My family makes a trip up north every year to spend time with the kids and enjoy the snow. This was our favorite home so far! We have made this a tradition since 2005! There was lots of space, an ample amount of cooking utensils, great seating in the living room and close to everything. We would definitely stay again.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children, tourists without a car.

Good stay. Cabin was clean and well kept. Cabin is not spectacular, but definitely worked well for our small group. Guest quarters are pretty separated from the main house (just have to walk through the garage)Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children.

Comfortable roomy home in a lovely wooded setting. Odd floorplan with cramped and wobbly circular staircase in the living room to a second floor bedroom. Very completely furnished with lots of dishes, bakeware, etc. Detailed instructions about fines/fees for arriving a few minutes early or leaving a few minutes late, washing the towels but not the sheets, etc. were a bit much. Property was mostly clean except where we rolled up a rug in the master bedroom to accomodate my Mother's walker. Lots of grit under the rug. The house was pleasant and comfortable. Closets were pretty much unuseable with only 1 hanger in one closet and 3 in the other, and a futon stuffed into each of the downstairs closets blocking access. Linens only included 3 washcloths. Both armchairs at the dining room table need repair - a dab of glue should do it. The arms are loose and come apart and/or pinch the occupant every time the chair is moved. Reservation process was easy and manager was available to answer any and all questions via email within a day.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with teenagers, girls getaway.

Our family went up to celebrate my parent’s 40th anniversary and my sister's graduation from NAU. Such a huge and beautiful house. The kids loved it; even the teenagers put away their cell phones to play outside. Great location. The house is equipment with everything you need to enjoy your stay. Thank you to the owners to opening your home to us.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway.

Thank you so much for the use of your wonderful cabin. We spent a wonderful week there. Everything was just as advertized. Yes, the loft area did have some steep stairs, but my son and his boys had no trouble with them. My daughter and her family stayed in the guest suite and loved it. My 81 yr. old Mom had her own room which she thourly enjoyed. Within the first 30 minutes we were there, 3 huge elk made an appearance. They returned several times during our stay and seemed to enjoy having their pictures taken. The kitchen was a dream, and the laundry equipment was brand new. We did some site-seeing, but spent most of the time at the cabin. The best of all was the wonderful deck! My husband says we will be back!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We stayed here over Christmas 2010. This home has it ALL, and feels like a real cabin in the woods. Plenty of room on the couch, dining table, kitchen, and patio for many people. Our only "complaint" would be that the house is really a 2 bedroom, plus a small loft (after a climb up some steep stairs), and the guest quarters are disconnected from the main house. You have to walk out into the garage and up another flight of stairs to get to the it. But, the guest quarters are very nice and BIG. Either way,our family made it work and we loved it!! Except we ran out of toilet paper the last day...would have liked to have some extra somewhere but couldnt find any. All in all, this cabin is amazing and well taken care of. We definately had a Christmas to remember and would highly recommend it! Thanks again for sharing your lovely home!! :-)Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We just got back from Flagstaff and stayed at this fantastic Cabin. The house was clean and perfectly stocked for us when we arrived, right down to plastic wrap in the drawers - we didn't need anything but our own food and clothes! The guest quarters above the garage was perfect if there are more than one couple travelling. The beds were so comfortable I don't know that I've had a better night sleep! The back deck was huge and so inviting for morning coffee as well as evening gathering to enjoy the nice weather and spectacular ambiance of being in the great outdoors! The location is ideally located both to town and also within just a couple of minutes to Snow Bowl. I recommend taking the lift up even in the summer months - spectacular views, but wear pants and a sweat shirt because it gets chilly up there! Booking the property was a No Brainer and Hassle Free! Trust that you are in good hands! Next time we need to beat the heat from Phoenix and head up to Flagstaff, we would surely book this property again without question! Enjoy -Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

It is apparent that this top-notch property has meticulous owners. The house is in excellent condition and is extremely clean. The house location is great, too. We felt close to Flagstaff conveniences, yet surrounded by a rural, wooded, isolated setting. What a great outdoor patio to enjoy the tranquility!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

You won't be disappointed when you get to this wonderful "cabin"! It exceeded our expectations... it was a "mini-family reunion" with 7 us... everyone had a comfortable bed to sleep in, the deck and views were spectacular, the grill a bonus; we had to go thru the police blockade to get to the cabin (because of the fires), but they had our name & were expecting us so there was no problem there; the guys hiked up on of the hills behind the cabin and came back with tales of incredible views; the kitchen is stocked with everything but food (but does have some of the staples--salt, pepper, sugar, even coffee). We'll stay here again. The only thing missing for our visit??? The elk chose not to come by to say "Hi"..... Don't hesitate... book this before it's unavailable. It's beautiful, but oh so comfortable and you feel at home immediately!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Spent three wonderful days at Casa Del Norte in Flagstaff. The weather was so nice and cool after 100 plus temperatures in Tucson. The house is very well maintained and comfortable. Enjoyed our early morning coffee and late star gazing on the full back deck. Spotted 3 deer one evening. Fished at St. Mary's lake and Dog Hollow in Williams. On the way home we stopped at Josephine's restaurant for a great lunch. Would stay again.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We had our family reunion here in July 09. What a perfect spot. Many of us hiked/biked on the trails close by. The huge deck provided a great gathering place to catch up and relax. Deer and Elk wandered thru the property nightly as we enjoyed our dinner. We went up to Snow Bowl and down to Oak Creak for added enjoyment. We will definitely be back again.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

WOW! Luxury cabin? This is more like a luxury high-mountain retreat home. It is just so peaceful, green, and alive. Flagstaff has always been a favorite place for me to stretch out and enjoy the great outdoor opportunities - hiking, biking, visiting Native American sites (The Navajo Reservation) and just relaxing. Well being in Flag is just enhanced and made extra-special staying here. Been here several years ago with a total of eight persons and we were not bumping into each other! Spacious is the word. Best part - waking up early making coffee and heading out to the awesome deck to breath it all in, plan the day's activities, or just veg with a good book :) I recommend this retreat with great enthusiasm and no reservation...enjoy the beauty!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.
