Our stay met and exceeded all expectations. The descriptions and photos online were more than accurate and the unit was exceptionally clean and comfortable. Although the description online said the unit was centrally located we were still surprised we were located literally steps away from the center of town and could walk directly onto the pier from our location! We were fortunate our stay included the Friday night farmers market with local restaurants, produce and a band. My husband and I are runners and enjoyed a run along the nearby Bob Jones Trail as well as a visit to the Runners Warehouse in SLO. Our stay also included a harbor tour to see sea lions, fish and otters in Morror Bay, fun in the sun at the beach and park adjacent to the aquarium with our four year old son and a trip to Cayucos to the Brown Butter Cookie Factory and lunch at our new favorite seafood restaurant in Cayucos Schooners ( be sure to ask for an ocean view table outside). Our many thanks to Gary for making our stay comfortable and the process for staying easy as this was our first time using VRBO. We look forward to visiting again and have recommended our friends stay here as their son begins college at Cal Poly SLO this fall!

What a wonderful condo. My wife & I visit Avila every year. This year was shortened by a few days due to a death in the family but we couldn't have been happier with the place. It was perfect for a couple...just big enough and a great location close to the beach and our favorite Avila spots. Gary was a huge help when someone took our parking spot. We plan to return next year...hopefully for a longer stay.

I took my parents to Avila Beach so my 86-year-old dad could fish off the pier. It was just a short walk and he enjoyed every minute. Everything was very convenient, including a private garage, restaurants, and wine tasting. The condo was beautifully furnished and decorated, well-maintained and very comfortable. Gary was very helpful and was always available if we had questions. We'll be back soon!

Just returned from our second stay at this Avila Beach property. We decided to begin our stay just as spring was arriving (March-April timeframe). We enjoyed the warmer days and enjoyed being at the beach almost every day. We have family in San Luis Obispo so this location is ideal as it is only about eleven miles away on rt. 101. Our granddaughter loves to use the playground located just off the beach. During our first stay in 2011 we were not able to go to the Avila Beach Farmer's market that is held on Fridays as it start in mid April. We were able to enjoy the food and farm produce for two weekends. We continued to enjoy the many restaurants (especially the Custom House and the Hula Hut for their breakfast burritos). We joined the Peleton wine club and their tasting room is just a short walk from this unit. Needless to say we visited many times to take advantage of free wine tasting for members. We had a family photo shoot near Sycamore Springs Resort and Spa. The photo shoot was fabulous as the trees were in full bloom with red blossoms. Just below our unit is a retail space where a bike rental shop opened. If you're interested in biking check out the variety of bikes available. We just love this area as all our vacations needs are in close proximity to this rental. We have already reserved the unit for our third stay for November so we can enjoy the Thanksgiving holiday with our family.

My husband and I rented this condo for a month as we were re-locating to the Central Coast. We couldn't have been more pleased!!! Gary, the property manager was incredibly helpful, responsive, and accommodating! The condo is clean, new, stylishly furnished and ideally located. We were in the midst of the darling seaside village yet the condo is situated so that nights are quiet and serene. We appreciated having a parking garage during the busy weekends in Avila Beach. We would definitely recommend this property to friends and hope to book it in the future for family!

This was my first time staying in Avila Beach. I usually rent a condo on Shell Beach drive and have to drive to Pismo or Avila. I found staying at this particular condo so convenient and affordable. I felt safe and at home. I loved being able to go to the beach and walk the pier and shops. The place was pretty clean. Being a picky person I only had to clean the pots that I used and other than that everything seemed fine. We had no internet connection the first few days but I was quickly informed and the issue was resolved with no hesitation. It was my home away from home. I plan on staying there again next year. Thank you Gary for all your help during our stay.

My family had an amazing stay at this bungalow! My husband and I and our 18 month old daighter just love everything about our stay. The bungalow is beautiful and in a perfect location with great access to the beach, shopping, dining and the many wine bars in Avila. The complex was very lively and active during the day but quited down in the evenings. My daughter and husband loved sitting on the balcony and enjoying the amazing weather. The beach was beautifull and there was plenty to do with our daughter such as a park, walks on the Bob Jones trail, visiting Avila Barn and venturing into San Luis Obispo to the childrens museum. We would reccomend is to a friend and we will be returning soon!

Clean, new condo, but probably one of the noisiest places we have ever stayed. The property is above a wine tasting room and a Taco shack. I found it funny in the paperwork left at the property that they asked us to be quiet and respectful of the businesses below. We received and email (that I had to ask for) a few days before our stay with the directions and the codes to the gate surrounding the property and the garage in which our car was to be parked. It told us to call the owner 2 hours before the 3:00 arrival time to get the code to the key box located outside the condo door, so that we could get in the condo. We had driven a long way to get there and just wanted to get in and unpack our car. We did this and did not receive a call back. 2 hours later we called again. I think we may have called for 4 hours every different number we could with no call back. We started asking the business owers if they new the owner of the condo. We finially asked someone who knew that the owners father lived in the complex and went and got him. He let us in without telling us the code to the key box, which we had to know in order to leave the key when we left. This was on a Sunday. I was disappointed that the owner NEVER called us back. This is not a good way to run a business. We had to call the owner on Thursday to ask for the code to the key box so that we could leave the key. At that time he expressed that he was out of town, when we got there and that he would "take care of us" regarding the gaining entry fiasco. Again I feel that this is bad business, he knew we were coming well in advance, if he was going to be out of town he should have made arrangements to get us the key code, not leave us to walk around asking people for help. Everyone we asked tried to be helpful even if they couldn't help us which was nice. On the bright side, it was nice to have a secure parking space, as this town gets crowded every day, to the point of not a parking space to be found. After we got back home 4 days went by and again I had to email the owner to ask when we could expect our deposit back. He expressed that he was without internet or phone service for some time and would get it back to us that day. ???? What??? We had it back within 30 minutes along with an extra 25.00 for our "trouble"......

We recently completed a month stay at this Avila Beach Bungalow. We truly had a very pleasant experience. While we expected cooler temperatures for this time of year we had very warm weather during our stay. The close proximity to the Front street shops and the beach made this our starting point for our daily adventures. We were able to enjoy the beach for 25 of our 30 days. The bungalow is conviently located within walking distance to 5 wine tasting rooms as well as several restaurants. The Hula Hut, Fat Cats and the Custom House were some of our favorite resturants. We also visited over 20 Wine tasting rooms in the San Luis Obispo and Paso Robles area. The Bungalow was just the right size for the two of us. All appliances in the kitchen, laundry and Flat screes TVs (2) all worked flawlessly. We enjoyed it so much we are thinking of coming back.

My husband and I just returned from a month stay in this condo as we began our retirement. Fantastic location for walks on the sand, small shops and great food. Condo is as pictured and very well maintained. We were able to use the garage for our bikes and kayak as well as our car. The Bob Jones trail is just up the street for walking, running and biking. A butterfly grove, a highly entertaining melodrama theater, an athletic club, many hiking trails, the best-ever foot massage and several wineries are easy to find with the freeway so accessible. You will find the owner's assistant easy to work with and readily available. Highly recommend this property.
