Custom built with family living in mind, this 4 bedroom+ home offers a comfortable layout with space for everyone. Country-style charm exudes from the property’s pretty garden scapes to its interiors with hardwood floors to its tasteful antique touches. Take a short walk to a pebbly beach overlooking Alley Island, or enjoy a day in nearby Acadia National Park, less than 10 minutes away by car. The property’s setting is a lovely mix of lawn area, perennial and annual plantings, and forested woodland. This is a great place to call home!
FIRST FLOOR: Enter from the side deck to a tiled Entry/Mud Room. The modern Kitchen accommodates up to four at the country table and offers a cozy spot for that morning cup of coffee and fresh-baked blueberry muffin. The adjacent Dining Room with pretty oak furnishings is sunny and spacious with a dining table that easily seats 6 - 8. The home’s open floor plan leads to the Living Room with comfortable furnishings. A Den/Bedroom is set with a twin daybed. A Full Bath with tub and shower and Laundry space completes the first floor.
SECOND FLOOR: Upstairs find the spacious Master Bedroom with queen bed and two additional Bedrooms-- one with another queen bed and the other with a double bed. Full Bath with tub and shower.
LOWER LEVEL: For the teenager or those less-discerning, the homeowner has a queen-sized sleeper sofa set in the basement workout area that can accommodate up to two in a pinch!
PORCH/DECK: Lovely front & back deck. Brick patio with grill in back yard.

This property is gorgeous! Located a short drive from Bar Harbor in a quiet neighborhood, the home is classically furnished with lovely antiques and was spacious enough to accomode our family of seven. Thank you so much for your hospitality!Recommended for: Age 55+, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, girls getaway, pet owners, romantic getaway.

Westie Haven was a wonderful place for our family to stay while enjoying Acadia National Park. The house was very nice, super clean and the gardens and yard were beautiful. It really worked out great for us, especially allowing the five of us to spread out for some alone time after driving together for a few days. The dining room, living room and back yard worked out great for together time. Thanks for the use of the kayaks too! The ocean access was perfect for a few hours of paddling around. Very convenient to stores and all the amazing things to see and enjoy in Acadia!Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with teenagers, families with young children.

This house was perfectly located, close to Acadia National Park, Bar Harbor and many other day trips, although one of the highlights for us all was staying and enjoying this amazing home. Three generations of family gathered in this breathtaking home for a summer getaway. We were immediately thrilled upon arrival. This house has everything you could ask for and more. The view breathtaking and the grounds impeccable thanks to the wonderful owner.Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, families with young children.

About the owner: Arthur & Mary Ann Smallidge We built our home in 2000. We chose Still Meadow Lane in Trenton as it is a quiet area yet close to Mount Desert Island and Ellsworth. We named our propery for our sweet little dog Bearzee a West Highland Terrier full of mischief.
