-plenty of lounge chairs, gorgeous sand, and lots of space to spread out. There were tons of fun things to do around Siesta Key/Sarasota/Tampa/Venice Beach. We wish we had booked for longer. We had a wonderful vacation with our three children-ages 6, 3, and 6 months and look forward to staying in this unit again in the near future.

Owner response: Boy, with all of the fun you had, I wish I was there too! It is so terrific that you got so much out of it and that you found everything to your liking. We do try hard to keep the condo in top shape and we too know what we like in a vacation and do our best to provide it. Thank you so much for choosing our condo and please consider us again. Our very best wishes. #334 Palm Bay Club

We just came back from staying in our own condo. The recent updates - new kitchen, light fixtures and ceiling fan - all look great and give the unit even more of an open updated look. The condo has a very clean and easy living appearance and the association does a great job keeping it that way. The weather couldn't have been better - sunny and low 80's every day! We found another great restaurant called The Cottage in the village that was fantastic! Hope you can enjoy it too!

Just got back from Siesta Key and I can't wait to go back! The Palm Bay is one of the most relaxing places I have ever been! We loved the condo, the pool and the beach. We enjoyed sitting on the spacious balcony taking in the view of the bay and the courtyard. The landscaping is beautiful and the grounds are very well kept. We took nightly walks on the beach and loved seeing the grounds lit up. Having a pool, a hot tub, and a dock to sit on to overlook the bay and relax so close to our room was very convenient. You can even fish off the dock. The unit is in a great location. It was no trouble to go back to the room for whatever you may need. We enjoyed staying on the bay side as opposed to the gulf. The walk to the beach is not bad.We walked there every day-it only took a few minutes and it was nice to take in the scenery. We had no trouble crossing the street as motorist always stopped to let us cross. The street wasn't nearly as busy at night and crossing wasn't a problem at all. My parents were with us and my father has a bad hip so instead of walking every day, they drove across the street and were able to find a parking place right by the beach every day with no problem. They did walk to the beach a few times, but preferred to drive. There is also a bathroom inside the Tower (which is right by the beach) should the need arise. The staff at the Palm Bay is very friendly and the security guards are always seen and doing their jobs. We loved this unit, it was perfect for us. The beds were very comfortable and there was plenty of room. Loved the large closets! The furniture is very nice and the condo is well decorated. While above it states the unit will sleep 6, you could definitely sleep 9 (if a few were willing to share a full/queen bed). The unit was very clean and we had no problems during our week stay. We made dinner several nights and found the condo had everything we needed to do so. We grilled out by the pool on the grills provided by the Palm Bay Club. There is plenty to do in the area and close by.We rented scooters one day and drove all around the island, into Sarasota, etc.(got a great rate); we also were able to parasail at a very reasonable price. We enjoyed dinner in the village as well as a night out at one of the local bars for ladies night. We found the prices to be very reasonable and the atomosphere very fun! There is plenty to do here and I would recommend Siesta and this unit to anyone, any age, family vacation or friends/girls getaway!

We really enjoyed our week stay in this condo, and we are picky! It was clean, nicely furnished and exactly as described. Balcony was perfect for morning coffee. The beds were very comfortable and the 2nd BR was perfect for the 3 grandchildren. Great location and very close to the pool and spa with just a short walk to beach. Perfect for spring break. Will definately use again.

Owner response: Thank you so much for this review and for giving us the opportunity to provide our condo for your enjoyment! Best wishes and many happy returns.

