Our large party stayed at Water's Edge over Christmas. What an amazing experience, and one we will not soon forget! We spilled out into two of the several available houses, and it was wonderful how well the property worked for a large group. Our group stayed in the Bay House and the Farm House, and both were fabulous, each in its own unique way. Each home was impeccably decorated with attention to detail and elegance rarely seen in a vacation rental.The owners were incredibly thoughtful, leaving everything perfect, and even put up a fabulous Christmas tree just for us, The gourmet kitchen was beautifully set up, also gorgeously decorated, and equipped with everything you could possibly need, including marble counters, high end stainless steel appliances, two ovens, two dishwashers (handy for a crowd!) and was big enough to accomodate us all when everyone wanted to be in the kitchen (doesn't that always happen!). Our entire group was easily accomodated at the large dining table. The generous bedrooms were stunning, with fireplaces, seating areas, incredibly comfortable beds, and views to match. We ourselves stayed in the smallest of the three bedrooms, but loved it because it had its own private seating area where we could enjoy a little peace and quiet.Our crowd tended to gather by the huge fireplace in the living room, where we had a roaring fire going most of the time. We walked the 20 acre property, admiring the holly trees and the vineyard, the beach, the dock and firepit, and enjoyed the view from the waterfront decks out over Holmes Harbor, where we saw tons of wildlife, including bald eagles. Our group did not need to use the great room, but I can imagine how fantastic it would be for big events, with its large, gorgeous commercial kitchen, large event/meeting space, and decks overlooking the water. Overall, we would highly recommend this place for others looking for a fabulous unforgettable getaway only an hour's drive from Seattle.
Recommended for:Pet owners, girls getaway, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, adventure seekers, families with young children, sightseeing, age 55+.
