  Our family spent the Christmas vacation in this home, We had a great time all being under one roof Since it rained we were able to stay together inside with plenty of room and things to do! Yoga in the morning, puzzles on the breakfast table over coffee, movies, games, a game of pool and relaxing time in the Jacuzzi. We were able to put a Christmas tree, which made it feel like home. We were able to cook fabulous dinners, since we all think we are home chefs the large and well appointed kitchen fit the bill. Thank you so much for the memories in your beautiful home!

  When we first pulled up to this "site-unseen, selected from the internet" property, our youngest daughter burst into tears. She was convinced that either we had the wrong address or that we had been "taken" by unscrupulous homeowners. Her distress was understandable, given that the house is, in fact, a bungalow with a walk out basement. The featured picture must have been shot in the farthest reaches of the back yard, with the lens at ground level looking up! With heavy hearts and a lot of misgivings, we entered the property - and were relieved to find that it was otherwise exactly as depicted on the website. The "bones" and layout of the house are truly lovely. The view is magnificent. The neighbourhood is safe, clean and quiet. We frequently travel to the island and almost prefer the Sidney area to Victoria; the weather tends to be a bit better (hence the location of the airport a mere 5 minutes away) and the pace is more soothing. The recommended restaurants were, as promised, excellent. Our (email) communication with the owners was invariably pleasant and we appreciated their flexibility around arrival and departure times. The couple who live on site were also very helpful. We were actually grateful that the caretakers were away for most of the time we were staying at the house; we might have felt a bit awkward sharing the property with them, no matter how nice they were. After all, we didn't sign up for a "B and B", but rather, our own private home! While the house itself was beautifully clean, the gas BBQ on the deck was filthy. I would also encourage the owners to invest in a couple of hours time with an interior decorator; the poor quality of the scant art work and the arrangement of the furniture in some of the rooms, could do with a little professional help. Overall, however, it was an enjoyable experience that met our expectations.

  We had the most amazing vacation in the beautiful Sydney/Victoria area, coming home each night to relaxation at it's best! I can't tell you how relaxed we were after staying five days in your fabulous home with your caretakers making our stay so comfy and enjoyable. Thank you Kathryn for everything.

  Dear Kathryn, Wow what a lovely home you have to share with so many people. We would like to sincerely thank you for having our group here to call your home our home! With 12 people here, it was great to share the kitchen, the hot tub, the deck, but yet have space for our own quiet time. Although we were out during the day, it was great to come home, to cook our dinners and enjoy the evening. The view is fantastic, the house has everything we needed. We visited many places, Victoria Butchard Gardens, Coombs, Parksville, Protection Island, but always enjoyed coming home for the evening. Again, thank you for the use of your lovely home, the Gibbons 4-H Sew & Sos

  Dear Kathryn, thank you for a lovely place we could call our home for a week, a perfect setup in a perfect location! You made our family reunion, with members coming from the Philippines, Edmonton, Thailand, Toronto and Vancouver, especially memorable. The young cousins have plenty of space for bonding, and the siblings, who have not seen each other for many years, got to catch up with accummulated stories.   Wow what an amazing home you have. Thank you for sharing! Perfect Location It was even more wonderful with the sunny weather to add. Sidney is a quaint little town. Vaughan & Diane are great caretakers very friendly and gave us tips to local sites. Again the 7 of us were able to relax and have and amazing week together. We came, we saw, it was lovely! Thank you so much for making your beautiful home available. It had everything available that we could dream of and more. The views from every angle were amazing. Definitely will come highly recommended!

  Dear Kathryn, thank you for the great stay in your home. It was perfect for our three generations with quiet spots for reading and soaking, plenty of room for a monopoly game or to sit and sew. Of course a great place to cook and no problem with multiple coods in the kitchen here! Our boys Caleb 6, Julian 7, and Adam 8, loved Panorama Pool. It was quite a bonus to have Panorama Leisure Community Center just down the hill, so close. The hike back up the hill to the park was worth the view! We will be back!
