Big Ten Bungalow is located on the beautiful sandy beaches of Lake Michigan. The house is located in the acclaimed community, as seen in Coastal Living March 2005.
Big Ten has three bedrooms and two and a half bathrooms. The master suite has a queen bed and a newly renovated bathroom with custom "spa shower." The guest bedroom also has a queen bed. These two front bedrooms have immediate access to the covered upper deck, which includes tables and chairs, and a large hammock for relaxing out of the sun. The third room is set up for kids, with bunk beds and a twin bed with trundle (good for 4 people) great for all ages. The house is child friendly with high chair, pack n' play, crib mattresses, and ample toys. Bikes, strollers, beach toys and a golf cart(needs to be rented).
On the first floor, the family room is equipped with a queen sleeper sofa, high cathedral ceilings, and a fireplace. This room has immediate access to the surrounding back deck, for dining al fresco. The first floor is an open plan, with eat in kitchen, island, living room, and dining room that comfortably seats 12. The house also has stereo with CD, DirecTV, VCR/DVD, extensive movie collection, video games, and outdoor speakers.
The front lower porch is screened in and has a dining table for six with surrounding rockers. The back porch has large Weber gas grill, and umbrella covered dining table that seats six. For outdoor dining, we have installed a fold down buffet.
The community added a new pool for 2005, and features various amenities unique to our community. Highlights are the new basketball court, tennis court, playground, cafe, and man made lake that is ideal for family fishing.
The house is located less than one and a half miles from the Michigan City Zoo, The Blue Chip Casino, and Lighthouse Place Outlet Mall.

We rented this home for two nights - it was our first time at the Beachwalk Resort and we had wonderful time! This house is perfect for any family with children and is beautifully decorated/well-maintained. We felt right at home. There were 4 adults, 2 infants, and 2 toddlers in our party. The house was stocked with toys, double stroller, beach items, high chairs/pack n plays, children's books, games, etc -- the kids had a blast! It was so nice to have everything already at the house - it made packing much easier. The location is perfect, just steps to the walking path to the beach. It is also just a short walk to the pool and Lake Kai. The owners were wonderful with answering any questions we had and were great to work with. Would definitely recommend to our family/friends and we hope to return for another visit!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, pet owners, families with young children.

We had a fantastic time at this house. Brett and Liz were so helpful. It has all stuff needed for the kids so I did not have to over pack! Also has a extra family room not pictured! SO many games movies and toys for kids. Great back area and close to the pool. Thanks for the hospitality!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, pet owners, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway.

About the owner: We love to share our house when we are not using it. Our children have grown up in the house and we love the neighborhood in the summer. The fall is so pretty with the leaves turning and a much slower pace. Please make yourself at home and enjoy the house as much as we do.
Why the Owner Chose Michigan City:
We wanted to have a place to get away from Chicago and just enjoy our family. We love to entertain and share it with family and friends. We have celebrated every holiday here over the years and look forward to spending time in Beachwalk and at our house every chance we can.
