We stayed a week at the Tarpon Tree house with two kids ages 10 and 12. This cottage is a charming, unique hideaway that will over exceed your expectations. Inside the cottage tim and kate have done a lovely job decorating in a tasteful yet personal way to make you feel at home. The kitchen screened in porch and laundry room are complete with all the things you never think to bring on vacation but wish you had when you got there - like a coffee grinder, beach chairs and coolers, and candles/music for the porch. The outside patio, backyard and dock/canal are spacious, well cared for, and truly private...you feel as if you're on your own island. The location of the cottage is perfectly located between the city pier and the gulf and within walking distance to many shops and restaurants. And lastly, tim and kate were extremely responsive to any questions we had, and even promptly shipped back some items we had left at the cottage! The pictures/description don't do this property justice. Thank you Tim and Kate for allowing us to share your hideaway! we will be back!Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.

The Tarpon Tree House was wonderful! The house was well furnished with very comfortable beds and everything you needed to feel at home. The listing description seemed modest in comparison. We set out on our kayaks right out of the back yard and were in the beautiful bay in minutes. It was great to relax in the large hot tub after a day on the water. The atmosphere of the neighborhood was very friendly and charming. We walked a short distance to restaurants and live entertainment. The owner's were very accomodating and all promises were fulfilled. We were very impressed with our whole stay. Next time we will definitely plan to stay longer. I would definitely recommend this property to my friends and family!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

We absolutly loved the Tarpon Tree House! The house was spotless, and decorated perfectly. Located in a quiet neighborhood close to both gulf beaches and the bay. We rode our bikes or walked to almost any where we needed to go! The back yard is so private and you can fish from the the dock, we caught fish each day we were there! The hot tub was in excellent condition and so nice at the end of the day to relax in. The bed rooms were more spacious than we had anticipated, just a bonus! We can't wait to vist again! We have vacationed 6 times this last year, and our stay at the Tarpon Tree House was our favorite out of all of them. A great place to reconnect with your loved ones!Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.
Owner response: Thank you Alicia, So glad you had a great time. It's a pleasure having wonderful, responsible guests like you. We appreciate you leaving the cottage so clean. We hope you come back again. Thanks again, Kate and Tim
