Located just a half block from the classic sailing and motor yachts of the old port, and only minutes from the Palais des Festivals, casino, and Cannes' sandy beaches, the best of Cannes awaits you. The Suquet is very popular within Europe and as a result, every language is spoken in this delightful and charming quarter of the city.
Arrive in Cannes to be greeted by our representative who will escort you to your apartment and help orient you to your new home. Relax. Our apartment is in a quaint 19th Century building but fully furnished with all the updates for modern living including, modern kitchen, bath, TV/stereo, washing machine and internet access.
Throw open your shutters to greet the rising sun over the hills in the east. Your view to the south is of luxury yachts moored on the shimmering Mediterranean Sea. Meander narrow cobblestoned pedestrian streets lined with the finest of Cannes' outdoor restaurants, to the top of the Suquet for an incomparable view of the city and the sea. Once there, visit the romanesque Chapelle Sainte-Anne and Musee de la Castre, dating from the 12th/13th centuries.
From our apartment, walk one block to the daily outdoor market, Marche Forville (considered one of the best in France). Buy your bread from one of the Suquet's fabulous boulangeries where they insist on maintaining the ancient art of baking. Walk to the port for a 10 minute boat ride to the Lerin Islands to visit the Royal Fort on Isle Sainte-Marguerite and the prison which housed The Man in the Iron Mask. Shopping your interest? You are steps from the rue Meynadier and the chic rue d'Antibes and the Croisette.
No need for a car but if you prefer to drive to the countryside, rentals are available within a block of the apartment. Buses to the airport are a half block from the apartment and the train station is eight blocks away. |
