Napili Point Unit C21 was purchased over twelve years ago as the best location to enjoy Maui's splendid weather and the beautiful beaches nearby. The location has the best of both the windward side of Maui with its periodic showers disappearing in early morning, and the drier side which has abundant sunshine. This produces a wonderful green lush landscape with all kinds of beautiful flowers and trees in abundance. Easy access to great snorkeling, with at least ten to twenty resident sea turtles in the bay in front, presents a wondrous opportunity for children (of any age!)to experience the amazing underwater world! Nearby, within a few minute's walk, is one of our favorite sand beaches at Napili Bay which provides great snorkeling and during the winter season, body surfing, boogie boarding, and skim boarding are great fun.
The quietness of Napili Point Resort is also one of its important qualities. Napili Point attracts visitors who may enjoy a comfortable visit with as much social contact as they desire. Children are always welcome especially during the summer vacation period. All ages enjoy the two well maintained pools on the property as well as the many ocean activities.
Unit C-21 has recently been upgraded with new carpets and new kitchen appliances with granite countertops. The bath vanities have not been upgraded but they are on our list to do next year, however, they are perfectly adequate. C-21 is fully furnished with a supply of various basic cooking needs (salt and pepper, spices, plastic bags, wraps, sugar, creamer etc.) and laundry items. Beach towels are provided. There are presently four bogie boards, some mats, a cooler, and a couple of masks and snorkels available, however, these items tend to come and go with use.
We are not connected in any way with the Napili Point rental program through the on-site office since we are renting and managing our unit as an individual owner. This guarantees our unit for your stay and, since we desire to be competitive, we offer it at a cost savings over the official office rates. Since we live on Maui, we can provide timely attention to any concerns you may have during your stay.
Since we are not connected with the Napili Point rental program, the only services available to our guests from the office are: Free Internet and Free local phone calls; however you must activate the phone with a $50 deposit at the office.
Smoking is not permitted either in the unit or within twenty feet of any building (Hawaii State Law): however, smoking is permitted in designated areas.
We know you will be very pleased with your vacation here in C21 at Napili Point Resort and will want to return.
Reservation Policy
All reservations for Napili Point C-21 must be made through the owners, David and Ellen Ernisse via email or telephone. Please note that requested dates will only be confirmed after a three-day deposit plus damage deposit is received. Once the deposit is received, the requested dates will be blocked on the “Availability Calendar” within 24 hours.
Reservation Procedure
By way of email or telephone, send a request for a reservation listing the following information:
1. Name and address of responsible party.
2. Arrival and departure dates
3. Number of guests (maximum of 6).
We will respond promptly with availability confirmation for the desired stay. To complete the reservation you must send:
1. A three-night deposit,
2. A damage deposit of $200, fully refundable, if unit is left in good condition (normal wear and tear is expected) and,
3. A signed copy of the Rental Agreement (sent to you via email or fax).
All payments may be made with a personal or bank check in US funds. We do accept credit cards through PayPal with an additional 3% service charge.
4. An email or phone call indicating that the above have been mailed to us, so that we may tentatively hold your desired dates until we receive your deposits.
All of the above should be received by us within 7 days of availability confirmation. This will confirm and hold your reservation until your final payment is due. If these steps are not completed, the reservation will be automatically cancelled. Deposits received after the 7 day period will be returned if the unit has been subsequently rebooked.
Full reservation payment is due 30 days prior to arrival. Failure to send payment in full will result in cancellation of your reservation and forfeiture of your deposit.
Reservations made within 30 days of arrival require full payment.
Cancellation Policy
All cancellations must be received by email or in writing. The email date stamp or carrier post mark determines the date of cancellation. Cancellations are subject to the following fees:
1. Cancellations after receipt of deposits and more than 90 days before the scheduled arrival date are subject to a $200 service charge. The initial deposits less the $200 will be returned.
2. Cancellations within 90 to 60 days of arrival date are subject to a service charge equal to half of the three-day deposit. The remainder of the deposits will be returned.
3. Cancellations within 59 to 31 days of the scheduled arrival date are subject to a service charge equal to a full three-day deposit. The damage deposit will be returned.
4. Cancellations within 30 days will result in forfeiture of all payments made except that the damage deposit will be returned. If we are able to rebook any portion of your cancelled reservation, we will refund the net portion received less a $200 service charge.
5. PayPal fees (3-3.9%) will not be refunded.

Just got back from awesome week-long stay! David & Ellen's place far exceeded our expectations - close to beach/cove with wonderful ocean views, great layout, easy to access, and everythihng we could need including beach chairs, boogie boards, and some snorkel gear. The area is less commercial than rest of west Maui, which makes it nice. We liked the maui brewing company (about 1 miles south), Honolua Beach (~mile marker 33), and the Molokini snorkel trip on Lani Kai boat (booked thru Snorkel Bob's). Volcano trip is 2 1/2 hours to top, and well worth hiking into crater if weather is clear!! Watch out for the return air checkin and security though - allow lots of extra time since they screen everything for USDA/foods and the TSA security line can be an hour!! We had probably the best vacation ever here in Maui while staying at the condo. David and Ellen where very easy to deal with and are very accommodating. The condo is absolutely beautiful and the view is breathtaking. The condo has everything plus more. It is in a outstanding location with snorkelling with the turtles (along with eels, octopus, and many fish) a few steps away to the beautiful Napilli beach just 5 minutes away. We had a blast whale watching with Trilogy (got with in touching distance of 3 humpbacks), did the doors off heli tour of west maui ( Alix air), and with a party of 3 it was cheaper to charter the whole helicopter!! We now see why maui has such great reviews, and we are coming back for sure. My wife and I have a 7 yo daughter and she really enjoyed the whole experience. The condo was very quiet and we felt so safe traveling anywhere in maui. Thank you David and Ellen for a great experience, Aloha to all!Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

