Fully furnished 1,000 square foot home in nice residential area, a 20 minute drive from downtown and a 10 minute drive to Alki beach. Master has queen bed, second bedroom with 2 twins, queen hide-a-bed, and one bath. This home has a very large fenced private backyard for kids and dogs to run and play.
Beautifully restored, this house was built in 1930 and has lots of cottage charm including crystal door knobs, old camellias and rhodies, and it faces east west for light! Set back from the street, this home is ideal for families - cute and clean. It has private driveway parking for two cars. Additional street parking without time restrictions.
Fully stocked kitchen with dishes, pots and pans - everything you need to cook for yourself. The table expands to seating for six for family meals. All linens, towels and bedding provided.
Beautiful lawns and gardens with established trees and birds to feed. BBQ in the backyard. One of the best local parks is five minutes away - Lincoln Park has a saltwater public pool and a spectacular view of the sunset over Puget Sound. Our spaniel Snowflake loves to go walking on the paved beach trail.
The cottage is located 1 mile up the hill above the Fauntleroy Ferry dock. Easy driving distance of I-5, Highway 99 to downtown and Highway 509 - Just 20 minutes to/from SeaTac airport. The house is not in the flight path - very quiet and residential. You hardly know you are in the city but are close to everything! There is a local caretaker to check you in, help you with directions and take care of any needs. We have had guests from near and far...California, Oregon, Arizona, Michigan, Scotland, and Germany. Everyone loved the convenient location.
Medical visit accommodation: Guests who stay at the house while receiving medical care or who have disabilities will need to discuss the suitability of the house with us before booking. Although this house is one level, it is a single family home and is not ADA compliant. Guests with medical issues are required to have someone stay with them at the house.

We just finished a stay at Holly Tree Cottage. The house was just right for our family of four. It was quiet, comfortable and private, convenient for everything we wanted to do, and we would stay again anytime! The back yard was a great surprise - it's hard to capture the size of it in pictures, but it's large and pretty. Our two boys had a great time on the hammock and swing, and plenty of room to run around. Fantastic deal. The local caretaker did really take good care of us, too. We recommend it highly!!
Recommended for:Sightseeing, pet owners, age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers.

This little gem is a wonderful location for 2days or 2 months. We needed an extended furnished rental location while shopping for a permanent house in the area, and we couldn't have asked for more. We had two little kids and two dogs, and the place was just right for us. Walking distance to Flauntleroy forest park, and a little further jaunt will take you to the Vashon ferry terminal and the greatest park around: Lincoln park, for a zip-swing slide and play ground for the kids and a great beach, heated pool, and hiking paths galore! I swear we were at Lincoln a couple times a week at least for nearly 3 months. The house is on a nice quiet little street with a huge fenced back yard, perfect for kids and dogs. Nothing better to do on a sunny day than layout in the hammock, and grill some steaks while all the littles and furries run around. The house has everything you would need, nice comfy beds and all the gear. We showed up with nothing else but clothes and a box of toys and lived quite comfortably for over 2 months. Cable TV, VCR/DVD, High speed internet, full size washer and dryer, etc. etc.. The kitchen is a hair small without a dishwasher, but it's kind of nostalgic and fun to bump into each other while cooking, and watch the robins nesting in the rhododendrons out the window while washing up. The location is great, there's a couple decent grocery stores (Safeway & QFC) and a full Target and shopping center 5mins away, and you can be down at the Junction in West Seattle in 10, on Alki beach a couple mins later, or over the bridge to Seattle downtown in 15. And don't miss the wander through the woods walk through Fauntleroy forest to Endolyn Joe's (great food and atmosphere), and Guadalajara for Mexican across the street from Joe's makes a good rita. Also it's a lot of fun to go park up on Alki and take the water taxis across into downtown Seattle. Saves on parking costs, and can't beat the view during the crossing. And if you want to ditch the cars all together the buses run from 2 blocks away that will take you anywhere you want to go, very convenient. The kids got a real kick out of the buses, trains, light rail, street cars, ferries, and water taxis alone from all the mass transit options around the city. I would definitely stay here again, and will suggest to any friends or folks that come to visit the area. Carla and Susan were both great and very helpful and accommodating throughout our whole stay. Thanks so much for making our stay in Seattle even better. The cottage was exactly as it looked and we had a wonderful stay. Even had a cook-out the day before we left and invited friends over. Sue, I appreciate your help with the whale watching expedition and I know it wouldn't have gone so smooth without you. We all really appreciate the house and all the amenities you afforded us.

Thanks for the house we all loved it and the location was fantastic for both our arrival (only 15 mins from airport) and even better for ferry to Soutworth. We left house at 10.55am and got the 11 am ferry.
