We stayed at "C" Street Retreat during the Hood River Harvest Festival weekend. What a beautiful and relaxing place to stay! We thoroughly enjoyed the fireplace and cozy surroundings after a day of hiking around Mt. Hood in the snow. The bed was so comfortable, and the house truly had anything we could possibly want. We wished we'd had more than just a weekend to take advantage of it! Heidi was very helpful in getting us oriented and answering questions. Thank you so much! Would definitely stay again.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway.

C Street Retreat was a perfect place for our family of 4 to stay while in Hood River. The house was very clean and very well appointed. The neighborhood was quiet and close to everything we wanted to get to. The kitchen was wonderful to cook and enjoy a family dinner. We would definitely recommend and stay there the next time we are in Hood River.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

This review is long overdue, but we stayed at the "C" Street Retreat for our second time this past summer. We have stayed at many VRBO places and this is definitely one of our favorites. The owners are absolutely wonderful to work with and they have made sure to supply the house with everything you could possibly need (and more) during your stay. Our family of four stayed for a week and had such an amazing experience. We will definitely stay again in the future!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Some business colleagues and I stayed at the "C" Street Retreat last weekend to conduct some offsite meetings. What a great location! The house isn't far from some nearby services and is a short drive or bike ride to many others. The house was new, neat, clean and fully stocked with everything you would want or need. It was a great experience and I'd love to return with my family to enjoy the house and beautiful Hood River.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We had a small family gathering in Hood River and we rented C Street to be close to my sister's place right near downtown. We have a 2yr old and it was just great for her. And there is plenty of space with two separate bedrooms upstairs so our Aunt stayed in the second upstairs bedroom. Lots of room in the ground floor of C Street in the open kitchen and family room/dining room area. Two small families could easily stay in the place and have a great time. The kitchen is fully stocked with top notch pots pans and everything as the owners clearly like to cook bake and more and you could execute almost any type of dinner from scratch without bringing a thing. On our second night we actually hosted six adults and our daughter and everyone had a blast. As other reviewers mentioned this is so much better than staying in a hotel as the house is completely outfitted. Upstairs you have two fully stocked bedrooms with beds closets etc and plenty of bedding and more. But you also have things you would need for having a kid stay at the house including gates for the staircase and a graco pack and play. You don't need to bring much of anything. While you aren't right in downtown Hood River that didn't make much of a difference to us as we were driving to my sisters house anyhow with our daughter and the location was very close to the grocery stores and everything else we needed during our stay. We would definitely stay here again next time we're in Hood River.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway.

My son and I were there for Christmas, and Heidi even put up a Christmas tree for us! The house was immaculately clean, with a well-stocked kitchen and very comfortable beds. Great place to relax--as a reader, I particularly appreciated the reading lamps in the bedrooms and living room. The only thing lacking was snow, but I'm sure Heidi would have provided it if she could. Highly recommended.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

I just spent the weekend at C Street Retreat with four of my closest girlfriends. We went to Hood River to paddle board on the Columbia and hang out in the quaint little historic district. C Street Retreat was the perfect place to stay, it was less than a five minute drive to the down town area and Columbia river. The highlights: The beds are amazingly comfortable and have the softest sheets I have ever slept in. The decor is modern and clean. This house would be a perfect place to stay with your family, your spouse or just friends. It slept five of us very comfortably. It also had a brand new very large flat screen tv with cable and wifi. The little house really does have everything you need and more.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

The house is more than the photos were able to show--so cute and roomy! Our group of college gal pals were looking for a fun place to reconnect and hang out and "C" Street Retreat was ideal! The open floor plan downstairs made it super easy to cook and hang out at the same time. The beds were comfy and clean, the kitchen was amazingly well stocked, and everything is up-to-date and fun to use. We had such a great time that we've decided to come back every year, maybe even bring our families. Thanks so much!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/1

We loved our week and a half stay here. The house is extremely clean and well equipped. In fact, I don't think I have ever stayed in a vacation rental home that was as clean and comfortable as C Street Retreat. The location is convenient to everything in HR -- quick bike ride to downtown; walking distance to the best coffee and Mexican food in town. Very quiet neighborhood. Helped ease our transition to life in Hood River. Highly, highly recomended. I would give it 6 stars if I could.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

What a wonderful weekend we had in this lovely Hood River home! It is located not far from downtown as well as some of the best vineyards. The beds were comfortable and the linens top notch! The kitchen is well-stocked with quality cookware and cutlery; certainly the best I have seen in a vacation home! This made it very easy and enjoyable to do some cooking and baking during our stay. We appreciated the reasonable rental rate for such a nicely decorated, clean, and updated home. Thank you! We'll be back!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

