The Foley house was very comfortable and cozy for both us and our dog. The dog bed, tennis balls, treats, and food bowls were so nice and thoughtful. There's also a really nice backyard, which our dog also loved. At first, we were a little worried about the gas heater/fireplace in the middle of the living room, but it worked like a charm. It got pretty cold at night, but we were always warm and cozy inside. We had a wonderful time staying here, and would definitely recommend the Foley House.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, pet owners, sightseeing.

We took this trip with our Golden and two labs. One of the labs Sage is 13 and we wanted rotate her to the lake where her arthritic body could float in water. We booked the Foley house, and it was absolutely perfect. The house offered and provided above and beyond. The back yard fas fenced in and gave us the freedom of leaving the dogs secure. The home is warm, comfortable and inviting. Thank you Jeff and Cindy. You made it possible for us to afford taking our best friends, Sage, Aspen and Star. We had a relaxing, wonderful couple days in Leadville.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, pet owners, sightseeing.

My family stayed at the Foley House for a long weekend and really enjoyed the space: kitchen, hot tub, back garden were all enjoyed and appreciated. It was great to be able to walk into town for a coffee or get to the mineral belt trail. The inside is really comfortable and accommodating - it has everything you may need for a week long stay.Recommended for: Families with young children, tourists without a car, pet owners, sightseeing.

We had the perfect weekend in such a quiet relaxing place. We truly enjoyed all the house had to offer. We can not wait to go back and were already talking about it when we left. The hot tub was the perfect ending to every day! There was not one thing I would change about this place, the decorations and extras make it feel like home! This house is a hidden gem. I came in town for the Leadville Marathon and it had everything my mom, our two dogs, and I needed. From a hot tub with a view to tennis balls for the dogs. It is in the perfect location in regards to the town and in regards to the surrounding area. Turquoises Lake, Twin Lakes, and Mt. Elbert all within 30 mins! Quiet, cozy, and clean.... Just what you would imagine a little cabin in the mountains to be like. Thanks Foley House for making our trip perfect!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with young children, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

I'm going to keep on adding to the five-star reviews because Foley House really is perfect! It was comfortable, spacious, meticulously clean, beautifully decorated and well-stocked. The owners have provided everything you could possibly need, with extra special little touches like dog treats. It was so peaceful and quiet, yet still close to everything (a two-minute walk to downtown, and a short drive to Turquoise Lake). The fenced-in backyard is especially nice if you have a dog. Staying at the Foley House was a highlight of our trip to the Leadville area. The location is within walking distance of anything you'd want to see in town. This was a great home to stay in, in leadville. The location is perfect for access to downtown. The owner has left lots of helpful hints of places to walk the dog, and get to some trails! Beds were very comfortable, home was extremely clean, and the hot tub & backyard area were awesome. Just can't say enough great things about the place. Last summer we stayed at a local hotel, that was not much less cost, but a world of difference in comfort, cleanliness, and space, and well worth the minimal extra expense! I would deffinately stay again!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Can't say enough good things about the Foley House -- clean, pet-friendly yard, and just downright charming. The house is great for a longer stay as the kitchen is well-equipped and there is a Weber grill that I used quite often. Also a brilliant location to walk to town for dining (I recommend Tennessee Pass Cafe) or shopping. Then of course Leadville is a great outdoor playground -- we biked the Mineral Trail and the singletrack around Buena Vista, hiked the nearby 14ers, played golf at Mt Massive GC and Copper Mtn GC (only a 30-min drive). We are planning to come back next year!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, pet owners, sightseeing.

We had a great time at Foley House. The private back yard allowed our dogs a nice safe area to play. The hot tub was great and very relaxing after busy days playing on the mountains. The kitchen was perfect for cooking anything you want with a full size refrigerator. All in all this was one of the best rentals for the price we have encountered. The location of the house was perfect! The yard turned out to be a very nice place to relax, have an adult beverage and watch the sunset after a long day of jeeping, hiking and mushroom hunting. I can't say enough about the Foley House! This place was absolutely perfect! First of all it was very clean, had everything we needed, and is in a great location (easy walk to downtown). My wife and I (and our little dog), along with our good friends and their 3 month old, came to Leadville July 16, 17, & 18 for the Silver Rush 50 mile trail run. The house was the perfect size for all of us and in the perfect spot for our wives crewing the race (convenient location to race start/finish and aid stations). the backyard (and hot tub) were great to have as well... we spent tons of time enjoying the back porch. I would definitely recommend this house for a small group/family getaway! Clean, up to date, nicely decorated, well stocked, and great location. We didn't want to leave!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Photos do not do justice to this well decorated, comfortable home away from home. There are great views from the house, and it is very close to downtown leadville. The property is very clean and is defini tely well taken care of. The owner is very nice and has helpful information about the surrounding area. Mountain high pies (pizza) was one of our favorites and is within walking distance. We would highly recommend staying in this home if you plan on visiting the area of leadville.Recommended for: Age 55+, pet owners, sightseeing.

This is a wonderful house, completely redone and beautiful.... our dog settled right into the dog bed there, the fence is tight enough for a dog the size of a mouse... All amenities, comfortable queen beds and a nice den if you must set up a computer for work etc. We would definitely rent this home again.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

If you're bringing a dog you'll be pleasantly surprised how he/she enjoys home away from home. If you don't have a pet you'll still enjoy as they ask us to cover the furniture if the pets will be getting up on it. We stayed in June and had lovely weather. All the other reviews are right on! We were five adults, a baby and a dog and were all quite comfortable. There was room in the front bedroom which was further removed from the living area for a pacnplay. Wouldn't have minded having some of their towels at home. Hot tub and back yard were enjoyed and the caretakers across the street were very nice as well.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, people with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We had a wonderful week's stay at this lovely home, just 2 blocks from the main street. How special to have a pet-friendly place so well stocked and thought out. The kitchen was great with everything you could want. The gas fireplace in the living room provided toasty warmth while we read or watched TV. Our bed was super comfy, and our pooch loved the fenced grassy backyard. Our family, friends and 2 dogs stayed at Foley House during Christmas vacation. We were comfortable, toasty and cooked easily for 6 people. We skied downhill and cross country, snow shoed, ice skated and sledded- the whole nine yards. We ate out in town one night.
