This is a classic Tybee Beach House that is unfortunately become unique. It is a style that was prevalent on the island only a decade ago. Built around the turn of the century, this rustic home was built to capture the sea breezes with wrap around porches upstairs and down and multiple doors. In addition to the complete kitchen downstairs, there is a full kitchen on the porch upstairs which is perfect for boiling crabs and shrimp which are plentiful in the waters.
We are located at the preferred southern end of Tybee and have a have a walled in full back yard.

CENTER ISLE 1808 Butler Ave. IT IS RENTER’S RESPONCIBILITY TO REVIEW THESE RULES WITH ALL THOSE WHO WILL SET FOOT IN THE PROPERTY, especially about smoking and oranges. Check out is 9:00 AM sharp, unless otherwise noted. Check in is 4:00 PM Upon leaving, place all sheets, pillowcases, towels, and wash cloths in laundry room. Feel free to consume anything in the refrigerators, INCLUDING BEER. There is one closet, which is locked, in the house that is mine. Do not disturb. When checking out, empty all garbage into plastic bags and put into green trash receptacle at the front curb. Leave no trash anywhere in or around the house Put any furniture you moved back to its original location. Absolutely no smoking in the house. Leave no cigarette butts in or around the property. It is an old house, so if anything breaks, call me so I can get it fixed or replaced as soon as possible. The air conditioner will not cool the house if the doors are left open. Turning the air conditioner lower than 75 will not make it chill faster. It will freeze up the machine and I can’t guarantee I can get the repairman to fix it during your stay. NO REFUNDS WILL BE GIVEN. The tree in the backyard is an orange tree, not lime. The small green fruit will one day turn orange, so pleeeeeeeease do not pick them. DO NOT DISTURB OR PICK! Disturbing the fruit is grounds for eviction with no refund. If there are any grapes on the vines in the back, feel free to help yourself to them. No linens or bedspreads are to leave the house. The best restaurants: North Beach Grill The Breakfast Club Sundae Café Gelato Store, Seaside Sweets, on Tybrisa has great gelato. The Quarter. It is a dive bar but has the best hamburgers I have ever eaten. Under 21 not allowed after 8, I think. Social. Nice food and drinks AJ’s. It is on the back river and has great views, right on the water. The Crab Shack. Is good place for kids. Burtons on the Beach. It is just a food shack near the house, but I kind of like it. There is parasailing and kayak rentals and jet skis all for rent when you first come on the island. Right before Tybee is Ft. Pulaski, which is fun to explore the fort and the surrounding forest and marshes. And of course, Savannah is a world class destination if you get tired of the beach.

About the owner: I own a contract furnishings/interior design business in Savannah and am married with one baby. I am a life long resident of Savannah, though I travel often and extensively throughout the world. No where I have been is better than Tybee.
