Surrounded by "Old Village" Charm.....

This charming three bedroom ranch style home is located near the well known "Old Village" of Mt. Pleasant. The surrounding live oaks and pecan trees remind you that this area was once a large plantation in the 1700's. We are centrally located between the historic downtown Charleston and the equally historic beach, Sullivan's Island.
Our home was completely remodeled last year. The entire house has been newly furnished, along with new mattresses and bedding. We have three beautifully designed bedrooms. The master bedroom has a queen size bed and a full bathroom.
There are large closets in each bedroom with plenty of storage space for clothing and bags. The second bedroom has a queen size bed as well, and the last bedroom has two twin beds. There is another full size bathroom for privacy among guest. This bathroom has been remodeled with granite counter tops.
The open floor plan allows you to move freely throughout the kitchen, living area and dining area. Hardwood floors flow throughout the entire house. The kitchen has new stainless steel appliances along with beautiful black granite counter tops. When you want to settle in for a comfortable evening after a fun filled day, there is an old Charleston brick fireplace filled with burning candles to create a relaxed setting. The large back deck is equipped with a charcoal grill, patio table and chairs for evenings outdoors. There is an attached two space carport that includes the laundry room with washer and dryer. We also provide bicycles for you to ride.
The Old Village is a very quaint southern area with large oak trees that tower over old southern homes dating back to the 1800's. When you pass by you feel as if you've gone back in time to centuries long ago. Alhambra Hall is only a mile from the house. There you can have a picnic on the large grassy area that over looks the Charleston Harbor. There is also a very big playground with plenty of oak trees for shade. Just down the road you will also find the Old Pitt Street trolley bridge. There you can fish, go crabbing, have a picnic and watch the sunset over beautiful downtown Charleston. Sullivan's Island beach and restaurants are only two miles away. There is a bike path that leads over the new Ben Sawyer swing bridge. Shem Creek which is only minutes away provides you with great restaurants right on the water. Have dinner while you watch the shrimp boats come in with there daily catch. Local seafood markets are on each side of the creek. You can also rent kayaks and get amongst the dolphin and pelicans that wait for their daily dinner from the local shrimp boats. Whatever you choose to do in the area, I am positive you will enjoy your stay and be coming back time and time again.
We hope to accommodate you and make your stay here in the "Lowcountry" comfortable, memorable and affordable.

My husband and I and our two adult children recently stayed in this lovely house for a family wedding and short vacation in Charleston. It was beautiful, clean and comfortable, and close to everything! The furnishings all seemed brand new and we had everything we needed for a delightful stay. This place is even nicer than the photos! The beautiful old village of Mount Pleasant is very close and downtown Charleston was just a 10-12 minute drive! We would definitely recommend this property and look forward to staying here again!Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing.

This was the first time we (three guys playing golf for several days) booked a house rental via the internet. Just like another renter, we were a bit skeptical that the pictures looked too good to be true. They were not. This house had everything we needed and more. Every room in the house was nice, very clean and comfortable. We used the charcoal grill two nights, using the kitchen to the fullest. All the cookware was clean, utensils well stocked and ready for use. All of the golf courses we played were within 20 to 30 minutes depending on traffic on SC17. It was very convenient to nearby grocery and drug stores. Angie was great. She was very accommodating and even sent us golf course discount coupons in advance for courses we might be playing. I'd recommend this house to anyone, even my wife!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

Not ever having booked a "house" vacation rental on the internet, I was skeptical that the pictures looked too good to be true. Well, they aren't! This house had everything we needed and more! Every room in the house was nice, clean and comfortable. Loved the open kitchen/dining area/living room space. The beach is 5 minutes away. Super convenient to grocery stores and close to downtown Charleston. Angie was great to work. We will definitely stay here again!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

We stayed in this property for a week as our son was getting married in Mt. Pleasant. The owner was very accomodating as we mis-booked a day late and arrived a day early. Another guest was leaving and the property manager had the cleaning service come in early and prepare the house for us. All furnishings are new and the house is very well maintained and has all of the appointments. that are needed. This is the place to stay if you are looking in the Mt. Pleasant area of Charleston.Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, sightseeing.

I was lucky enough to find this wonderful rental on VRBO. One of the other reviewers said that it was like walking into a Pottery Barn. That is so true! Every detail is beautiful and spotless. The pictures do not do the home justice. I had friends over for dinner and everyone felt as if they were visiting me in my own home. That is how inviting the place is. I had a BBQ in the backyard and everyone had a great time. I wish I could have stayed longer but my vacation had to come to an end. If I am ever in the area again I hope this home is available. The property manager was absolutely wonderful! She was available for any questions I had and was just such a pleasure to deal with.Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

This was one of the most relaxing vacations we have had in a long time. The home was like a "home away from home" except no work and total relaxation!! I felt like I walked into a pottery barn magazine when I first arrived. The furnishings and ammenities were outstanding and extremely comfortable. We were literally minutes from downtown Charleston where we went to enjoy the open market and tour of homes as well as Sullivan's Island where we enjoyed the beach. The restaurants nearby are too numerous to name but we enjoyed several of them. The neighborhood was great and we enjoyed sitting on the back deck in the evenings. Had lots of fun watching all the squirrels in the mornings while we drank coffee on the deck. It was everything the owners described and more. There is so much to do within minutes of the properties location. We definitely look forward to our next stay at this wonderful home.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.
