We love barnegat light and our family truly enjoyed our stay. The house was newly renovated and felt fresh and clean. We particularly loved cooking in the kitchen (great appliances!). We also liked being able to walk to the local deli, ice cream, etc. The beach tram made getting to the beach much more convenient than when we stayed farther north on barnegat light and had to walk over the sand dunes. The only negative I can think of is that the AC was a bit loud coming on, but it worked well. Our favorite time of the day was enjoying drinks and food on the roof while watching the beautiful sunset over the bay. Amazing views!Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

We loved our stay at Tim's vacation home in Barnegat Light! We have stayed at other rentals in the past - this was by far the best! The home is clean, well- maintained, bright and beautifully designed. We enjoyed returning each day from the beach to this delightful get-away! Friends and family had fun making meals in the spacious, well-stocked kitchen with state of the art appliances. The rooftop deck is a perfect place for your evening meals or morning coffee! The views are spectacular - we enjoyed watching the sunset while dining on the deck. We found the tram a delightful way to get back and forth from the beach - we would also ride our bikes on occasion! We loved that we had a lifeguard stand on the beach too! The outdoor shower is spacious - great design! We enjoyed riding our bikes to the Island store, Sea Food Market, Viking Village and Poppy 's ice cream store. If your in the mood for breakfest go to Mustache Bill's! Tim takes great care of his property and is a pleasure! He goes out of his way to make your stay enjoyable. We plan on returning next year - thanks Tim!!Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

My family loved this rental. Everything is brand new and the pictures that are posted don't really do it justice. The owner is efficient and helpful. The kitchen is amazing and well stocked. I could go on and on about the outdoor deck with its hot tub, upscale grill and breathtaking views. I especially liked the location -- in my opinion this end of the island is the most peaceful, least commercial, and best maintained. We filled our week with the simple pleasures of a shore vacation.... Pristine family friendly beach, board games on the screened in porch, kite flying with Old Barney in the distance, walks to Poppy's each night for ice cream...... We definitely plan on coming back!Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, age 55+, girls getaway.

My now husband and I were lucky enough to book a week at this house to host our small family wedding. The set up was absolutely perfect! This is a home that truly looks better than the pictures when you arrive. The roof deck was spacious and perfect, and has views of the ocean and lighthouse. The kitchen was fully stocked and overall the house had everything we could have wanted. Tim was helpful and gracious throughout the booking process, and accommodated our multiple questions leading up to our week. Absolutely a wonderful week and experience...would definitely recommend a stay here!Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, age 55+, girls getaway.

I love LBI and this was a great rental for my wife and our two daughters. The house is very well decorated and maintained, with everything you could ask for, and Tim, the owner, was very helpful. My family and I just spent a week at this beach house and it exceeded our expectations. The home is beautiful a nd comfortable-I loved the brand new kitchen. The roof top kitchen and hot top complete with gorgeous ocean and inlet views provided so much enjoyment; watching sunsets and star gazing. The house is very clean and I loved the location. Taking the tram to the beach was fun! All in all, this was a great experience. I never used VRBO before but I certainly will again. Don't hesitate to rent this lovely beach house-you will not be disappointed!!'Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with young children, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, age 55+.

it was my 1st vacation with my doughters and grand babies. BRAND NEW FACILITIES, but the hot water didn't work we had the plumer over several times to fix but didn't work we had to go down to the out side shower and heat water on the stove to bath my grand babies. its not that close to the beach as he claimes you have to take a trolly imagine carrying all beach stuff and the childern and wait for the trolly. the hot tub also needed fix after one use. we left the place spotless and yet he didn't send me my deposit money back till now or answer any of my e. mails or phone calls. don't recomendDid you find this review helpful? We rented the upper level which has the roofdeck and jacuzzi. Everything about the house was great! We had friends stay with us for a few nights so there were a total of 3 kids (ages 9-11) and 3 adults and we and plenty of room for everyone. We also had a dinner party one night and easily seated 11. There was plenty of space for the adults and kids to hang out. The inside of the house is clean, nicely decorated, open and sunny with plenty of windows. There was a breeze most days so we openened the windows and turned off the AC. If the weather is nice the front deck and roof deck are the best. We had coffee on the roof in the morning and cocktails on the roof in the evening. The views are just incredible. You can access the front roof deck from the queen bedrooms and from the outside which is really nice if you dont want to have to go through the house. The kitchen was big and had everything you needed for cooking and the rooftop grill was great too. There is a large table and chairs on the roof so you can eat on the roof deck. The private outside shower was also great to have, especially on sandy beach days. Everyone who came to visit really enjoyed the house and we would definitely rent there again. The street was quiet and private and the neighbors we met we friendly. Lastly, Tim was easy to work with and stayed in touch with us since we were supposed to come down the day of hurricane Irene. He kept us posted on the island and called us when it was safe to come down. I found this so much more personal than dealing with an agent and overall it was a great experience for our first VRBO.Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

This house at Barnegat Light is lovely. It is situated at the very north end of the island offering a perfect respite and escape. The area is quiet and the towns several shops, restaurants, and ice cream parlor are all within walking distance. The walk to the beach through the dunes is long, especially if you are hauling beach gear -- perhaps about 10 - 15 minutes depending on your pace. There are a few little wooden planks and paths scattered throughout the walk and some soft sand to go across. That said, it is a pleasant walk, especially, if you do it earlier in the morning or later in the evening when it is cooler. The tram works very well if you can time things correctly. There isn't a fixed schedule but the wait on the beach end is quite pleasant when there is a breeze. The drivers are all nice and willing to wait for you if they see you making your way to the stop. I think we only managed to make the tram once during the week on our way TO the beach. It is also very easy to drive the few blocks to 9th Street and park your car if you want to minimize the walking or go with your belongings. Once there, the beach is very nice with a fantastic little spot that is almost like a wading pool at the north end near the breakers. And you can always find a spot away from crowds if you are willing to walk a little ways down the beach from the life guard stand. As for the house itself, we stayed in Unit 2 with private access to the roof deck. It is very nicely appointed and tastefully decorated. The layout is really good for a family group. We had up to 7 guests and didn't feel crowded at all. The common spaces/living spaces are wonderful for relaxed visiting -- in the living room to watch a movie or talk, in the dining and kitchen area while fixing and enjoying meals, and even a pleasant screened in porch if the mosquitos chase you off of the roof deck (it only happened two evenings when there was very little breeze). The appliances are top notch with plenty of space for major cooking or quick buffet style meals -- there is even a wine fridge to chill your beverages to perfect beach indulging temperatures. We also fully enjoyed the deck every night whether for grilling, sunset cocktails and views, dining, or the hot tub. We also really liked Tim. He was warm, easy to work with during our planning, and attentive when we had a few minor hiccups during our stay. He clearly takes pride in this wonderful home and makes you feel very welcome.Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, girls getaway.
