  I was instantly at home when I walked in the cottage. It was as if someone had set it up especially for me. There was a variety of books to read with seating and good lighting. A writing table in the back room made me consider starting my journal. The back bedroom looks out into a lovely garden with birds and a hillside in the distance. The cottage sparkled with cleanliness and warmth. The nearby town of Ashland was so convenient with fascinating stores. The photos of the cottage are so accurate! I was so pleased and would go again and recommend it to my friends.

  Cottage was the perfect place for our week long stay. Truly a cozy, charming home in a very private setting. We enjoyed morning coffee on the porch and afternoons on the patio out back. The book and dvd collection was a wonderful, much appreciated surprise. As well as the great art throughout the cottage. Fresh flowers and a basket of tomatoes upon arrival, another special touch by Marie and Richard. Yes, we will return.

  My friend and I have rented various cottages in Ashland over the years when we have attended plays together. We absolutely believe that the Aspen Cottage is the most comfortable,peaceful and the most lovely of any cottage that we have rented in the area. The cottage kitchen is totally equipped with anything one might need to prepare for a wonderful meal. The book library and video library is fabulous! The furnishing and art are lovely! The beds, linens and towels are comfy! The hosts are warm and helpful to their guests. One consideration would be the walking distance into downtown Ashland, if that was one's choice. We will definetly rent the Aspen Cottage again!

  This bright and cheerful little cottage was superb! My daughter and I felt right at home: attention to detail was astounding! I highly recommend this property to anyone looking for tranquility, wonderful ambiance and a memorable visit to Ashland!!!

  This was a fantastic place to spend 3 days while enjoying the amenities Ashland offers. The cottage is in a beautiful setting, spacious, very clean and wonderfully decorated. Natasha was wonderful, checking in to ensure everything was in order. I would highly recommend this cottage to visitors in the Ashland area.

  My husband, daughter and I stayed for a few nights- and I only wish it had been longer! We plan to return. The cottage couldn't be more tastefully and beautifully designed and decorated. Favorite moments: coffee in the back surrounded by the lavendar bushes and the magnificent hills! We loved Richard and Mary Anne as gracious hosts--

  This was our first stay at Mary Anne and Richard's Aspen Cottage. We were quite impressed from the moment we drove into the driveway. The cottage is beautiful on the outside, surrounded by lovely lavender (which was prime in its bloom!) and other foliage, nestled in the foothills. Inside was equally impressive, with everything so neat and clean and organized. There are many books for your reading pleasure or DVDs to watch, but with so much to do in the surrounding area, you may not have time to do either! The queen bed is one of the most comfortable beds I've ever slept in, hands down. The cottage is a long walk or a very short drive into the city center of Ashland, where there are tons of restaurants, coffee shops, storefronts, and the like to browse or patron. We were in town to see a play at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival, which always is delightful and highly well done. The Ashland Food Co-op is also highly recommended for food shopping, and it's in town--we went there daily! Thank you, Mary Anne and Richard, for renting your lovely cottage to us. We will most definitely rent it again!

  This was the first time we stayed at Aspen Cottage. We have come annually to Ashland for a week of plays for 28 years. In those years we have stayed primarily at rented houses or cottages; Aspen Cottage ranks as no. 1 or no. 2 of all of our previous places. We selected it--with some trepidation--from the pictures and description on this site; however, this information was bang on. The cottage is efficiently arranged, the furniture is comfortable, the kitchen is complete with new appliances and easy to work in. The garden is pleasant, and the table and chairs in the back garden provide a wonderful spot to relax, read and look at the hills and grassland on the other side of the fence. The view even includes the occasional deer. We will be back.

  Richard and Mary Anne have the most adorable cottage. Very comfortable and quiet with a wonderful reading room off the main bedroom. The reading room is also a comfortable sleeping room for one. The property is gated and private. Lithia Park may be walkable, but we would recommend driving. Main Street Ashland and all it offers is just a couple of minutes. We highly recommend this little retreat. :o)

  My Daughter and I stayed at the lovely Aspen Cottage this month and had a wonderful time. The cottage is so cosy and inviting. The surrounding fields and landscaping are beautiful, it was perfect for plein air painting the green hills. I hope to visit one day when the peonies are blooming, a perfect place for every season.
