The Copper House was as described. Neat and clean, and had all of the amenities needed!! A very unique vacation rental, the entire place is fenced and very safe. Nice patio and great view of the mountains! Both the owner and on-site contact were very prompt and helpful. Recommend this place for sure!

We enjoyed our two week stay at the Copper House. The property was clean and well maintained and was accurately depicted in the photos shown on the website. The owner was very helpful and responded promptly to all of my requests for information. The reservation process went smoothly. The property was comfortable and well furnished. The bed was really comfortable. We really like to walk, but the unit is not really within walking distance of much (Tucson is not a really walkable city, in our experience), but with a car it was close to a lot of daily necessities. Grocery shopping was close by. We cooked in the room a lot, and found it was fine for our needs. It was great having the grill, which worked perfectly. There was a great patio to sit outside and have the evening cocktail while the grill heated up. We had our dog with us, and the property was well fenced and great for a pet. It was great being able to get up in the morning and let the dog out for her morning constitutional without having to get totally dressed, leash the dog, etc. Our dog is very calm and is not an escape artist. There is a small park close by to take the dog for a walk. We recommend Catalina State Park for a dog who likes a longer hike - Rio Rillito is great for daily walks also. There is a parking area for Rio Rillito across from a Trader Joe's, so it worked great for us! We totally enjoyed our stay - if you haven't been to the Sonora Desert Museum, you must go and make sure that you are there for the Raptor demonstration.

We have used VRBO on many occasions and the Copper House is on the top notch! Michael was easy to reach and book and Dixie did everything she could to get us in as early as possible on arrival. The 650sf modern pre-fab "casa" is extremely well designed and cared for. The coolest thing is that it conveys being outside while you are inside with its ubiquitous use of windows. The location is also a big plus being only 20 minutes to the front-range trailheads as well as 10 minutes to the cultural hub downtown. The location off the alley made it actually quite private in relation to the surrounding homes. We stayed a week and had a wonderful time and could not have asked for the better place to experience the wonderful city and desert of Tucson. The only thing I would recommend is the addition of a stereo system for people like us who prefer music over tv (one that may also dock with iPhone/iPod etc.). Great place overall - highly recommended!

My husband and I rented the Copper house during Tucson Gem Fair. We loved EVERYTHI NG about it. Copper house is a wonderful hide-away that we wish we could keep secret. We enjoyed the king size bed, the kitchen, the shower... everything was perfect. Michael was great to communicate with. Dixie did a wonderful job readying the place for our stay. We hope to stay again real soon.

What a wonderful space! Lovely, light filled room beautifully designed with all we needed for our 3 day stay. Very comfortable king bed. Sun on the private patio each morning with a mountain view. Breakfast at the Cafe a La C'Art in the Tucson Museum of Art building was delicious. Don't miss the lattes and amazing pastries at the Raging Sage on nearby Campbell. Michael was very helpful and Dixie even gave us a call to make sure we got in ok the first night. Great value!

I was incredibly impressed both with the property and with the communication from the owner. I decided to stay here as a birthday treat for my girlfriend and could not have been happier. From the minute you walk in, it's clear that this is a thoughtful, quiet, clean, relaxing place to be. I couldn't imagine even considering another place to stay in Tucson now that I know this place is here. The patio offers a wonderful place to take in sunsets and enjoy wine and good food...the windows in the house offer views of the moon in the evening from wherever you're sitting. The open floor plan makes it easy to relax, cook a meal, and never lose sight of the people you're with. Whether a family or a couple, this place has everything you could possibly need to enjoy Tucson.

The Copper House is the best vacation rental I have ever used. Everything you could possibly need is furnished (coffee! yay!). The house was spotless when we got there and is very secure and private. The caretaker Dixie was easy to work with and Michael, the owner, was gracious and accommodating.

I had been very ill and just wanted to get away and relax somewhere else for a couple days. The copper house is beautiful inside and out just as in the listing. The kitchen has everything you need to cook any type of meal or dessert. The neighborhood is very quiet. Michael and Dixie were wonderful people to work with. The dogs had a great time and we are very grateful they were able to go with us. There is much to do in the immediate area. Check out Pinnacle Peak, the food is amazing and the surroundings are something to see! Something for everyone. Mount Lemmon is a beautiful drive to the top. The only negatives we have to say is the cable was basic and there was black fine animal hair all over including the sheets. This property's reviews have been excellent this may have been a one time deal. I definitely would stay there again! Thank You Michael for the great getaway!!!

What a wonderful, elegant, stylish, pristine, private alternative to boring, noisy hotels! Stunning studio/suite home in a quiet neighborhood and ended up being closer to where we needed to be than any hotel. Very clean, very comfortable and very convenient. The a/c easily kept us comfortable in record Tucson heat. Watching the monsoons roll in over the mountains in the evening was spectacular. The only, and MINOR, negative is that we never were able to connect to the wi-fi. Our iPhones, iPads and laptop just didn't see it—ever. But we got around it by using our iPhones as a personal hotspot, so no biggie. I'm about as picky as they come and can heartily recommend the Copper House. Will book it again in the future, although I wish the prices were lower during mid- to high-season!
