If you’re gathering a large group, like a family reunion, Grey Gables’ accommodations are perfect. There are two separate apartments, one upstairs and one down. Each has a spacious kitchen and dining area; as you prepare your meals upstairs you’ll think you’re outdoors as the sun streams in through an entire wall of windows. Kitchens are equipped with everything you’ll need to prepare everything from a simple cookout to an elegant full dinner: full-size appliances, new microwave ovens, coffee makers, cookware, dishes, and silverware.
Each apartment provides three bedrooms, two with twin beds and one with a queen-size bed. If you really have a big group, there’s LOTS of space for additional cots or air-beds. There are large living room areas with stylish, comfortable furniture and cable TV service. For your convenience there’s a washer and dryer. The highlight of each apartment is a full-building length, covered, screened porch overlooking Great Sodus Bay and Lake Ontario. The view is fantastic, and it would be a great place for kids to "camp out" for the night. You’ll find just about everything you need within walking distance of Grey Gables. There are gift shops to explore and restaurants offering some of the area’s finest dining and live entertainment outdoors each evening. Other shops will treat you to the best homemade pizzas and subs you’ve ever had, ice cream cones and sundaes, specialty coffees and pastries. A short hop in the car will take you to golf courses and driving ranges, and go-carts and mini-golf for the kids. A five minute drive takes you to farm markets and craft stores that will please the most discerning shopper. Discover the freshest home grown produce, flowers, homemade baked goods, and locally made cheeses. For the craft and gift shopper, there’s a country store in an original one-room schoolhouse that is a "must visit." During July and August, you can walk to Sunday afternoon outdoor concerts at the Sodus Bay Lighthouse Museum, high on the bluff overlooking Lake Ontario. If you enjoy water sports, Grey Gables is the place for you. Sodus Point is home to an outstanding fleet of fishing Charter Boats. Our experienced captains will make sure you land Trophy Lake, Brown, and Rainbow Trout, Salmon and Steelhead. Lake Ontario and Sodus Bay also are home to prize winning Bass, Walleye, and Perch, and your kids will delight to the enormous size of the sunfish they’ll catch off the dock at Grey Gables! You can also take a short walk down the street and rent an aluminum fishing boat or kayak. If you’re bringing your own boat, there is a public DEC launch available on Route 14, and Grey Gables' 110’ dock will more than accommodate your docking needs!
It’s easy to reach Grey Gables; from the east take the Route 104 exit from Route 81 and head west to Route 14, which will take you right into Sodus Point.
