  Thank you so much for the use of your lovely home. We truly felt at thome from the moment we walked in. The location was wonderful for our family (all 11) visit, the location was excellent for the wedding at the Oceana. The lovely yard scape to the masterfully designed kitchen and home lay out gave us a pleasurable visit. We entertained 29 guests celebrating Dads 86th birthday and the home was very accomodating. Jim is a wonderful host and we appreciate his attention to the details. The area was wonderful for hiking and sight seeing. There are not enough adjectives to describe this home and host. Once again "Thank you" .

  We rented this beautiful custome home near Half Moon Bay because: - We wanted to be close to the ocean and HMB - We needed at least 4 bedrooms with queen beds (for our tall family members) - We wanted a house that would accommodate a 17 month old, as well - We were celebrating a 60th birthday as a family, and wanted to stay together in one place vs hotel rooms The photos of this place only approximate how absolutely gorgeous this home is. It is also very comfortable. The kitchen is well-stocked if you choose to cook or serve meals in, rather than going out. The owner of the home, Jim, is a most gracious host. Be prepared to thoroughly enjoy your stay at this lovely home. If we have another special family event that calls us back to the ocean, we will definitely be back!

  All in all, this place is truly a gem in HMB, and Jim is the one who makes this gem really shining. We had our intimate wedding at HMB, and stayed there for 2 nights with immediate family and close friends (10 adults). Also we served a lunch buffet reception in the dining room, which easily accommodated 20+ people, and everyone got impressed. I am not good at writing comment, so I will make a list of all the nice features. The house is: 1. Beautiful. You can tell partly from the pictures, which actually didn't fully capture what a nice place it is. Every room is spacious and tastily decorated. 2. Comfortable. Full sets of dinnerware, flatware, cookware, BBQ utensils; well-functioning air conditioner, fireplace, out-door fire pit; plenty supply of towels, tissues, and other necessities. Basically, you feel like being at home. 3. Convenient. There might be other nice places around, but I feel this house is seated at a perfect location. It’s right away from the Miramar beach, but the altitude gives broader view; 5 min drive up north is the pier; and 10 min drive down south is the downtown HMB. It’s in the middle of everything. 4. Operated by Jim, who is: Responsive, hospitable, and very helpful. I got reply of every question, either by e-mail or phone, in less than 10 minutes. We first scheduled a short tour around the house, but that afternoon we arrived a little bit late, Jim waited us with great patience. Then he showed us around, explained to us about everything, and even recommended some nice places to have fun, and then let us be. At the day we checked in, we got white wine as welcome gift! After the wedding, everyone left very happily, too happy that we left some items behind in the house… Jim generously helped us out again. Being first time to rent a vacation house, and in the meanwhile, coordinating one’s own wedding could be exhausting, but Jim helped us to make it really simple, and memorable. We’d like to say THANK YOU here, and we recommend this place definitely.

  We just got back from a fabulous stay at this beautiful home! From the time I made the reservation, up thru the week after we had left the house, the owner, Jim, was attentive and responsive to all my questions, concerns, and details of our stay....the house in itself would have been great enough even without that attention, but Jim made it all the more special. We had a special occasion with our son's marriage in Half Moon Bay, so we had an eclectic group of family members staying with us at the house, from local bay and valley area people, to my mother in law from the midwest, to a niece from Spain...and everyone marveled at how great the house was!!! All the wedding festivities were only 5 minutes away, and the location was perfect. We will carry many happy memories from coffee in the kitchen to dinner in the beautiful dinning room forever (we even snuck in a few Giant play off games between wedding events in the familyroom television!) Thank you Jim...we hope to be back in the future, and will tell any friends about this great property.

  The pictures don't do the house justice, the house was much, much prettier! It was tastefully decorated and more spacious than what I've imagined. The kitchen was huge with professional grade appliances. Jim, the owner, was super nice. We even receive bread & wine as a welcome present. There was plenty of everything. The house was located very close to the beach, nice restaurants, fish market. Overall, a wonderful experience.

  The only reason that I rated it a 5 was that I couldnt go higher! We stayed here for our sons recent wedding. We wanted a place that was big enough for all of our immediate family, 4 sons + spouses and girlfriends, to stay, as well as large enough to entertain family and friends that came in for the wedding. We couldnt have been more pleased with our choice! The owner, Jim, is extremely accommodating and gracious, and the house was set up perfectly for entertaining. I would not hesitate to recommend this house to anyone visiting Half Moon Bay, and we hope to repeat the visit in the near future for a week that is less hectic!

  My family stayed here 2 weeks ago for our weekend wedding in Half Moon Bay. As we live in the Bay Area, we first met with Jim to take a tour of the property. Jim was extremely helpful and has an absolutely gorgeous home. We knew we had to book this immediately! My family loved their stay - the home was spacious and very clean. Jim called us on the day of arrival to make sure everything was okay and left my family a checklist so they knew where to find supplies and what to do upon departure. He supplied towels, toilet paper, utensils, plates, laundry, ironing board, and everything you can think of! We catered Thai from a local restaurant for our rehearsal dinner on Friday evening. The dining area, kitchen and outdoor patio are perfect for hosting dinners. Jim, thank you so much for such a wonderful weekend. We will never forget how special your home was in contributing to our beautiful wedding in Half Moon Bay!

  This property is located in a quaint location with views of the ocean. The location is an ideal spot to travel back and forth, to places like San Francisco, Muir Woods, Sausalito, and other destinations. the hospitality of the owner is magnificent. I highly recommend the residence for mutli-familiy groups traveling together, or even a group of friends.

  We recently planned a family getaway and was looking for a place that could handle 4 couple and three toddlers. After some web reseach we settledon this property. The owner immediately made us feel as guests to his home rather than renters from out of town. The house was clean and comfortable and accommodated all 11 of us. We liked the open lay out and the outside gathering areas. We had a great time exploring the area and just relaxing.

  This house is fabulous and Jim is great. He was there at the house to meet me and my friends/family. He showed us around, made us feel welcome, and then let us be. He was easy to reach, easy to communicate with, and just a wonderful host in general. The house itself is gorgeous. It is clean, spacious, beautiful and feels like a real house where real people live (family pictures on the walls, etc), which they do part of the time! We were very comfortable there. The location was easy to find and made getting around Half Moon Bay easy as well. The views of the ocean were phenomenal. Our friends/family had a great time cooking big dinners there (the two large dining room tables helped) and we loved sitting around the fire pit in the back in the evenings. I would definitely stay here again.
