Powell River is located on the northern Sunshine Coast of southwestern British Columbia, Canada. It is home to some of the most spectacular parks and beaches on the west coast of British Columbia.

The Sunshine Coast offers ample recreational opportunities such as kayaking, canoeing, swimming, rock climbing, biking, golfing, boating, hiking, fishing and scuba diving.

The Cottage:

The Powell River vacation home is approximately 1500 sq.ft. and all on one level. Inside, you will feel at home and be able to relax in a well appointed 2 bedroom house. The house is built for year round residency and is an inviting getaway for any experience - from family and friend time to romantic vacations or individual retreats.

Living Room:

The living room is open and spacious. You can curl up on the couches and chairs to watch TV (cable with 60 channels), read, play games or just gaze out the window. A DVD and CD player with radio are also there for your use. Wireless internet is provided.

The Cottage Sunroom:

What a spectacular view! One of the most sought after rooms is the sunroom, situated at the front of the house. There is space for 2-3 people to have coffee or a meal while watching the beach and ocean activity. A daybed in the sunroom provides a single bed sleeping place while also being a great spot for reading or maybe an afternoon nap.

Kitchen:

The kitchen is well stocked - electric oven and range, microwave, full size fridge with freezer, toaster and coffee maker. All eating and cooking ware is provided, along with dish towels and soap. On the deck, the propane barbecue and tools are available to use.

Master Bedroom:

The master bedroom has a queen size bed and a very large closet with built in shelves. All beds have quality linens, pillows and duvets or comforters.

The 2nd bedroom has a double bed with closet and en-suite 2 piece washroom. This room also has floor space for a single foam mattress or air bed.

As well as the new queen and double beds in the bedrooms, there is a pull-out queen size bed in the living room. Notice of use of the couch for sleeping is required as an extra foam mattress will be made available for the bed. As mentioned above, a single bed (daybed) is in the sunroom and there is floor space at one end of the living room for a foam mattress or air bed (guests to bring their own). The vacation home can sleep 8 people.

Bathrooms:

The main bathroom (next to the main bedroom) is a full 4 piece bathroom with shower and tub. There is ample cupboard space for toiletries and beach towels. There is also a second 2 piece washroom en-suite with one of the bedrooms.

Other Vacation Rental Amenities:

Cards, some board games and books are available for your use. While equipment is not provided, the yard and beach provide great areas for badminton, bocci ball and beach volleyball. A nearby park (10 minute walk on beach) has a baseball field, tennis court and playground equipment for children.

You will find outdoor patio furniture on the deck, with an umbrella.

Your car can be parked immediately outside the door to the house. There is room for RV parking on a cement pad and additional vehicles or a boat can be parked on the property.

There is a washer and dryer in the house. The washer requires careful use and we recommend minimal use. The house in on a septic tank so care must be taken as to what is flushed down toilets and washed down sinks. The water comes from a spring, and while it has been tested and exceeds safety standards, we use bottled water for drinking. Please provide your own bottled water if you wish to use it.

NOTE: Bed linens and bath towels are provided. Please bring your own beach towels.

Kayaks and canoes can be put directly into the water from the beach. A boat launch site is situated within a 15 minute drive.
