My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at this condo. It was close to everything and had everything we needed. We loved our "Lazy" days by the pool and grilling dinner and watching the sun set while we ate. The condo is well furnished and very modern. The bed is very comfortable and it is King size. The grocery store is around the corner and we found a fruit stand down the road with yummy papaya and passion fruit and mangos. We will stay here again and tell all our friends and family about it. I just wish they would allow pool rafts in the pool. ( I did anyway one day and had no problems, I then gave it to some kids and they got in trouble from one of the unit owners...she was a drag....but luckily she was gone the other day we hung out at the pool. )Recommended for: Romantic getaway.

I rented a condo from Martha as a 5 day personal retreat time. I loved it! The condo complex is relatively small and quiet, right on the ocean. My unit was well decorated and have everything I needed in the kitchen. Martha checked in with me and was very responsive to anything I mentioned to her. It's 1 block to a large market, 2 blocks to Coconuts, which has the best fish tacos I've ever had. You can swim at the condo's beach. However, it's pretty shallow during low tides. There are so many fantastic beaches in North Kihei, Wailea and Makena that it's worth the 5-10 mile drive to try them all out.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, families with young children, families with teenagers, people with disabilities, romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+.

My husband and I spent 10 days at this condo. Kihei is a very central location, can drive pretty much anywhere from here for a day trip. This condo complex is really nice and friendly. You can watch the sunset from your beach every day sipping a glass of wine, what more can you ask for!!!! The condo unit itself is very nice, I loved the shower, very modern and the appliances, WOW! not usually this nice in a rental unit! Well done to the owners! The bed was comfortable and the unit was well stocked for the necessities. Thank You VRBO, and Martha! The only two things I would change are these: 1 Add a telephone to the unit, I am from Canada and cell phones from here used in the US are not really an option when you see the bill and the roaming charges that go with it! I carry a long distance calling card with me but here I had to go the the payphone at Times Market every time I wanted to call home, not very convenient. 2 Change the system of coin machines in the laundry room to the cards you can put credit on, the owner can charge an extra $10 or $20 depending on length of stay and put that $10 or $20 on a card left in the unit for the tennants to use while there. It was inconevenient to get change there for someone again who does not have a bank account there.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+.
Owner response: Mahalo for your review. The owner is going to install a phone for use in the condo. The change situation ( getting quarters) for the laundry is tricky. Customer Service at Times will give individuals $3 in quarters. The credit union at Times is a "member" only service.Your best bet is to go to First Hawaiian Bank on Lipoa or Bank of Hawaii in the Azeka Mall for a stash of quarters when you arrive.

We stayed at Waiohuli Beach Hale for 8 nights. The property was well kept, very neat, clean, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The grounds were beautiful with fabulous plantings outside. We loved the Lanai, it was the perfect place to relax and have our meals when we weren't eating out. All the photos of the unit and grounds were totally accurate. The beach in front of the property is lovely and great for walking. At night, after the sun set, the turtles would show up and feast on the seaweed. It was so exciting to see their heads bob up and down while they ate their meal. It was so amazing!!! We would advise shopping at the local store rather than Costco. The prices are reasonable at the neighborhood grocery store, you don't have to buy in quantity, they have a great selection, and you can easily walk to the store from the condo. There are many awesome restaurants within walking distance of the condo, so eating out is easy!! The people we met in these establishments were so friendly and gave us some great advice as to where to go site seeing and snorkeling. For quilters, this is the perfect place. Just two blocks away is the Maui quilt shop. It is little, but stuffed to the brim with beautiful fabrics and has a wonderful staff. On Fridays they teach two classes on traditional Hawaiian applique. It was a fun class and I am now on my way to perfecting my needle turn applique skills!!! The pool is wonderful, the water is so warm and clear and comfortable. There are plenty of lounge chairs around the pool to lay out in the sun and relax after a good swim. We loved the grill area and cooked our steaks out there twice during our stay. It's also a great place to meet others who are staying in the surrounding units while they are cooking their meals! We hope to return to Kihei and stay at Waiohuli Beach Hale again. We would recommend Waiohuli Beach Hale to all our friends and family's. It's the perfect place. It felt like home.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, tourists without a car, families with young children, families with teenagers, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+.

My wife and I spent a week here and thoroughly enjoyed it. The condo is beautiful. Hanging out on the back patio overlooking the colorful grounds, pool, and palms at the beach with a glass of wine was really a pleasure. The beach right out the back is a nice sandy one, great for running, walking, or watching the sunset. We found Kihei to be a good central location from which we could access Waillea, Lahaina, road to Hana, Kahului, and Haleakala fairly easily. It is a much less commercial place than Lahaina or Wailea. I play golf, and the ElleAire course is about a mile away. I really enjoyed the course. A big deal for us was the dependable (and free) wireless access. Martha met us at the condo the day we came. She is sociable and a good source for information. Thanks, Martha.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+.

If you like to feel like you live in Kihei and are not just a tourist, this is a perfect place for you. It is convenient: a grocery store, restaurants, two gyms, a library, and lots of shops are a situated within a block or two. Everywhere I went, there were more locals than tourists. The condo itself was well-managed and was exactly as it appeared in the photos: it was clean, had a well-equipped kitchen, and everything else was as-advertised. The grounds and the pool were beautiful. It was quiet at night. The beach in front was deserted, and I could see the ocean from the lanai. I have stayed in Kihei and Wailea often, and I would say this condo represents the best value for the money. I have already recommended it to friends.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, families with young children, age 55+.

My niece and I found this condo to be quiet, comfortable, and had every feature we desired. There was plenty to do within walking distance, the bus system just down the block, the beach right out the door, and the pool is is much nicer than I expected. The condo and grounds are meticulously well-kept, the people friendly and respectful. I felt quite safe walking to the grocery store (1 block away) at night. There are good Thai, Vietnamese, and Japanese restaurants in the same shopping center, and Stella Blues with live music is across the road from that. I'll be back with my spouse next time.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+.

Our Waiohuli stay at the beach front condo was just what we needed for a enjoyable get away! The Condo was updated nicely, clean and included all the amenities you would need for your stay. We enjoyed sitting on the lanai which gives you the ocean view. At sunset or for our morning coffee you would find us on our lanai or on the beach w/the other Condo guests taking in the amazing views. We were lucky enough to see the whales breaching from our location as well. Which was amazing! We really enjoyed that we could walk to most anything if we wanted to. The grocery store and other restaurants were within a block or two. Other times we'd hop in the car and drive a little further for other desired restaurants/destinations. My favorite restaurant is a place down the road across from the waterfront park....they had the most amazing cinnamon rolls and breakfast dishes. This place is well known by locals. I don't recall the name, however the owner of the Condo is the one who told us about it. I would say it's worth asking them, they had great recommendations! I would recommend this property to you as well as my family. enjoy your stay....aloha!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, tourists without a car, families with young children, families with teenagers, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+.

My wife and I spent 5 wonderful weeks in this unit. It worked out to be the perfect spot for us to launch our daily trips to everywhere on the Island. Martha checked in on us every week to make sure we had everything and that things were in good working order. Terrific kitchen with all the appliances. Very quiet unit with a view of the ocean. We could have not had any better access to all kinds of shopping as well. All of this for a very reasonable price as well. Would love to be back there right now enjoying the wonderful breeze's, beautiful sunsets, and the GREAT beach. Weather back here in Wisconsin just does not cut it. See you soon Martha!!Recommended for: Families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing, age 55+.
