Wonderful and relaxing weekend!
Wonderful and relaxing weekend!
What a fantastic find (and only 2 hours from NYC)! Howard met us on our arrival to show us around the house and property. The house (which comfortably slept 8) itself was spacious and had everything we needed for a weekend away, including beach towels, grills, fire wood, a paddle boat, and a kayak. We loved cooking all our meals and swimming all day. The proximity to the water, the fire pit, and the floating dock were huge plusses! Brown's Pond was lovely and the locals were welcoming. We hope to come back in the future!

We had a couples retreat for my birthday, my brother and his girlfriend, their friend and significant other and my girlfriend and I. This place was more than adequate with space. It was very private with a large fenced in yard, so it would have been perfect for my girlfriends dogs to come too. We had everything we needed to create new and interesting dishes for breakfast, lunch and dinner and if you wanna grill they have 2 large Weber charcoal grills with the charcoal so you really don't need to bring anything but the food and yourself . The place came stocked with firewood for both in fireplace inside and the fire pit outside which was awesome with a glass of wine and the sunsetting over the lake. I highly recommend this place if you want to getaway from everything but still be close enough to go hang out at the local bar or shop around town in Rhinebeck.

Exceptional Lakeside Retreat
Exceptional Lakeside Retreat
My family stayed at this house this past weekend and it was amazing! The pictures do not capture the beauty of this home. Howard welcomed us upon arrival and gave us a tour of this lakeside retreat. The property was cleaned and well maintained and full of character and charm. We loved the lake and the paddle boat. The kitchen is beautiful and large enough to comfortably sit everyone. The hammock was a great addition for those lazy afternoons. I would recommend this house to anyone, who wants to have a great vacation and relaxing time.
