Our family of seven adults and four small children had a great time here! The weather was yucky but the home was large enough for us to enjoy being inside with each other. The home was very nice and comfortable! Everything was there we needed for cooking! The owners were very easy to work with. The canoe was a lot of fun. We would recommend this river house for any group of adults for a great get away or a multi family vacation spot. Having the boat slip was nice too we were able to keep it inside and dry. Since it was raining we were able to visit Cathedral Caverns which was just a short drive from the home. It was a beautiful drive. Thank you for allowing our family to make more "river house" memories ! We arrived for our granddaughter's wedding with our grown children and our grandkids and were immediately pleased with this spacious beautifully decorated home-the back porch and yard were a hit with the younger crew and we had lots of room to eat and relax in the lovely kitchen (well stocked with everything needed to prepare a meal). Bedrooms were very comfortable and clean -all in all we had a wonderful time together and would surely give this home an A+Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

Our 4-day mini-vacation was very nice at Honeycomb Hideout. The house was very nice and in good condition. The view of the lake from the house and the beautiful Fall colors on the hillside across the lake were so enjoyable. We even caught a few brim and a bass from the dock. The surroundings were very quiet and relaxing - everything we needed for a wonderful retreat.Recommended for: Sightseeing, people with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

We had such a wonderful experience at the Hideout! Everything was very clean and well maintained. Great location! We had all that we needed to cook and hangout with 8 ladies after we all participated in the Mountain Lakes Tri. Grilled out, played in the lake and relaxed on the perfect back porch. Ready to come back and bring our kids to play in the great back yard. Thanks for sharing your beautiful home on the lake!Recommended for: Families with young children, girls getaway.
Owner response: THANK YOU! I'm so glad you enjoyed the home. It is my childhood home and means a great deal to me. Please don't hesitate to contact me if you want to visit the Honeycomb Hideout again.

This was a wonderful getaway. Very quiet and relaxing. The house is very nice with plenty of places to gather inside and out. There was plenty to do for all ages (the youngest of our group was eight and the oldest was celebrating her 78th birthday). Access to the lake is easy and the canoe was a big hit with our group. Thank you for letting us stay in your wonderful house!Recommended for: People with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

We had the pleasure of staying at this beautiful house for 4 days recently over the July 4th weekend. We had thought the property and the house looked pretty in the pictures, but they do not do this place justice. From the moment we walked inside, our eyes lit up - the house is immaculate, spacious, homey and extremely comfortable, with beautiful touches and decorations everywhere. There were 8 of us and everyone had plenty of room. Walking out the back door to the amazing backyard and view of the lake made our mouths drop open even more. From the grill to the canoe to the pier and boathouse to the beautiful willow trees, well-kept backyard and huge back deck, there was not much we had to bring besides food. The kitchen is extremely well stocked with everything you need to cook and serve with and the beds and linens were all high quality. It only took us until the next morning to call the owner and tell her how amazing her house was and how we all decided we would be back year after year. Even though it was July 4th weekend and everyone seemed to be out at the lake, it seemed quiet in our little branch. It was also a very short drive to the main road to access all shopping. Truly, we consider this the find of the century and plan to come back and visit often! The owner was more than gracious and helpful and always available to answer all my questions. It was a pleasure dealing with her. Oh, and wait until you see the amazing shower in the downstairs master!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, people with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.
