Sitting on the spacious deck with a private hot tub, and only steps away from the steady flow of the Blue River, where else would you want to be? Only 3 short miles outside of Breckenridge, you really get the "cabin in the woods" feeling everyone is looking for. The two level house is approx. 2500sf. Upstairs you have 4 bedrooms and 2 baths. The second master suite has a Queen bed and private 3/4 bath, additional sitting area w/ Q-futon, TV/VCR. The second bedroom has a Double bed, 3rd with a captains bunk (double on bottom-twin on top), and the 4th bedroom has 2 twins. There is a full bath shared between these bedrooms.
The main/downstairs level has the Master suite (Queen bed), with a private full bath (jetted tub in the bath), and sliding door access to the back yard looking on to the Blue River. Open living/kitchen/dining area, 1/2 bath, and mud room.
The serentity in the summer, laying on a lounge chair, listening to the calming sounds of the flowing river is unsurpassed. Enjoying the hot tub all year round, and on those clear nights, you can test your astrology knowledge with all the stars to gaze at.
This house is great for up to 7 individuals, or families. You have all the conveniences of Breckenridge dining/shopping/night life about 5 minutes away, and then all the comforts of home in a secluded, quiet, private house.
Relaxing in Master Bedroom at the great Cabin in the Woods

Driving into Breckenridge with the holiday lights still illuminated set the mood for a great stay at this VRBO property. Just three miles past downtown Breckenridge heading south, we arrived at a winter wonderland. The setting for this VRBO mountain cabin was wonderful. The location offered gorgeous views; it was so peaceful and serene.
This vacation home was very cozy. I and my family enjoyed the relaxed living area with gas fireplace, TV, eating area and kitchen all together in one great room. The kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed for family meals. I sat in the comfy chair by the fireplace, watching TV and ‘surfing’ my laptop. The wireless high speed Internet had a lot of bandwidth which allowed me to get some work done. The bedrooms were plentiful with comfortable beds and enough bathrooms for everyone in our family. We loved the main-level master bedroom’s Jacuzzi tub. This was our private getaway while upstairs the cubs each had a room of their very own.
One of my favorite activities was the outside hot tub. The soothing warm waters were relaxing after a day of activity around Breckenridge. With expansive open spaces and beautiful trees, the Blue River area was an ideal place for snowshoeing and other winter activities.
This Bear and family would highly recommend the South Breckenridge Blue River area. It’s close to town, yet peaceful and secluded as the Blue River runs directly behind the cabin. We loved our winter holiday stay but any season would be a great time to visit. Summer would be a wonderful time to return for hiking, star gazing and fly fishing. The owner has arranged for Carrie to assist you with your booking as well as anything you need during your stay. As the owner says, staying at Blue River really gives you the ‘cabin in the woods’ feeling.

Hi, We stayed at this beautiful house December 18-21, 2010.. The house has everything you need..The beds were comfortable, more than enough extra bedding and pillows if you needed. The hot tub was AMAZING after skiing and snowmobiling.. The street to the has was well maintained(cleared of snow) everyday.We had 4 families with kids and had plenty of room.. The kids didn't really care where they slept.. The washer/dryer was an added bonus not to have alot of dirty laundry when coming home..The internet worked great. Also the movies and games at the house were fun. We all sat around the table several evenings playing games. Carrie is ABSOLUTELY perfect from booking to asking questions and responding to emails. We were even contacted after leaving when she was notified about some found rings in the hot tub and house.. The honesty is greatly appreciated. The view from the hot tub was beautiful in the winter would love to see what it is like in the spring/summer time. The neighborhood was very quiet but friendly. Thank you for sharing your house...

We stayed in this house for a week this summer. The location is wonderful--less than 15 minutes to Breckenridge, but enough away from town to feel secluded and peaceful. The house sits on a large lot right on the river, with a private hot tub on the back deck. It's very roomy and comfortable inside--we were there with a famliy of 4, but the house could easily accommodate two small families. Carrie was a great resource for activities in Bre!ckenridge and was very responsive when we had questions. Hiking, rafting, shopping, horseback riding, and various kid activities are all easily available nearby. We would definitely stay here again!

My family and I just returned from a one week stay in this wonderful house just outside of Breckenridge. The house and setting were perfect for us and Carrie the owner was really helpful and accomodating. The house is really roomie, wonderfully secluded, and less than 15 minutes from downtown Breck. WE would definately recommend this propoerty to anyone and will likely stay there again when back in CO.
Recommended for:Tourists without a car, sightseeing, age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers.
