It is a really lovely place for visitors to stay and enjoy all the spectacular cultural offerings of Bogota. Bogota is a great place to live or visit and there is so much culture to discover here. Santa Barbara is an estrato 6 zone (highest municipal rating) located in the north of Bogota. This area is the safest area for visitors and is close to many attractions and near to the main business districts and embassies. For those wanting to explore the Andes to the north it provides a perfect gateway for daytrips, including the Salt Cathedral and Villa del Lleyva. The zone is clean, has plenty of shops and restaurants and is safe to walk around.