We traveled from AK to run in the Columbia Gorge Marathon. We were traveling with our 17 month old twin boys and meeting in laws to help watch the kiddos while we ran. This house was perfect, good location, kid friendly, and very clean. It was everything we needed. Heidi thank you for offering your house for rental on VRBO. My wife and I met my uncle in Hood River for a wedding across the river (WA has the better view, after all). After having a horrible experience with another property where the owner claimed to have sent me a bunch of emails as she promised to do reminding me to send a second check to cover the remaining balance, that owner backed out. We suspect that owner had friends or family that needed a place to stay and it was easy to boot us. Luckily for us, we found this wonderful house still available. Plus, the owners of this place brought the transaction into the 21st century by taking credit cards. That took the whole "did you get the check ... OK, can you please cash that sometime this year?" out of the equation. The ONLY reason we didn't rate this a five-start property: it's is a little bit South and West from downtown. It wouldn't have been impossible to walk, but we were only staying two days and had many places to be. With a car, though, it was no problem. Everything is extremely clean and modern, which made this a very aesthetically pleasing place to stay. The beds are comfortable. The bathroom/tub/shower is great. (I probably lingered a little longer than I needed to in the shower because of the fancy shower head.) Need an iron and ironing board? Check. Need a hair dryer? Check. Need to walk to an awesome cafe in under ten minutes in the morning? Check. Someone left behind coffee and ice cream? Bonus! Did you get hammered downtown and don't feel like getting a DUI? Cab ride plus a hefty tip still comes in under $20 (so, I was told). It was great to be able to party with friends and family and then have this place to go take a deep breath before doing it again the next night. Sitting and standing around the island in the kitchen while another sat across the room on the couch made for a great setting to sip wine and laugh with the family. We wouldn't hesitate to do it again, but we worry we'd be left trying to compare it to our great experience.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, romantic getaway.

I satyed here with 3 friends for a girls weekend and it was WONDERFUL! Such a fun, modern place with everything we needed. We all slept so great in the really comfy beds, had plenty of room for cooking and took a nice walk downtown one evening. I would totally recommend this place to anyone going to Hood River, you won't be disappointed. It is also a GREAT price for a rental. The next time my husband and I go to HR, we will be skipping the Bed and Breakfast we usually stay at and heading to the C St Restreat instead!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

My family and I (two teenage daughters and husband) spent two days here at the end of July and we left wishing we had a few more days to spend. The house was charming and well-stocked with supplies for kitchen, bedrooms and bathrooms. We didn't have to run out and buy anything. It was our first trip to Hood River and we loved it. The town was easy to get around; we walked to 10 Speed Coffee Roasters in the morning and the Taqueria Restaurant for a yummy Mexican dinner. Sat outside and almost felt like "townsfolk". The contract process was quick and easy. An all-around wonderful experience.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

I loved staying here. Great for the price. Really clean. Decorated with a warm touch. Well stocked with kitchen supplies. Even had an HDMI cable so we could watch hulu on the large TV in the living room. Nice comfy beds and couches. Loved the small touches like the shared frequent guest punch cards from the local coffee and sandwich shops. Not far from downtown Hood River and about half an hour from Multnomah falls. Would totally stay here again. Easy contracting and quick return of security deposit. Thanks for the great stay!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Our family (parents and two college-age kids) spent a weekend in July at the C Street house. The house is very new and very clean. Everything worked very well, although my husband wanted more TV stations, as he was trying to watch the Tour de France and British Open! The beds were very comfortable, the furnishings very nice and the kitchen extremely well-equipped, as described. Although it was not downtown, the neighborhood was very pleasant. The house was a good base for us as we explored waterfalls, rafting on the White Salmon, wind-surfing lessons, and biking.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children.

We spent two nights at the "C" Street Retreat and found it to be perfect for our stay. The house was very comfortable and had everything we needed. The process of renting the house was very smooth and the owners were extremely helpful. The property was clean and well-maintained. Hood River is absolutely amazing and the views of Mt. Hood and Mt. Adams were breathtaking. We loved driving to the various farms on the fruit loop, the lavendar farms and alpaca were especially memorable! We would definitely stay again!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We stayed with a group of friends for a couple nights and enjoyed all the Hood River hot spots. The location of the house makes it easy to get into town or enjoy biking or hiking in the area. Everything was clean and comfortable! Great to have a full kitchen and washer and dryer for use. We will certainly be back for another stay! Between biking at Post Canyon, Syncline, or Surveyor's Ridge, eating at Double Mountain Brewery and shopping at the local stores you may not spend a lot of time at the house, but when you finally come home you will have everything that you could want.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We spent two nights here this past Memorial Day weekend and had a great time. This house is comfortable, clean, well equipped, is great for groups and the location is quite central; especially if you're a fan of mountain biking as you can easily ride directly to Post Canyon. So my advice to all people that like fun is to make C street your fun epicenter for a Hood River holiday.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

The rental was clean, newly updated, and in close proximity to pretty much everything you need in Hood River! It was easy to find, easy to stay and we had a wonderful time there. For the same cost of a hotel room per night you can have all of the amenities here! I totally recomment staying here...my boyfriend and friends were able to ride straight from the house to many mountain bike trails and I took a less than 5 minute car ride to the Historic Columbia River Highway! Seriously, this place is great.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, pet owners, sightseeing.

Recent construction and new updates throughout, very well appointed. Has everything you need to make it a home for the weekend or longer, owners description and listed features are accurate. Great location with easy access to mountain bike trails, get someone to shuttle you to the top of Post Canyon and ride back to the house! Start your day with some coffee - 10 speed coffee rocks, get the Kickstand blend. Several restaurants within walking distance and a fully equipped kitchen if you don't want to eat out (fully equipped is an understatement, a Kitchen Aid stand mixer, are you kidding me?!?!). Didn't bring my bike with me this time but rented from Discover Bicycles downtown, check them out if you need one, fair price and good service. I would recommend this place to anyone, already have a reservation for my next visit.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway.
