The condo was nice and clean. The pictures are representative of the condo. There were a number of small issues (for example, quite a few outlets and/or light switches didn't work; no spare toilet paper, just what was on the rolls) but overall it was a good place to stay. It would have been helpful to have a couple more beach towels. There weren't enough kitchen utensils for the number of people the condo can sleep. Fortunately we were a small party, so we just hand washed everything after each use but a larger party would have to be more creative. We appreciated that there were some beach and pool toys...wish I would have noticed them in the washer/dryer closet before I bought my own. The "regulars" who live at the condo year-round seem very nice! There was always a small group up on the main deck at sunset, happy to chat with those who came up. The proximity to the beach is fantastic. My daughter is almost 4 years old, so it was great to be able to run back and forth from the beach to the condo so easily. There were tons of shells on the beach. The sand itself is incredible. We saw rays swimming right off the shore several times - amazing and always drew a crowd of onlookers. The parking spot for this condo requires parallel parking up against the building. The building was nearly empty when we were there, so it wasn't a big deal but something to consider if you are parallel parking challenged and visiting during the busy season. :) There is a rec room near the pool area. The foosball table was fine; air hockey table didn't work. The pool is small but nice and clean. Our experience with the rental management office was frustrating. Maybe we were just unlucky (everyone has off days), but I was disappointed in their level of responsiveness and preparation for our visit. I contacted them a week before we arrived to confirm. They told me to call the day before to arrange key pick up. I left a message and they never called back - said they didn't get the voicemail. I got there and our rental welcome materials weren't ready even though they knew we were coming. Was told they meant to prep it, just didn't in time. Forgot to give me a parking pass. Fortunately I noticed right before they closed! It mostly came off as unprofessional and an inconvenience, but if this is important to you know that you may need to be very proactive with the management office! All that said, I'd recommend the rental. Great location and nice condo. Enjoy Siesta Key - we sure did

I can tell you that we have discontinued using them and have established a relationship with a new company. We are very excited about the new company, they have gone out of their way on many occasions to make our guests vacation experience as easy and comfortable as possible.

Fantasic Vacation

My husband and I just left the property and we had a wonderful time. The room was so clean and up to date as well as stocked with most of your everyday needs. The property is beautiful and felt very upscale as it is somewhat secluded from others. We had a great vacation and feel we have found our future retirement spot on the island, we will definitely return!!! Oh, and the Sniki Tiki is a blast. Thanks, Jared.

We were very happy that the apartment was available for this past weekend, you have every comfort available. This time we took my sister and brother in law and they loved staying at Siesta Key. I was a little disappointed with the shells that Debbie and Isaac brought to the beach but the sand is still gorgeous and the water unbeatable. This time we went to Point of Rocks and had a lot of fun walking around on the rocks and watching the sunset. Sunday night we went to the circle of drums... a little too rich for our taste... Thank you for allowing us to stay at your condo, we look forward to returning next year. We are going to try to make it whole week next time... we will pray and wait!

One of the best beach locations

We stayed at the condo for about a week in september and loved every bit of it; the place is spacious, very clean, well stocked and very functional with the two bedrooms and two baths; inside the unit laundry was great as well; beach access from the unit itself was a hop away! Keep all your water toys in the car and use them when you need; we bbq'ed outside near the pool almost every evening and watched the sunset daily; rented bikes and went biking ont he beach as well; kids loved it; Owner is very nice and so is the local contact that check you in. Thanks for sharing your place with us!

The condo was well equiped with every thing you could need. It was comfortable and homely. Neighbors was quiet which was important to us. The price for what you got was reasonable for a family of four which was cheaper then other rentals,. We would certainly go back again and rent the same place. Management and office staff were the most helpful and all in all the trip was relaxing and hassle free.

Thank You for letting us rent your condo at "House of the Sun". It was a spectacular vacation and we have decided to make this our vacation destination every year from here on! The condo was extremely nice and the location was superb. We will definitely be staying at your condo again!

This is our second year at House of the Sun...our first in you unit and we definitely are coming back next year. Location is wonderful and people who stay here are warm & friendly. Thank you for the use of your home @ the beach

Your property is great, very child friendly. Our 3 children enjoyed themselves and we ALL agree this is the BEST place we've stayed at in Siesta Key. Look forward to visiting again & would recommend to friends & family.

I have been coming to Siesta Key since 1982 with my family and we would stay in SeaShell Condos. I am now a single mother and wanted to bring my daughter and show her the powdery white cool sand and gorgeous sunsets. This condo is spectacular! It is very comfortable with all the extras. The place is beautifully decorated and very spacious. Having a washer and dyer is a definite bonus when traveling with children. Directly across the street is Captain Curt's restaurant, the Crescent Market (grocery store) along with many little shops and boutiques. Further down the street (but walking distance) you will find Davidson Drug store, Beach rental supplies (bikes, wagons, etc) and 7-11. From the beach you are a short walk to the wall of rocks which has been a favorite of mine since I could remember. NO OIL! NO TAR! Only Crystal CLEAR water and white sands! I book it last minute and even being a Sunday the owner made it happen. Will definitely rent next year.

We only stayed for a few days, but definitely enjoyed the house of the sun. First off, the condo was beautiful! From the moment we walked through the doors we were impressed. Everything has been updated and the decor was very tasteful. We had breakfast on the deck each morning and enjoyed the ocean view. The condo is directly on the beach- an easy walk down the stairs and through the gates and we were playing in the ocean. Wish I could go back today!

We stayed at the House of the Sun for the first time. It was very convenient to have many restaurants within 100 yards from the building. Our kids could walk across the street and buy slurpee's from 7-11. There is even a little shopping mall across the street with a drug store.

What a beautiful place! We really enjoyed watching the sunsets with the other guests on the roof. Weather was a bit cold, but still consider this one of the most beautiful places we have seen. The condo was perfect, very clean and fresh, we loved the colors and appeared things were recently updated. Will surely stay here again.

I stayed at the House of the Sun with my girlfriend and had an excellent time. The condo was nicely decorated and had new and clean appliances. I especially liked having laundry within the unit so I did not have to pack as much. We only had 2 people with us, but wish we would have brought friends to stay, as there is a nice bath for both bedrooms. Being on the beach and having a private entrance onto Siesta Key Beach was wonderful as well!