We just returned from spending the month of January at this unit at the Palm Bay Club. We have mixed emotions. The unit is very clean and can accommodate 4 adults comfortably. The bathrooms and kitchen are small. If you plan an extended stay and want to eat in, you will need a good frying pan, a good chopping knife, a good spatula, several pot holders, and a couple of serving bowls. The unit is on the second level so the ground level traffic and noise is reduced, but we did hear the people in the unit above us. The view of the bay from the balcony is negligible. However, the walk to the bay side pool is short and sitting there is pleasant. Also, the bay side balconies overlook a beautiful courtyard. There is no view of the gulf, but there are no gulf views on the gulf side, either, unless you stay in the tower. The beach is four-tenths of a mile from the unit, and one must cross a very busy Midnight Pass Road. This is difficult for seniors or adults with children in tow. Motorists are not inclined to stop. There are no washroom facilities on the beach, so, if nature calls, you must walk a quarter mile back to the office. We did not find any restaurants within walking distance. Clayton's and Captain Curt's are both a mile from the unit. This is not appealing to seniors with bad knees. The restaurants in Siesta Key Village (a couple miles to the north) were disappointing. We tried five of them. The food was mediocre, and the prices were high. These restaurants seem to cater to a young, drinking crowd who favor the night life. The Palm Bay grounds are impeccable, and they are constantly being maintained. The weekly housekeeping service was a definite plus. The office personnel were very friendly and helpful. During our stay, the plumbing in our unit was causing a leak in the unit downstairs. We spent a day not being able to use either toilet, and we were "tied to the unit" because we had the plumbers in and out. The people downstairs had a large hole in their ceiling and needed additional drywall work after our pipes and toilet were replaced. However, in both our cases, management (in conjunction with our owners) generously compensated us--without our even asking. That was a definite plus. I would recommend this unit to small groups of girlfriends or families with small children who are interested in just hanging out at the pool--and not interested in sunbathing on the beach.

Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, sightseeing.

Owner response: We are so glad to hear that you enjoyed your stay in our condo and that you would reccommend it again. The private beach access is straight through the complex and for those who want it, there are parking spots available if you choose to dry the short distance. As you noted, our condo is on the intercoastal side of the Key and there is a view, as depicted in our picture, of the water and overlooking the well maintained grounds. Your enjoyment is our number one concern and our unit has all of the major supplies to provide this, however, if you are in need of anything additional, the office is more than happy to provide it for you. We enjoy heading down to the village that is 1 1/2 miles just north. It is quaint with literally dozens of locally owned establishments ranging from yummy breakfast, to delicious blackened Grouper sandwiches, and on to fancy white table cloth for the evening. Most are casual and low-key for the vacation crowd or those traveling with families, but there is plenty for all. Hopefully you will have a chance to check further into them out on your next visit. The unforseen problem with a shower plumbing pipe, in one of the two bathrooms, was unfortunate and we are glad that our means of showing our concern and appreciation for your inconvenience was received, along with the tenants below. Once again, thank you and we hope you have a chance to visit Siesta Key again with even more favorable results.

We have stayed at this condo three different times now and find that it has everything that is needed for a great vacation. The location is ideal, close to the beach, several great restaraunts and shopping. The condo itself is well-laid out with comfortable up-to-date funiture and all the conveniences of home. The complex offers many amenities. We absolutely love the Palm Bay Club and have been coming here for about 15 years. We will definitely keep returning and renting this property yearly!

Recommended for: Families with young children, age 55+, romantic getaway.

Owner response: Thank you so much for your review! It is greatly appreciated. We would love to have you stay again. Best wishes.

"This is a family run, very friendly operation. The bikes are pretty basic, but they make it very easy for pick up and delivery. You can call in advance and just let them know what you need. The kayak trip goes out of Lido Key and it is incredibly relaxing and a new discovery every time. Call them ahead of time at 1-941-346-0891. They are adjacent to the Stickney Point Bridge."

Call ahead to reserve this outdoor seating. They are located on the south end of the island near Turtle Bay."

"There are several of these restaurants in the Sarasota area and we now have our very own on Siesta Key. The food is incredibly fresh and adjusted daily based on availability. The prices on the menu are surprisingly very affordable for the quality and selection of the menu. This is an affordable place to take the family for a well above average dining experience. We dined twice in one week the last time we were down :) "

The prices on the menu will set you back a bit and we usually save this place for a memorable experience. Their bartenders know how to make a great Mojito!"

                  Year Purchased: 2008

About: We reside in Louisville, Kentucky and are the proud parents of three girls and two boys. We enjoy going to Siesta Key and taking every opportunity to continue to keep our condo in top shape.

                  Why Palm Bay Club:
We love the low-key and quaint lifestyle of Siesta Key. This island is the ultimate beach-town with no commercialization around. Being in Southwest Florida, it is centrally located to several airports, the weather is consistently warm and sunny, and this complex is so well maintained.

The Unique Benefits at this Condo:
You can not help but relax when you come here. We enjoy the pool and watch the boats sail by and look for dolphin. Many times we will get a boat and dock it at one of the private boat slips that are available to owners/guests and we take them up and down the Intercoast or Gulf. The toughest decision all day is where to go to eat or do we grill out by the pool.
