What a perfect place
What a perfect place
We just spent a few days in wonderful Langley at Maple Cove Beach House. We enjoyed this bright and inviting waterfront home and felt we could almost touch the water. It doesn't get much better than this! The high bluff allows you to have the most amazing view and is very private. The owner has provided everything you could need and more. Besides being exceptionally well laid out, everything is labeled too. We will be back this winter to cozy up by the fire and this time share it with friends as the bedrooms are situated on opposite ends of the house for maximum privacy. Thanks for sharing with us and we will continue to make this our little hideaway!

Cozy and comfortable
Cozy and comfortable
The house was in a lovely location and nicely remodeled, decorated and very well equipped with everything needed from games to kitchen supplies to cooking sundries. (We own a vacation rental and I picked-up a some good ideas to add to our home from staying here.) It is listed as water front property, which is a bit of a stretch since you have to walk a distance to get to the beach. We never actually found the beach but were satisfied with the view and the nearness to Langley. I only gave a four-star rating because although the house was very clean and well presented every time I sat on the sofa my eyes would puff up. I think it had been a long time since someone cleaned under the living room furniture--lots of dust bunnies there. All in all, it is a great house and a wonderful place to stay. I wouldn't hesitate to go back.

Owner response: Thanks for your review, Rebecca! Sorry that you did not find the beach. We have explicit directions in our notebook and it is only two blocks away. This is indeed a true waterfront property, a high bank waterfront and it is listed as such in our ad. There are different types of waterfronts and our while not beachfront it offers more amazing views and privacy. We hope to see you back on your next NW trip! Much thanks ~Debra
Wonderful experience. Felt right at home. Beautiful view. we could have stayed longer. Would definitely come back again!

We really enjoyed our stay here. The property was even better than we expected. Never got tired of the view, even with a fair amount of rain. The property is close to the Clinton Ferry and a number of very good restaurants. Highly recommended.

A wonderful place to stay!
A wonderful place to stay!
Maple Cove Maple Cove Beach House is open and spacious. It is tastefully furnished with all the essentials and then some. It offers privacy while at the same time being near Langley with its shops, restaurants and the Star Market. The views of Puget Sound are beautiful not only from the large deck but looking out from inside the house as well. The neighborhood is quiet with inviting country roads for walking. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend the Beach House.

Maple Cove Beach House was the ideal location for my family to stay in during our daughter's wedding. The house was clean and very well maintained. It was well equiped with many amenities like dishes etc.. that allowed us to entertain several wedding guests who had never been in the area before. The setting was ideal with beautiful views and a wonderful deck where we were able to sit back and relax The town of Langley was just minutes away with fun shops and restaurants. Our friends and I would definitely return for a weekend away from the city to kayak, hike and explore.

It was even better than we thought it was going to be! We rented 6 different houses on the Island for a wedding on the first of Septemberl. the house was so open, lots of space and everything you could think of was already there. The deck and view was amazing. I am coming back for sure!

We arrived a the Maple Cove Beach house on a Thursday to stay for a week. We were overjoyed at how beautiful the house was and the view...spectacular!! There isn't a detailed that hasn't been thought of and made available to the guests staying at this house. Langley is charming! There is lots to poke through at the Star store and the art gallery has a lot of hidden gems to admire/ One of the best vacations we have ever had, peaceful, relaxing and beautiful. We will be back and we may even stay longer.

Oh. my. goodness. I don't think I can adequately describe the functionality of this house - it fit all our needs to a "T". Thank you for allowing us to stay at your Maple Cove house. Our week there could not have been more perfect! My husband, my sister and I thoroughly enjoyed our time - getting up each morning to watch the sun rise was an unexpected blessing for me. This home is equipped with absolutely everything a person needs for a long stay and we loved the flexibility of making some of our meals there - eating on the deck or in the dining room. It's perfectly located for day trips into Seattle or to explore the island. Langley is a great place to hang out for a day, but we mostly enjoyed the freedom to come & go or hang out and read. The weather was perfect while we were there and while we did not get to see Orca's, we were treated to an all day running of "Humpies" as school after school of them jumped and splashed from island shore to mainland shore all across the water. At first I thought it was wind causing white caps on the water, but with the binoculars [provided by Debra] allowed us to see the fish quite clearly! They were quite large too! We strolled through the neighborhood in the evenings and met some friendly people who gave us interesting island information. We enjoyed good food in Langley - try the Sticky Toffee Pudding at Mo's Pub...YUM! We love a good cup of coffee and found many places serving island roasted coffee. Ivar's at the Mukilteo pier has the best clam chowder and crab bisque. I HIGHLY recommend this area as a place to visit and of course Maple Cove House is THE place to stay!

About the owner: I am a native Californian that has had the opportunity and pleasure of moving to the great Northwest 15 years ago and experience all that there is to offer. I love island life and enjoying the magnificent water views and abundant wildlife. Urban life is always just around the corner which provides a get compliment to Washington's natural beauty. I have two wonderful Daughters and love being a Mom and am a Caterer by trade. I love decorating and gardening and have poured this into my Langley home.
Why the Owner Chose Langley:
Langley was instantly appealing to me. It is a quaint seaside town reminiscent of New England yet it is a mere 30 miles from Seattle. A perfect setting to enjoy the water and outdoors. One can enjoy a variety of activities from kayaking, fishing or golfing. The trails and variety of beaches to explore are boundless. I have loved exploring Whidbey Island! Langley has the perfect mix of shopping, dining and the outdoors.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
You will be able to enjoy the peace and serenity of the slower pace of Whidbey Island while still having convenient access to all that the Puget Sound has to offer. You can have the opportunity to closely observe Bald Eagles and other wildlife as well as the possibility to see Grey Whales (seasonally) and seals. You can spend endless hours clamming, fishing and beach combing or just taking a nap on the deck! For dining in Langley, for the adventurist palate dine at the The Inn at Langley with Chef Matt Costello for a true foodie experience, or the best pizza west of NY try, Village Pizza. The list goes on and on!
