This charming summer beach house is a 4-5 minute walk to Rexhame Beach (Porter street access), one of the most beautiful, cleanest, sandiest beaches south of Boston. The location is an easy 30 minute drive from Boston and Cape Cod. During low tide, the water goes out very far, creating mini shallow pools in the sand for kids to frolic in and enjoy.
About a tenth of a mile down the beach is a section of medium sized rocks great for crab and starfish hunting. I have spent every summer here as a child and have many wonderful memories. A short walk from the house is a scenic Marsh with great sunset views.
My grandfather built this house 60 years ago and the original knotty pine walls have been preserved. The house is quite comfortable and has a nice backyard with a screened in porch for dining and relaxing and a private outdoor hot/cold shower. The area offers many amenities described below. The bedrooms are both conveniently located on the first floor. We have locked our things away in the 2 small rooms upstairs.
Traditionally, we have not rented this house in the past as we have been there every summer. However we will be away much of August and are offering it for the first time to renters. Please no pets or smoking.

About the owner: This home has been in our family for 60 years. My Grandfather, who passed away in 2008 at 100 years of age built this home 60 years ago.
Why the Owner Chose Marshfield:
I have spent every summer here since I was a child and have many wonderful memories. It is extremely convenient to Boston and you never have to deal with the congested traffic of getting to Cape Cod. The beach is cleaner and the tide goes out the furthest of any beach I have ever seen.
