Beautiful Mountain Lodge with Year-round Spectacular Mountain and Sunset Views. This peaceful mountain retreat is only 15 minutes to Brevard where you can stroll the towns quant streets shopping, enjoy an amazing meal at one of the many local restaurants or enjoy a concert and the NC school of music.
Or perhaps you would prefer to drive 20 minutes to either Dupont State Forest for some of the best mountain biking on the east coast or a tour of where the Hunger Games was filmed. Western North Carolina's mountains contain some of the best mountain biking to be found--anywhere. Gravel roads that wind along lazy streams through forested valleys, or trails that climb up steep mountainsides; trails that cross 5,000 foot mountain peaks or singletrack that traverses long, narrow ridgelines--all can be found within the boundaries of the Old North State. Whatever you're looking for, be it a gentle cruise to a beautiful picnic spot, or a rugged descent on technical singletrack, you've chosen a great place to experience it all. (mtbikewnc).
For hiking, Dupont and Pisgah Forest are also nearby; including the Cradle of Forestry, waterfalls and sliding rock (a natural waterslide.)
If you enjoy fly fishing, the Davidson and French Broad Rivers are only 15 minutes from the house. The Davidson is one of the Trout Unlimited Top 100 Trout Streams in America. And Orvis holds their Fly Fishing School in Asheville (40 minutes away). (orvis).
Biltmore Mansion is only 30 minutes away and Greenville SC with it's great music scene and beautiful urban park is just 50 minutes. Truly something for everyone near-by...but just sitting on the porch reading a good book listening to the breeze through the trees is an excellent option as well.
The home is beautiful; I will let the pictures speak for themselves.
The home's approximately 3500 square feet include:
* Large master suite with queen bed, master bath, walk-in closet and long range mountain views.
*Master bath has Jacuzzi tub and two person luxury walk-in shower with rain shower head and body sprays.
* Two other bedrooms with full-size beds and walk-in closets.
* Family Room has fireplace and walk-in closet, and can be used as 4th bedroom using on-site inflatable queen mattresses.
*Great room with 25 ft stacked stone wood-burning fireplace perfect for entertaining or just relaxing
* Three full baths.
* Kitchen with granite countertops, and new high-end appliances including gas stovetop.
* Three fireplaces
* Loft library
* Sauna
* Surround Sound
* All rooms hard-wired for DSL internet, also whole house wireless
* Children's playhouse or artist studio…insulated and fully wired
Outside enjoy three acres with trail and stream or just sit on the huge deck (part of which is screened in with freestanding gas stove).
The house is very spacious and there is ample room for more than 8, you just need to bring your own blow up beds or you can rent beds from firms in town who will deliver and pick up.
Massage services available in home for additional fee.
Babysitting services available in home for additional fee.

We rented the Falling Waters home for Thanksgiving week this year and it was lovely! There was plenty of room for our large family and the home especially worked well for families with kids since there is a large loft and basement entertainment room for them to play in. The outdoor playhouse also kept them busy for hours. We enjoyed walking down the trail to the stream on the property, watching the birds and enjoying the great view. We also loved the toy store downtown and the great little restaurants and shops nearby. The home is very convenient to Brevard for shopping and to the many area parks (Caesar's Head, Flat Rock, Gorges, Dupont and Pisgah). We went hiking every day and came back to enjoy the fireplace and good homemade food that we could prepare in the large kitchen area. Owners were quick to answer questions and readily available. The home felt clean and well kept and we would definitely return again. Brevard is one of our favorite little mountain towns!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, families with young children, sightseeing.

My family of 4 enjoyed this wonderful home Sept. 2012. The owner was so very attentive and helpful. The home was very spacious and perfect for my family. The trail around the property was great and my 5 year old had no difficulties navigating through the woods with us. The view was incredible....I mean REALLY incredible. My 5 year old felt like a story book princess sleeping in the beautiful princess bedroom. The short drive to Brevard was beautiful and the town is so very quaint. I would highly recommend this house. It is a perfect location and the owner is awesome to work with. We enjoyed our stay very much!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, romantic getaway, families with young children, sightseeing.

