You will be minutes away from great restaurants and the great outdoors. If you wish to spend time here in the winter you will amazed at the proximity of many outdoor sports including; downhill skiing, cross country skiing, snowmobiling, and of course ice fishing right out your backdoor. This was a girls getaway and we had a wonderful stay. The cabin was very comfortable with soft/comfortable bedding & furniture. The hot tub was our favorite part... sunk-in the deck overlooking the lake @ 103-104 degrees and great jets after a long morning walk or long day of shopping (Brownwood - Charlevoix). The weber grill worked great for fish from the market. We did not get on the lake but the neighbor did say there were some great blue gill or walleye (weather did not cooperate). The whitefish on the grill was some of the best I've ever tasted! The flat screen TV was perfect in the evening in the sunroom after a long day enjoying Northern Michigan. Cabin just had that cozy feeling and smell... real logs and new log/stone addition in the sunroom area. This is a place we would want to come to again. We did bike to Alden (3 miles) there are some cute shops and nice park and Torch Lake boat access. There is a nice shoulder so there were no worries with vehicles on the trek. A big thank you to Joe & staff for a wonderful stay.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

Thank you for a truly amazing weekend! From the time we opened the door to our last minutes at the cabin it felt like home. This cabin is really one of the coziest places we have been and would love to go back to. We spent the weekend doing outdoor winter activites including a winter campfire, hot tubbing, and playing in the snow. Not only did we appreciate the quietness of the lake but we also took advantage of being a few minutes from a wonderful restaurant, Lulu's, and a neighborhood bar, Bellaire Bar. It was hard to leave but we did so feeling refreshed! We would recommend this cabin to all of our freinds and family. The description says it is a little gem and we agree completely. Thanks again.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.