The condo was fabulous! We loved sitting on the lanai watching the sea turtles frolick in the bay. The condo is well appointed. We couldn't have been happier! The only things that kept me from giving an excellent rating were the lack of grilling tools and the grills themselves onsite. Very well-maintained condo, kitchen has all you need to cook, beds good, lanai with beautiful views of cove, ocean, Lanai and part of Molokai. Sea turtles abound in the cove where snorkeling is good. Not such easy access for people with bad knees. TVs in the unit are old monsters. I brought connectors, thinking we could watch Netflix streaming and our DirecTv, but no go. Wifi enabled. We did find access to good snorkeling. We definitely plan to return.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

We purchased grilling tools immediately after your departure and placed a set in both our units (C21 and C18) for future guests. We have also added two flat screen televisions in C21 - for a total of three televisions! My three friends and I arrived on Halloween at this beautiful Napili Point condo. Everything was just as the photos show . . . great view of the bay and the sea turtles, lovely condo with all the amenities (including beach chairs, umbrella) and a kitchen well-stocked with necessities and all the dishes and cookware we needed. All in all, an excellent choice! The hosts were gracious and generous and we didn't lack for a thing. We would all go back every year to stay at this wonderful condo!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

It is rare to walk into a vacation rental and feel instantly comfortable. But that was the case with C-31 at Napili Point. We stayed for a week, and it was a top 5 for us in our vacation experiences. Comforts are important to us and Ellen was so helpful and responsive - there when we needed her, but not intrusive in any way. The kitchen was so well stocked that we really didn't need to buy anything other than our daily groceries. Things like zip lock bags, coffee filters, laundry detergent, trash bags, even a new sponge still in the wrapper were provided. There were some items left in the fridge by previous tenants, which we didn't use. Personally, I would have preferred that the fridge be empty, but I just moved those things to the bottom shelf and ignored them. The first two days were very hot, humid and little breeze. The lanai faces south west and it did get quite warm in the condo. But once the weather broke, it was wonderful to have the slider open and the breeze and sound of the surf coming in. We absolutely loved it there and would definitely go back, but stay longer next time.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

We stayed at 21C Napili Point for 5 days and loved it from the moment we opened the door. Stunning view from the property and being able to just walk down to the bay and snorkel with the turtles is simply wonderful. The property is well equipped and it's great to rent somewhere where the owners leave useful condiments and bit and pieces for cooking rather than an empty kitchen.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children.

We have vacationed at Napili Point for over twenty years and this is the first time we rented directly from the owners. The best testimonial is that we have already rented both of their units for next year. The view is beautiful and most nights we stayed in, ate our dinner on the balcony and watched the sunset. The kitchen is updated and so well stocked that we eliminated a lot of our items from our shopping list. Ellen and David were great to work with and any questions were answered promptly. If you are looking for a vacation in a quiet area, the best snorkeling right out in front of you, a view of the ocean and sea turtles, a quick walk to a spectacular sandy beach, then you will not be disappointedRecommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

We are a family of 4 (8 and 5 year old children) and this was a PERFECT place. The description and pictures are accurate, and the place was very clean. The owners are great and very responsive. THe location is amazing. The bay there is very quiet (better than Kapalua or Kanapaali) and there are a ton of turtles in there--literally can see 5 at a time from the deck. There are great places to BBQ and the pools are nice and warm. The grounds are great, and there is a beach literally a 5 minute walk or 12 minute swim to the north. THe place is well stocked and is very comfortable. Perfect sized for a family of 4, but I suspect 5-6 would be fine too with the pull out couch. There is no air conditioning but the breezes were better than any A/C and made it feel very tropical without being hot. We will definitely be coming backRecommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children.

About the owner: David and Ellen Ernisse have lived on Maui for over 26 years with the exception of a seven-year adventure sailing around the world with our two sons. In the accompanying picture surrounding us are: our two sons, our daughter and her husband, and our two grandsons. The picture was taken on the lanai of C-21.
Why the Owner Chose Napili:
David and Ellen Ernisse purchased Napili Point Unit C-21 and C-18 over twelve years ago. After living at Napili Point for over four years, we have just moved into a new home about 25 minutes away. We will begin renting C18 starting in June of this year. If you find no availability for C21, please give us a call and C18 could be available. Needless to say, we loved living at Napili Point and we consider this location to be one of the very best with its views, ocean access, and ambience of nice people. Over the years, we have lived in Kihei, Wailea, and Makena on Maui but consider Napili Point to be our favorite!
The Unique Benefits at this Condo:
We enjoy the views of, and the proximity to, the ocean which remind us of our sailing adventure around the world. The changes of weather, the sunsets, and the protected location of the unit's lanai are some of our favorite benefits of staying at Napili Point. We enjoy world class surfing during the winter season in front of the Resort as well as watching our winter visitors, the Humpback Whale. For those interested in activities away from Napili Point, it would take a year to visit all the beautiful beaches and mountain areas, let alone play on all the exceptional golf courses! One cannot find a better place on Earth!