The owners were extremely helpful and always called me back if I had any questions. Easy option to make payment. This is by far the nicest place I have stayed in during my travels. Huge home which was too much for just my dog and I. Will bring more company next time! Magnificent view and secluded. The drive up is very scenic and easy. My Accord made it up just fine. All pictures are accurate and the place is spotless. Close to DuPont, Brevard and Asheville. Had an amazing time hiking and looking at waterfalls. All the furniture/appliances are modern and in great shape. Kitchen had everything I needed even though I ate out most of the time. Fireplaces everywhere and nice touches with the fountains and sauna. When you consider how many people can stay here in comfort, this place is a bargain. Thank you for letting me experience the mountains for the first time and I will be back again.Recommended for: Age 55+, people with disabilities, pet owners, families with teenagers, girls getaway, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, families with young children, sightseeing.

This is a beautiful home with a gorgeous mountain view from the living areas and the master bedroom. Everything was very clean, and that is important to me. The house is very roomy and would be great for a large family, as there are two living areas. A great place to stay if you want to go fishing, hiking, pottery shopping, exploring Brevard. The owners were very attentive. We would stay here again!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, romantic getaway, families with young children, sightseeing.

We enjoyed a delightful weekend in this rental property—the home has a spectacular view and a charming, clean interior with well-kept grounds. The easy access into Brevard and nearby attractions was a real plus. We were impressed with the helpful attention of the owner—even to the point of checking in with us during our stay to make sure “all was well”. We will definitely stay in this rental again when in this area and will highly recommend it to family and friends. It was a fantastic place for our family of 7 to spend a memorable weekend!Recommended for: Age 55+, girls getaway, adventure seekers, families with young children, sightseeing.

The day after Christmas being out of school 10 days with relatives our family had cabin fever. The VRBO listing was "recent Christmas cancel, your loss is your gain".. we called the owners directly and the home was available. We use VRBO at least 4 times a year and this home was a true surprise. The photos do not do it justice. Beautifully decorated with wonderful details - great applicances, big washer dryer for longer stays, sauna, individual space for reunions, playhouse, hiking trail on property down to creek, plenty of storage if you fly in, wonderful lighting, fireplace. Owner was extremely helpful with questions once we arrived - wireless, satelite TV, etc. Owner had local neighbor turn on heat before we arrived. Wonderful way to decompress from holidays. We will be back very soon!.. Thank you!Recommended for: Age 55+, pet owners, families with teenagers, girls getaway, romantic getaway, families with young children, sightseeing.

Davidson River View on map
Large trout, small flies, and beautiful surroundings are what await the angler who spends the day fishing the Davidson River. The catch and release fly fishing only regulated section of the Davidson is known to many anglers as one of the top fly fishing rivers on the east coast. This is due in part to its excellent population of fairly large trout and it’s regular hatches. http://www.flyfishmagazine.com/html/davidson_river.html

Owner info
Year Purchased: 2006
About the owner: We have both traveled all over the world, but there is nowhere more beautiful or relaxing than Western North Carolina. As a family with two small children we wanted to create a place where parents could feel the relaxation of the most beautiful mountain lodge, but children could live out their fantasies as well. Our family loves the unique combination Brevard/Pisgah Forest offers. We are outdoors people and the girls love the hike to Hooker Falls, but we also enjoy that during the summers there is world class classical music right here in town.... We completely remodeled the home for us, but jobs took us to Pittsburgh so now we get back as often as we can.
Why the Owner Chose Brevard:
We knew we wanted this home for its breath-taking views and huge fireplace...a place to be nestled away in nature...but close to wonderful parks, shopping and grocery stores.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
Amazing views, hiking trail to stream, luxury accommodations, children's wonderland, three fireplaces, views from nearly every room, sauna, Jacuzzi tub, spa shower....
