This condo is excellent in every way! Location Location Location! Not to mention the interior, just as the pictures show - it was warm and inviting (the couch isn't real comfortable), but really - how much time are you going to spend inside?. The Kihei Akahi complex is nice, clean and quiet. Daniel's condo has a great ocean view from the lanai. Just steps from one of the 2 swimming pools, and a few more steps to Kam 2 beach! Other than the swap meet on Saturday and a Costco run,I didn't really need to rent a car.... unless of course you want to see more of the island, would be the only reason to do so. Daniel was a pleasure to work with too!

Fabulous Kihei Condo

This was my 10th visit to Maui and my 3rd stay at the Kihei Akahi. Daniel's place is one of the nicest condo's in the building, just newly renovated. Everything was very clean, nice fluffy towels, comfy bed, lots of kitchen amenities, beach gear, wireless wi-fi and the view was fabulous. We enjoyed the close proximity to one of the best beaches in Maui right across the street as well as walking distance to the many restaurants & shops. The complex is very well maintained and quiet. Daniel was excellent to deal with and reliable (his cleaning lady Leeann was really nice as well). I would highly recommend Daniel's condo and look forward to our next stay. Attractions we would recommend are biking down Haleakala after watching the sunrise (great experience!), Big Beach (Makena) - one of the most beautiful beaches in the world, snorkeling at the many well known spots, Lahaina for shopping & great restaurants, road to Hana - leave early, take your time, take lots of pictures, must sees - bamboo forest, seven sacred pools and the drive home on the back road. Mahalo!

Thank you so much Daniel, the place was perfect. We came to Maui in May and stayed at a hotel, this time around we stayed at your condo and it was way better. It felt like home, we had everything we needed within a 2 minute walk (ie food + beer). The condo was stocked with everything else.. It made our vacation so easy and that much more enjoyable. The beach is a 1 minute walk away and we spent most of our mornings there and surfed Cove Park in the afternoons. I searched and searched for the perfect condo and this is it. We will be coming back 100%. We had freinds staying in other condos in these buildings, and some around town so we saw many of them and still think yours was the best. Thanks again for being so accommodating! Hope to be back as soon as possible. btw the sunset view from the condo is A++

Wonderful Summer Vacation

This condo is in the best part of Kihei, just a walk across the street to the most awesome beaches (Kamaole I, II, III.) Daniel has provided great beach chairs, mats, and towels, boogie boards, a cooler, and even some toys for younger or young at heart guests. When the wind kicked up at the beach we spent time at one of the 2 pools. The unit is just as the pictures show. Kitchen stocked very nicely for cooking and eating. Plenty of towels and a washer and dryer in the unit is great. Bag of laundry soap provided at check-in a nice touch. Wireless wi-fi was installed while we were there, love to sit on the lanai and be able to use my wireless devices. Condo is close to several places to eat within walking distance. Fred's mexican place right next door is very good. We mostly ate at the condo. One of my favorite things to do is to watch the turltes at the beach. They are facinating to just sit and watch in the water at one of the rocky areas at either end of the beach. You can also snorkle to get a closer look at them and beautiful fish in the same area. We also saw some stingrays in the water. Drive up to Haleakala was full of beautiful views, highly reccomend doing that drive. We watched the sunset on the way down. If you like to walk on the beach this is a great area. You can walk from beach to beach over paths at each end and walk a longgggg way on nice flat sandy beaches. Daniel was sure to let us know we could contact him if we needed anything while we were there. Had a wonderful time and we were sad to leave.

I would highly recommend this property, I've been going to Hawaii for years and this is one of the best condo units I've stayed in and is afforable for a family traveling on budget like my family. The unit is very nicely furnished, sleeps 4 comfortably and has a great oceanview . The unit is 1 block from one of the best beaches in Kihei, Maui the unit comes fully outfitted with all the beach and pool items needed including chairs, umbrella and beach mats and lots of towels, the pool area is great and has a two great grills as well. The unit comes with a full kitchen with lots of dishes and pans for those who don't want to dine out every night, and I almost fortgot a washer and dryer in the unit as well with soap provided at the office front desk can you beat that. My family had a great time and we plan on coming back again and again on are trip to Hawaii I highly recommend this unit. Aloha Frank

