Hiawassee cabin description
This upscale cabin is located 2 miles east of Hiawassee on Lake Chatuge. We are directly on the right as you turn onto Piercy Hughes Rd/288 from 76. We are close to the road of 76/288 but we have lots of shrubs/trees and you will be spending all your time behind the house. There is an easy sloping ground to the lake. The walking area is easy for anyone to travel. This area is great for fishing and Ms. Natalie has her own private boat dock available for your use. Ms. Natalie has neighbors which include 2 other cabins which are Big Nate and the Lil White House. There is plenty of privacy with each cabin. There is a 15 ft trampoline with a water park which consists of a launch and large slide for the kids. Adults have to be present at all times and life jackets worn by all.
This cabin is furnished with rustic furniture. It has 4 bedrooms with gas fireplaces in three of the four bedrooms. Each bedroom is spacious with walk in closets. There are 2 king beds and 2 queen beds. Two sofas that make a queen bed are in the living room. A jet tub is upstairs. You'll love this place! A kitchenette is downstairs and a full kitchen upstairs. There is also a foosball table and pool table.

I have ordered a new mat, springs and ladder for the trampooline. It will be in much better shape on the next visit. I didn't know about the TVs and cable and will be looking into that. I will also purchase more DVD's. I have a notebook for suggestions. Not much I can do about the noise. Shirley Youngblood

PERFECT for 2 family vacation
PERFECT for 2 family vacation
We were 2 families traveling together with a total of 4 boys (ages 7, 7, 4, 4). It was a perfect cabin for 2 families. There was enough seperation between the floors that you could get away from the chaos of 4 boys... whether it was out on the porches, the dock, or running down the hill. There are 2 washers & 2 dryers to accomodate 2 families. No one had to wait for a washer. The only issue was the noise we could hear from the highway. It is right off the highway, literally. We tried pretending that it didn't exist, but it was hard when the house was quiet and everyone was sleeping, except truck drivers speeding &/or stopping on the highway. Sidenote- the water trampoline needs a few repairs, but not enough to diminish the fun. The lake was gorgeous and the mountain view from the kitchen was spectacular. We spent time sightseeing Brasstown Bald, Tubing in Helen, antiquing in Blue Ridge, etc... But we also were able to spend a great amount of time in the cabin, swimming the lake, canoeing on the lake or playing on the water trampoline! If I could add something for this cabin, it would be cable for all the tvs and dvd players for ALL the tvs. Currently - only the 2 rooms downstairs have dvd players and there was only cable on the living room tvs. The tvs on the main floor and loft have just 4 channels. There is wi-fi available only out on the porch, luckily we brought our own hotspot. Grocery store was about 3 miles away... not bad at all! We would return to this cabin.

Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, families with young children, adventure seekers.
We arrived to find a beautiful, clean house awaiting us. We were a family of nine and everyone was pleased with their accommodations. The lake water was clear and so relaxing to be in. The trampoline was fun for young and old (60+). The owner was very helpful and reassuring when we spoke. The grocery store is nearby, so that made cooking in the full kitchen easy. We went white water rafting and fishing. We should have stayed longer, because we ran out of time for the winery, party boat rental, and hiking. Guess we'll have to go back!
