We really loved and enjoyed the North Fork Valley, the hiking trips around Crawford and along the riverside!!! We really loved the cozy and clean Dome, that everything we need was there, the awesome view during breakfast, the "hot-chocolate-time" at the porch, the quality-time in front of the fireplace, the awesome starts at night, the snow and the sunny blue sky!!! Rita and Jim - thank you for the lovely Christmas decorations and the always filled up firewood. It's for sure that we will be back some time (we hope soon)!!! Maybe around springtime or summer to enjoy the difference at that time!

  (From The Dome's Guest Book): Thanks for sharing with us your peaceful mountain oasis with us again. And thanks to Jim and Rita for being such good hosts. Within an hour of arrival, all the stress of daily life just melts away... for those lucky folks who will be staying here soon, here's a recipe for a "Perfect Paonia Picnic": * Loaf of fresh baked bread from The Flying Fork (and maybe some cookies, too) * Some olive oil from Delicious Orchards for above (add salt and pepper to taste) * Gourmet truffle cheese from Black Bridge Winery & Farms... and while there, also -A few fresh-picked peaches, pears and apples -A bottle (or two) of Black Bridge red wine * And if you're still hungry, finish off with a slice of cherry pie from Delicious Orchards Enjoy! PS - Don't forget The Flying Fork Cafe for dinner... best restaurant in town!

  (From The Dome's Guest Book): We left our every day lives behind for R & R at The Dome on the riverfront in Colorado. The Dome, the setting, the river out front met all our expectations and then some. Kudos to the carpenter. This structure is magnificent. Close the window in the bathroom before you go to bed or you'll be sitting on a block of ice in the morning! We laughed, we relaxed, we played and had a fantastic time. The echo in the Dome caught us by surprise. It was good for chuckles!

I can't tell a secret in this geo-home. :) We certainly enjoyed all the amenities in your dome and the natural beauty surrounding it! We certainly appreciated Jim and Rita's warm and helpful assistance to everything including finding the light switch in the bathroom. To those after us - please take care of their Dome - we want to return again soon! (Did you see all the orchards?)

The Dome and The Homestead can be combined for large events, reunions, weddings and parties. We would then offer a special, customized flat fee for such occasions... just let us know what you have in mind!