My husband and I rented this unit from May 8th to May 22nd for my awesome wedding photographers. We had a chance to check out their unit during their stay and they absolutely loved this condo! It was well equipped with kitchen supplies, washer, dryer, and even boogie boards. I can't say enough about how great the location is, the beach is right across the street, the shops and restaurants are a walk away. They were so happy with the unit and we'll definitely be staying here again. Mahalo Daniel for making my wedding photographers/family members stay such a wonderful one! The condo is fantastic with its location and vacation-type feeling after Daniel's interior decorating spree! The one minute walk to the beach, Fred's and 808 Bistro was soooo tiring it encourages further "hydration!" While the condo and location are great, Daniel's ability to deliver all the small details to make your holiday virtually stress-free was incredible. Its like staying at a 5 star hotel and having a travel agent who bends over backwards for you to ensure your stay is memorable. Thanks, Daniel...we will call again!!

We stayed for 15 days in early March. The condo was located in the very best part of Kihei - across from the best beach for tanning, swimming, snorkelling (biggest fish and we saw turtles) and boogie boarding. Close to many restaurants - Cafe O'lei, Fred's, Moose's and Bistro 808. Close to shopping, incredible cinnamon buns and ice cream. The condo was well situated for an unobstructed view of the ocean and sunsets while it was just a short walk to the pool and barbeques. We had a very comfortable and well appointed condo with a well stocked kitchen (utensils, pots and pans, etc.) and updated decor. Our owner, Daniel, had all the beach amenities you would need from beach chairs, beach towels, beach umbrellas and pool noodles. Before we arrived Daniel sent us valuable information about the condo, the condo development, the surrounding area - restaurants, nightlife, drives. We will definitely rent this condo again - hopefully next year - and would not hesitate to recommend it to our family and friends. It is all about location, location, location

Absolutely Awesome!

We stayed from January 16-21st, 2012. This was our first time renting a condo and i'm pretty sure we will never return to a hotel/resort again. Coming from Southern Ontario, you might think that we would be happy with anything warm in January but we are both pretty picky. The location was perfect. Directly accross from the beach...it was easy to load up all the beach gear (which was so nicely provided) and walk over. We loved the beach chairs....no crappy ones here - awesome Tommy Bahama ones with coolers built in! The beach was beautiful, nothing but perfect swimming. The water was crystal clear and there was no coral to watch for or stub your toes on. Just up the beach there were lots of peole snorkelling too. Kihei was perfect for us too. I had read a lot of travel books that knocked Kihei for it's strip malls. I had a completely different impression...yes there was strip malls but there was something for everyone. Great restaurants for every taste and buget, awesome happy hours and more than enough shopping/activites to keep us busy . We met more Canadians than Americans which we were surpised about but found that everyone was on the same path.......super friendly and wanting to relax. On to the Condo.......I think our expectations will never be exceeded like this again. We did not rent a condo, we rented a home! Fluffy towels, awesome linens, every beach gear item you could wish for, laundry and it really nicely decorated. I loved the welcome goodies, the advice on where to go to eat and explore and the friendly vibe from the entire condo complex. It was super clean, i loved there was extra beach towels and linens and cooking was a treat with a fully stocked kitchen. We watched the sunset each night from the patio and slept like babies in the comfy bed. We left Kihei and the condo feeling like we had made a friend. Daniel was easy to deal with, prompt on responses and was a pro at dealing with someone as overly orgainized as me. A couple of our favourite things included...Calamari tacos at Freds on Tuesday's, The Tiki Louge and Fat Daddy's smoke house at the triangle and Sushi and Asian ribs during happy hour at the Five palms, Thank you so much for the awesome time and welcoming us into your condo - it really did feel like we were staying at a friends place!....we are already planning the next vacation and this will be our first choice for town and Condo on Maui! We had a pleasant stay in this condo with the ocean view. It features modern design, large flat screen HDTV and high speed internet. Queen bed was comfortable. Owner also provides comfortable beach chairs. All communication with the owner was fast and reliable. Highly recommended.

My husband and I had a great week in sunny Maui as an escape from winter temps at home in Unalaska/Dutch Harbor, Alaska. We loved the condo--it was comfy, nicely decorated, had free wifi and was close to everything! We could walk to the beach and to shopping and restaurants nearby, while other conveniences were a quick drive down the road. We enjoyed lots of sights as well as just relaxing and soaking up the sunshine. We'd recommend visiting the the Ali'i Kuna lavender farm in addition to the typical tourist spots such as Haleakala. The onsite property managers were very friendly and helpful and the owner was great in communicating with us before and during our stay there. All in all, a fabulous experience and highly recommended! Thanks, Daniel!

