This area is a fabulous vacation or weekend get away this time of the year. Typical attractions in the cooler months are hunting, golfing, fishing, exploring the many islands and secluded beaches along the lake or hiking or biking in the 50 miles of trails along the lake in the little river blueway.
Vacation with us year round in our three bedroom cabin located on Lake Thurmond (Clark Hill). The cabin has full ammenities. You can launch your boat within a few blocks of the cabin and tie it up at the cabin throughout your stay. In addition to a restaurant at the marina, excellent hunting woodlands and golf courses are nearby. For the hiking, biking and kayaking enthusiast there is over 50 miles of trails in the lnearby Little River Blueway just a few miles away.
The weather here is suitable for outside activities 12 months out of the year. The golf courses never close, fall and winter offer excellent hunting and fisherman and boaters use the lake even during the winter months. If you are looking for a get away for Christmas and New Years this would make a great place to spend that week.
For Masters Golf fans the cabin is only a 40 minute drive from Augusta, GA.

We stayed over July 4th week 2011. Four adults and two children. The bathroom tubs had not been cleaned. We had to clean them before the children could bathe. Dishes were caked with dried food. Thank goodness I brought paper plates and plastic ware. Coffee pot did not work. Kitchen had ants. Carpet was filthy. Towels were thread bare and stained with holes. Picnic tables needed some serious repair and the docks were in need of attention. The location is great. It is such a shame that the owner has let it go. Sent email to owner with pictures and did not get a reply Will not stay again and can not recommend.
Owner response:In response to this review they were upset due to not getting the cabin they wanted in the beginnin and price they wanted. I am sorry they were not satisfied with there stay but our cabins are the best on the lake. They have not been let go.

The location of this is wonderful BUT the homes need some work. There aren't full settings of dishes, silverware, or pots & pans. It was a good thing we brought a pot from home & knew the people next door so we could share these things. Needs a lot of updating.
Owner response:We are continually updating and providing our people who stay with us the best possible, unfortunately those who stay before can ruin it for those after. our pots and pans are fabreware with complete sets of utensils and place settings for 6 not 16 . We have just replaced all cookware in march of this year. Call for more info. thanks cecil
