Our extended family rented this chalet to enjoy Christmas in a scenic location. We really appreciated that access was simple on our arrival, and the chalet was clean. The owner made a concerted effort to put up some Christmas decorations for us and we noticed their effort and the atmosphere it created. While we only went skiing twice, the one downside is that chalet is really too far to walk to the hill for the young and the old, and parking at Blue Mountain is not much fun at busy times (a drop-off from one family member solves this with the 'remote' parking available at the hill), but once you get over that little bump it is a great place to spend time. Thanks very much for a great time.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.
Owner response: Thanks so much for your input. I'm glad you enjoyed your stay at our chalet but am sorry to hear about your problems finding parking slopeside. We are located 1 km from the slopes and although we have a great view we do not have a ski-in/ski-out location. Parking at Blue Mountain during peak times can be difficult. A few things to alleviate this problem would be to arrive early, avoid the main village and south parking lots, and use the Blue Mtn Inn or north lots. I will be sure to mention this to future winter time guests.
