This home provided us with a very comfortable stay while shopping for our new home and through two months of renovation. There is lots of room with comfortable furnishings in the living room, den, and two bedrooms. The outside areas were nicely furnished as well. The location in Oaks North provided a lovely view of downtown Rancho Bernardo and the community center with pool and tennis was lovely. The house sat on a lovely green belt walking path that added to the views from the patio. The owners were very gracious and helpful. I highly recommend this home to anyone who is looking for a large comfortable seasonal rental.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, people with disabilities, sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway.

The location of the house couldn't have been better. Atop a hill with a wonderful view of the mountains, day and night. The home is even better than the photos.....comfortable furnished, lots of light, high ceilings, three patio areas, a large garage, immaculate. In a quiet neighborhood, convenient to everything. All the shops I wanted were within 5 miles! Only a half hour to the beach, a little longer to the mountains and desert. I especially loved dining and reading out on the kitchen patio, watching the hummingsbirds at the geraniums, the many birds at the feeder and the rabbits on the lawn at dusk and dawn. I even heard coyotes singing at night nearby. It is an idyllic place to vacation. I'd recommend the Cafe Merlot at the Rancho Bernardo Winery (just down the street) and Veranda at the Rancho Bernardo Inn for lovely outdoor dining. Las Olas restaurant by the sea in Cardiff. The Cardiff State Beach.....good parking, great beach. Paon Restaurant in Carlsbad. Chin's Restaurant in Rancho Bernardo.....some of the best Chinese food I've eaten. LaJolla's only a short drive. Dine at The Cottage for breakfast and lunch. In the city, don't miss the Hotel Coronado, all the museums in Balboa Park, the waterfront, the Cabrillo Monument, the Hillcrest neighborhood for art films, interesting shops, restaurants. Rest, relax, enjoy! I did.Recommended for: Age 55+.

Stayed here mid Oct-mid Nov and had a wonderful time. The house is spacious and well furnished and has nice patios looking over the hills and valleys of Oaks North Rancho Bernardo. Very quiet street and quiet neighbors. A perfect tranquil getaway. Walking and hiking trails right out the front door. 3 golf courses within a mile. Aline and Hubert are perfect landlords. Highly recommended.Recommended for: Age 55+.
