This 1400 square feet cedar sided cabin was built in 1990 and provides a comfortable living area with spectacular views of the lake. The cabin is situated on a point lot with big and deep water. It is located in a large slough facing Kowoliga Bay between the Highway 63 Kowaliga bridge and Chimney Rock. Being situated on the point provides the docks and swimming area with it’s own privacy from neighboring houses. The location is on the Montgomery (south) side of the lake and near the dam and five miles from Children's Harbor. A notable feature is a large covered deck up in the trees coming off the living room that faces the water on two sides making it the perfect spot for entertaining, dining, playing cards, or just hanging out enjoying the water views through the trees or the brilliant sunsets. There is a walkway/path to the lake to a fixed dock and floating dock for mooring your watercraft. The fixed dock has a short runway over the 10’ deep water that is a favorite place for kids to run and jump. Entrance to the water can be enjoyed down wooden steps that allow you to float out into the crystal clear water.
The cabin is open and spacious feeling for it’s size and is built on three levels with the master bedroom at the top overlooking the kitchen which overlooks the living room with all of them having a view of the deck and water. The master bedroom is open at the top but does have visual privacy and it’s own separate bathroom. Looking down from the master bedroom to the right is a separate small bedroom and to the left is a sitting room with a couch/pull out queen bed. The kitchen is fully equipped with the exception of not having an oven (it does have burners). The path to the lake is short but downhill as the cabin is built on a hill which affords the views and year round deep water. Lake Martin is known for it’s excellent bass and crappie fishing that can be done effectively from the dock. This is a great place to spend some quality peaceful get-a-way time. Come and enjoy!

About the owner: Owners Drs. Randall and Nancy McDaniel are respectfully a retired professor and administrator for Auburn University. They have four children and eight grandchildren who love to come to the lake to enjoy excellent quality time in family activities. Randall is a guitar player, bike rider, and sailor from Florida who grew up on the water while Nancy is a horse person from Ohio who has learned to enjoy the lake life. Their permanent residence is in Auburn, Alabama but these world travelers could be anywhere.
Why the Owner Chose Eclectic: The owners have had a long involvement sailing at the Dixie Sailing Club located on Lake Martin. They spent so many weekends at the sailing club that it was a natural next step to purchase this second home. This location has good paved roads to the house, is in a neighborhood with several full time residents, and it has a spectacular view of big water with year round deep water. It is near restaurants and lake activities such as the Lake Martin Amphitheater, Harbor Docks Restaurant and Bar with live entertainment on the weekends, Oscar's, Niffers on the Lake, Sinclairs, Springhouse, Catherine's Market etc. while being only a short drive to grocery stores in Tallassee and to I-85 making it easy to find and less than a 45 minute drive from Auburn or Montgomery.
The Unique Benefits at this Cabin: Boating, fishing, swimming, jumping from Chimney Rock, and water sports are fun while at the property. However, a great deal of enjoyment and satisfaction is had just lazily boating to dinner, church, or cruising the shoreline at sunset - the essence of the lake life. The owners enjoy hanging out reading or dining with friends on the deck or dock. It is a great place to get children together and enjoy their excitement jumping into the water, playing in the canoe, fishing, being pulled in a tube, driving their SeaDoo, or sailing around the slough. We love sitting on the deck in the cool part of the morning and watching the sunset from there or the dock.