We had a wonderful stay , enjoyed each and every minute of the 6 weeks and can not believe that time went by so fast . We did all the touristy things, Road to Hana was my highlight , we took two days and actually spent the night in a hotel in Hana ( $200 + NO TV ouch !) we did a hike in to some waterfalls at the place where the 7 pools are and the hike takes you through a bamboo forest , just the coolest thing ever , the wind would blow and the bamboo tree's knocking against each other sounded like a hail storm , I will never ever forget that . As so many of the travel advice websites say you really need to rent a car to enjoy all that Maui has to offer , we initially booked a car for our first 4 weeks but extended the rental to the whole time on the island . We used a shuttle service to get to and from the airport choosing to rent our car from a rental agency away from the airport - saves a few dollars and the shuttle is very reasonable $37 for the 2 of us from the airport to the condo , we were arriving after dark so it was nice to have someone else drive to our location when you don't know where you are going . The rental car company picked us up the next day at the condo to pick up our car . Kihei was great , we appreciated the abundance of restaurants and beaches close by . There are actually 3 restaurants and a takeout deli in the building right next door to the condo's , and all of them were very good. The condo was so nice, the view off the lanai ... awesome and all the whales we saw , it just doesn't get better than that. The condo was exactly as advertised , so nicely decorated , the pots and pans are great too, we have friends who rented a much pricier place and their cooking pots were terrible !! being long stay folks it was nice to be able to cook at the condo , the bed is super comfy and we liked the higher bar height chairs on the lanai so we could have a nice view over the railing . I have sooooo many sunset pictures. Daniel was very easy to communicate with and answered all our emails prompty and gave us lots of information for our stay in Maui. We enjoyed having the beach right across the street from the condo's and spent lots of time there. The whole island is great so much to see and do . Of all the condo's we considered renting for our stay we are so glad we chose this one . Perfect holiday !

This condo has an amazing location just a 2 min walk to a lovely beach which is great for relaxing. snorkling and enjoying the ocean, the views from the balcony are incredible at night... couldnt have asked for a better stay in Maui. This condo had everything we could have ever wanted...it is a very well maintained unit that was very clean and and has been decorated beautifully. It is in a quiet spot within the complax and has easy access to the pool and BBQ area... we couldnt have enjoyed our time more and will definitley be returning in the future.

Stayed here for 10 days and had a wonderful time. The location is fabulous - close to lots of great beaches. The furnishings are lovely and it is very well stocked with beach chairs, new towels, etc. It is in a quieter part of the complex and the views from the balcony are great!!! We will be back!

I wholeheartedly agree with Anne, this place rocks! My wife and I have been vacationing in this same condo for the past ten years as my sister used to own this unit. Daniel's upgrades and attention to detail are awesome and we felt completely at home as soon as we arrived. Here's the deal...once you arrive, unpack the luggage (yes you overpacked) put the groceries away, put on your bathing suit and leave your worries behind. You are walking distance to everything! Kam II, the beach that everyone else on the island has to drive to,is directly across the street and offers excellent snorkling, boogie boarding, and spectacular sunsets. In the morning walk down to Fred's for a hearty breakfast in an open air setting with ocean views. The lanai will make you feel like you're living in a postcard as you are surrounded by lush gardens, tropical birds, and a magnificent ocean view. Hats off to Daniel for offering this little piece of paradise in paradise to the lucky traveler...enjoy your stay!!!

Distinctive condo in great location

This condo really rocks! It has cinnamon and pumkin colored walls, lush towels, great linens, and a beautiful view of the ocean. Everything you could need is supplied...beach chairs, boogie boards, beach towels...and they are all new. I think we were the first people to use them. The decor is very tasteful and romantic and transforms this condo into a relaxing, special place to return after a day on the beach. The lanai furniture is bar size in height which gives you great ocean views while drinking morning coffee. The condo is on the third level (one level higher would be better, but this works-you still have an unobstructed view of the ocean.) The owner, Daniel, was wonderful to deal with. He was prompt in getting back to my emails, answering questions and refunding the damage deposit. The location of the Kihei Akahi is at the south end of Kihei which puts it very close to the resorts and beautiful beaches. Snorkeling is good all the way down the south side of Maui. We snorkeled with green sea turtles at the beach directly across from the complex! Parking is in the back with a view of Haleakala. The ceiling fans were perfect, we really enjoyed the welcome basket, and the fragrance diffusers were a nice touch. I would very much recommend this property! Thanks Daniel!
