AWESOME LOCATION!

I booked this location for my colleagues. They came back with rave reviews. Better than hotel. Very clean!! The home owner was an absolute pleasure to work with. She accommodated all of our needs. We had some parcels being shipped there before our arrival. She accepted the parcels and kept them in safe keeping until our arrival. Anyone visiting Boston, this is definitely the place to stay. You will not be disappointed!!

4 adults and 1 small child for 11 nights, plus another adult for 3 nights fitted this property perfectly which is located in a residential district. It was delightfully spacious, clean and tidy with all the facilities described - the dishwasher and clothes washing/drying machines being particularly appreciated. Photos on the website do justice to the property but it feels more spacious in reality. Elaine is wonderful, friendly and helpful, and very approachable, but not at all intrusive. We would recommend this property without hesitation. Its location is ideal for exploring Boston - bus stop is a couple of minutes away, which also links to trains - the transport system is very easy and cheap to use once you get the hang of Charlie Tickets or buy a CharlieCard. Supermarkets are within easy walking distance. There are any number of food delivery services nearby providing pizzas, burgers, fish & chips etc - phone and they deliver - very useful on the day of arrival - menus etc are in the house. Besides Boston centre, there is also Arnold's Aboretum about 10-15 mins walk away - well worth visiting on a good day. We also visited Plymouth to the south and North shore (for a beach) and Old Sturbridge village (an hour's drive west) which would be especially good with children, but was great for us adults as well. Overall, we had a most enjoyable time, slept well, ate well, exercised well. Thank you, Elaine.
Owner response:It's just so great to get a review like this - these folks were friendly, charming and happy to be together as a family. It's great to know that our home suited them so very well while they visited our city. Yeah!

We had a great time in Boston largely due to a very convenient and nice place to stay. The house was clean and tidy with just the necessary conveniences/appliances to be comfortable. 3 great bedrooms with queen size beds and one pull-out sofa bed. The sofa bed was not comfortable, however. The neighborhood is beautiful with Whole Foods within easy walking distance. Great restaurants nearby. At night, there are a lot of voices that can be heard simply because the windows are not double-paned.
Owner response:It's always good to know that people enjoyed staying here. This was the first I'd been told that the sofa bed wasn't comfortable and I'm glad to know! Though sofa beds are notoriously not comfortable, I can now get a mattress topper that will add to the comfort. Our neighborhood is residential but still part of city living. We hope the convenience to shops, restaurants, transportation out weigh the sounds of city living.

Just returned from spending 3 nights in this comfortable 3 bedroom house. Perfect fit for 4 adults and 3 teenagers. 10 minute walk to the Stony Brook T stop on the orange line and 3 minute walk to bus #39 stop. Kitchen well equipped, house clean and comfortable. Five minute walk to Whole Foods Market. Only slight negative is that there is only one bathroom. Worked for us. Would definitely stay here again if in the Boston area. Owner responsive and helpful throughout rental process.
Owner response:Yeah! Another happy guest!

Thank you so much for a wonderful stay. The apartment is awesome - perfect for our family of four. Our little girls (ages 4 and 7) were very comfortable in this family-friendly apartment. We hope to make it our regular home-away-from-home whenever we visit our family in Boston.

This was a charming place, in a quiet neighborhood away from the hustle and bustle of Boston. The beds were comfortable, the house was spotless, the backyard was cozy. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a home away from home in Boston.
Owner response:It's so great to know that someone was comfortable when they stayed here - and that it enhanced their visit to Boston!

Great Place for a Sisters Weekend
Guest: Tammy R.

My sisters and I stayed for a long weekend at this house and it did not disappoint us. It presents as advertised: tastefully decorated, comfortable, and located in a safe neighborhood. The homes on the street are charming and well maintained. We do not usually rent a car when we travel, so being close to public transportation was a big plus. Between the bus that stopped at the end of the street, and the subway, which was a short walk further down, it was easy to get around town. The location of the house made it simple for us to immediately pick up the few essentials we chose not to pack, as a CVS sits on the corner of street and there is a supermarket about a half mile away. Elaine was professional and helpful, and I would recommend this rental to anyone looking for a comfortable place to relax after a long day of sight-seeing in Boston.
Owner response:These sisters seemed to have had a great time on their visit to Boston. It's a special pleasure to know that what I intended and focused on as I put together the rental, is what people are actually taking from it. And to add to the ease and comfort, a new Whole Foods is opening this fall - just 2 blocks away. I'm as excited about that for myself as I am for my guests. I'm fortunate to live in a unique community within a great city and it's so much fun to share that with visitors.

The house is very well maintained, excellently laid out and very comfortable. The area is quiet and comfortable. Lots of parking for renters. Jamaica Plain is a cool part of town, and there is so much to do within walking distance. Public transportation was easy to use. We enjoyed our stay at Elaine's home, and I highly recommend it to anyone visiting the Boston area.
Owner response:It's always such an incredible pleasure to know someone enjoyed their stay.

This was perfect for our recent family vacation in Boston. The 6 adult members of my family were comfortable and made ourselves right at home. The home was close to most everything we wanted including connections to the T. From there were were able to walk all over the city and see the sights all day. Then come back to the house in the evening and relax. It's a beautiful home and Elaine has done a wonderful job of setting it up for visitors.
