  My husband, daughter (21) and I just got back from a wonderful visit to St. Simons Island. We enjoyed the island and the ocean immensely and they were made even more enjoyable by the Demere Landing condo and the ease of dealing with the property owner. The condo is beautifully furnished and well-kept as is the property in general. This condo is close to the pool and also near the property lagoon. We enjoyed coffee on the deck watching the ducks and the turtles. We look forward to returning the next time we visit the area.

  Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, age 55+, families with teenagers.

  My girlfriends and I stayed at the condo this past weekend for the UGA/FL game (we're seniors at UGA). The accommodations were absolutely gorgeous. The pictures online - though beautiful - don't nearly do the place justice. The porch view of the lagoon sets such a relaxing mood, and the location is an easy walking distance to the beach. We had more than enough room for our six guests and everyone had the best time. Kathryn was great to work with and we were easily able to coordinate everything needed to book the reservation. If I return to Saint Simons in the future, I would definitely love to stay here again!

  This was our first stay at this lovely townhome condo and we could not have been happier; I cannot imagine a better place to stay on the island! As the pictures show, this townhome is not your run-of-the-mill beach rental. Rather, it is a lovingly cared for and beautifully appointed home. The furnishings, linens, extras (bikes, flat-screen televisions, pool, covered garage, privacy, quiet) were top-notch and made for a wonderful week-long getaway. The property itself (Demere Landing) is well-maintained, clean and quiet. We found that a great way to relax was sitting on the rockers on the balcony, overlooking the pond with its resident ducks and fountains. The owner could not have been more accommodating or easier to work with. We felt like this was more of a B&B experience than the average beach rental. We'll be back to St. Simons (loved the island, beach, and proximity to Jekyll, Brunswick, north Florida and even Savannah), and wouldn't even consider staying anywhere else!

  What a great laid back week. The place is fantastic, and almost immediately felt like home. The condo is spacious and very well appointed. Being adjacent to the pool was a huge plus for our two daughters. It was very quiet and it felt safe. We had coffee every morning on the balcony, while we watched the girls feed the mother duck and her ducklings cheerios right out of their hand. There were three bikes, and that was an awesome way to see the island. We rode to the village several times for lunch and shopping. We also rode the bikes to the beach. We found the beach access at 9th street, which was just at the end of Demere, to be most convenient, and offered a less crowded area than the public access at the King & Prince. One cloudy day we had a family movie day, the couch and confortable chairs in the living room made it feel like home, very cozy. The girls loved the elevator because it was an elevator, my wife and I loved it because it made unpacking all of our stuff a breeze. Access through the garage which you enter from behind the unit, made for easy loading and unloading after a day's outing. Another day we popped over to Jekyll Island and visited The Georgia Sea Turtle Center. It was a great place and we enjoyed learning about the history of Jekyll Isalnd by reading the informative monuments located in the historic area and around the island. We also visited the Summer Waves water park on Jekyll Island. It was fun. We recommend going after 3:00pm, you get a discount on admission, at that time it is less crowded as people are starting to leave (which means smaller lines for the rides), and there is still plenty of time to experience all the rides the park has to offer. Bottom line, we had a great time and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We would certainly recommend the place to others.

  We really enjoyed the bikes. Also being right next door to the pool was very convenient. We will contact you again if we decide to come back.
