Getting a lucky break!

Holiday break and booking late usually gets you adequate accommodations at best. This time we got lucky with a superb place to call home for a few days. Between Christmas and New years we had relatives visit us in Oregon. Our plans called for travel to Seattle but Gig Harbor was listed on everyone's itinerary as a must. Our large group found everything to our liking. Plenty of room for late night conversations, two nice flat screens to facilitate some football rivalry, great coffee maker with no fuss, no clean up, windows that let you see a large part of the harbor and enjoyable food establishments close by. We all agreed that things couldn't have been better, being right on the water, a safe place to park the car and everything within walking distance. Oh, and a nice washer/dryer for keeping up on your laundry. Best wishes to the owners for being so helpful for our stay.

The Gig Harbor Guest House is a fantastic vacation destination. My sister and I (both adults) took our parents here for two nights to celebrate their recent 60th birthdays. While we were worried from the pictures that the house would be too small, we were overjoyed to discover that there was plenty of room for all of us to spread out. The kitchen is well-stocked, and we had a great time cooking in it. And the dining room table was plenty big for our meals and for playing board games. The beds were comfortable, and the view was excellent - truly, a memorable vacation for all of us! * We had an amazing Happy Hour / lite dinner at Brix 25, which is only a short walk from the Gig Harbor Guest House into town. Give it a try - you won't be disappointed!

The Gig Harbor Guest House was a wonderful experience for us. It is right in the middle of everything that Gig Harbor has to offer and yet is quiet, private, and a wonderful get-a-way. We loved the space and ability to stretch out and actually feel at home. The owner keeps the property in excellent condition, clean and well stocked with soft, fluffy towels and an extraordinary selection of k-cup coffee and teas. Staying at this property convinced us that this is the best way to vacation. Beats even a suite in a terrific hotel! While there wasn't daily "maid service" every detail was covered to make the stay exceptional. The owner communicated right away, provided clear and complete instructions and took care of the payment in the most professional way before our trip. When we arrived at the property, there were brochures, a complete description of how to use every convenience provided and how to take best advantage of our stay. We will definitely stay here again when visiting Gig Harbor.

My husband and I just enjoyed three nights at the Gig Harbor Guest House. The location was wonderful and we loved waking to the view of the harbor. Absolutely everything we needed was provided and the house was sparkling. There were several great restaurants within walking distance or a short drive and groceries were readily available. Our only complaint was that it was over far too quickly. Can't wait to return for a longer stay!

This was a very relaxing and beautiful vacation for us. The owners have a beautiful house but also thought of many ways to make their guests feel special....from the welcome basket full of goodies to the delicious coffee provided. You are right in the middle of Gig Harbor with great restaurants, shops & sights within easy walking distance (and everyone here walks!) but you can sit on the patio overlooking the harbor and feel like you are a million miles away from everyone. We intend to go back many times in the future.

The Gig Harbor guest house was absolutely lovely! It has everything you need or may have forgotten to pack. The view is stunning. My daughter and I knew spring break weather would be cool and rainy, but we lucked out and had some sunshine! We loved watching the kayakers practicing out on the water. We would love to return in the summer to see all the yacht action. Thank you for a great time.

My wife & I celebrated our anniversary here and couldn't have been more pleased. The location is excellent, with a beautiful view and nice shops & restaurants within easy walking distance. The property is very clean, comfortable and well maintained. The owner has obviously put some thought into making things comfortable for guests. We would definitely recommend this property to friends and we would not hesitate to return.

From the road, you can't really tell what a gem this place is. The owners live in town but you get complete privacy. They obviously take great care of the place and every amenity was considered. They have stocked up the cleaning supplies, which makes taking care of the the home easy!. There was supplies, in case we forgot our shampoo or soap and lots of fluffy towels, tea towels and even a nice supply of Kruger coffees (for the single cup brewing machine). There's a good assortment of kitchen dishes, pots and pans and a little collection spices. The bed is large and comfortable and there are extra linens close by. There are little storage bins and good size decorative poxes which makes putting your stuff away easy. There are good size closets and you won't run out of storage. The town is VERY walkable. There's a pharmacy, bakery, grocery store, post office, boutiques and many restaurants within walking distance. 5 minutes by car takes up up the hill by the highway to a large commercial area that will take care of any other shopping requirements. Lastly, the harbor. It's just perfect. You get to stare out at it with your morning coffee. You wont' get tired of looking at that beautiful view. We hope to be back soon.

Thank you for helping to make our Christmas & New Year such a special one. The house is really a gem with its incredible view of the harbor. We loved watching the boats go by, both at night with their seasonal lights & during the day with the bright white hulls against the dark bay.... The history of this little spot on the harbour really enchanted us. The family momentos & photos are charming. We enjoyed the lovely basket with holiday treats and the Zoolight tix! The bubbly was perfect for New Year & the snowmen made the holiday bright. Looking forward to staying with you again! Happy New Year!
