HOT TUB on high ground with spectacular sunset views! Villa Tierra Encantada is in the exclusive Tano Road area (north side) near the Opera, Ridgetop, 360 degree views of five mountain ranges, owner designed 4-bedroom + office, 3-bath custom home in Santa Fe style, on 2-1/2 acres. This home sleeps a maximum of 8 people. All this, and only a 7 minute drive to the Plaza, the Opera or groceries/shopping, restaurants, and cultural events. And…we are dog-friendly, too.
There are window walls with views from every window, privacy, indoor fountain and pond. Every room has unique Santa Fe style architectural features and furniture, colorful décor, original art, pottery, sculpture and carvings. Much of the furniture is custom designed, also in the Santa Fe style.
Villa Tierra Encantada has 5 Kiva fireplaces, 4 decks/patios, and 4 living areas to spread out or follow the sun and shadows as they traverse from east to west. You will be delighted with the outdoor hot tub facing the city lights of Santa Fe. Other high-end homes such as this in Santa Fe, will rent for twice-plus, but we are more concerned about WHO is renting our home when we cannot stay here ourselves.
The four living areas are great for larger groups. There is a large living room with kiva fireplace and magnificent southwestern views, a “pond room” with gentle waterfall and fish pond off the kitchen, and the TV room with comprehensive music system and another kiva. Downstairs is another living room/kitchen with TV. All provide plenty of living space. In addition, there is a separate office with two work stations and a comfortable reading chair. Wireless internet is provided.
The gourmet cook in your group will be delighted. The generous size kitchen is large enough for multiple cooks. It has stone counter tops and built-in appliances and is more than fully-equipped. From the large window you can see all the way to Colorado! This main living level also has a large dining room with chandelier and massive carved dining table seating six to ten.
The master suite has a king bed, kiva fireplace, seating area for reading, a large dresser, as well as an armoire with TV. The master bath has two sinks, separate shower with and circular Jacuzzi tub. There is a large walk-in closet. A deck off the suite provides for private early morning coffee and peace, especially if you have a large group in the rest of the home!
The guest suite is has a queen bed, TV and private bath. It is reached by a dramatic sweeping staircase.
On a lower level there is an entire “mother-in-law apartment” providing two more bedrooms, one with a new king Sleep Number bed and office space, and a second queen bedroom. There is one shared full bath, living, dining and full kitchen.
All amenities are included: Wireless broadband internet access, satellite TV, washer-dryer, evaporative cooling (rarely needed), whole house music system, DVD/VHS, satellite, security system. Our home is pet-friendly.
Outdoor spaces at Villa Tierra Encantada include a winding driveway with parking for up to fifteen cars, a graceful multi-level outdoor greeting area with panoramic views of Santa Fe and the Sangre de Cristo, Ortiz, Sandia and Jemez Mountains (aircraft landing lights from the Santa Fe airport, or in the far distance, the Albuquerque Sunport, can be seen at night).
Decks/patios facing to the East, South, West, and North provide entertainment spaces for mornings or evenings. Outdoor radiant heaters take the chill off at night. An outdoor hot tub provides relaxation under the evening stars. Extensive landscaping and mature plantings provide a rich contrast of foliage and colors.
Also located on the property is a separate adobe building which houses an office that is occupied weekdays by one person.

Thank you so much for allowing us to enjoy your home. When we first entered we were overwhelmed with the beauty & design.This was the focal point of a family reunion of 18. Family members from Detroit, Greenville, Boston stayed at the house that was the gathering spot for other family members also staying in the area. The grill was a great way to feed so many and there was plenty of space for small groups inside and out. This was an exceptional and welcoming home to gather in. This reunion was an extra special opportunity for family members to get closer.They will always remember this place.
