  Our family rented Thunderstruck in September and all I can say is WOW!! The house is beyond awesome. We loved how everyone room was so spacious and decorated so colorful and beachy.It was so great staying at a house that had everything you would need. Bikes galore, pool floats, coolers and fishing gear. Having our own pool with an outside tiki bar was also awesome. We spent most of our time outside either by the pool, in the pool or on the balcony. The house was clean and all ready for our arrival. The house manager came by to greet us and was always available if we needed anything. We will definitely rent thunderstruck for our future visits to St. George Island.

  This is a beautiful vacation home located on a beautiful island. Our family of 13 loved it and had a great time. It was so nice to have a pool for the kids and the covered balcony was used constantly. The accomodations were outstanding, very clean and well cared for. The girls loved the upstairs bedroom overlooking the gulf and enjoying their own balcony. It was so nice to be able to walk or ride bikes to the beach which was, of course, beautiful. Spent some time fishing one evening (fishing poles come with the house) and the kids were catching fish two at a time. Everyone loved the bikes!! It was so fun to ride into the restaurants and stores. The house itself was well equipped and even beach chairs, umbrellas, & toys were available. We loved too that it was not highly commercialized. Very laid back and relaxing. Rich was so easy to work with and sccomodating to our needs. Definitely recommend this home for a wonderful vacation.

  We just got to the island and I had a little trouble getting in the house because I had saved the information incorrectly so I probably bugged poor Rich to death, calling and leaving messages and such. He was just great though! From the very minute that we decided to go with Thunderstruck Rich provided fantastic communication and was very quick to get back with us any time we had questions. It was no problem getting to the house and getting in was quick and easy. We were amazed when we pulled up to the home and walked around it eager to get inside. The outside entertainment area is something I am very much looking forward to. The whole home is very spacious, clean, inviting, homey, and really well stocked with anything you might need. We have come here to get married later in the week and I cannot wait to have pictures taken in and around this home. It is a very small informal wedding and we will be having a small dinner/reception witha few of our friends and family on the patio portion of the outside. I get to marry the man of my dreams in a place very much like a fairytale! I cannot thank you enough, Rich! You have made it all possible, the place is wonderful, better than any of us had imagined. Very short hop/skip/jump to the beach but we have almost decided to just hang out here most of the time, no reason to leave other than to go to the beach occasionally. The rooms are very nice sizes, the beds comfy (we had to check them all to see which one we wanted ;) ). The bathrooms are crazy big and great showers! The closets are so big somebody could probably put a bed in there if they wanted to....plenty of space everywhere. Kitchen/living/dining is a nice, big, open room that faces the pool and ocean view. There are decks on two levels with really nice seating. I just cannot say enough good things about this home and the owners. I will definitely be adding reviews as the week goes on or at least one to wrap up our stay when we leave but I just had to go ahead and let everyone know how happy we are and have been with this choice. You will not be disappointed! Thanks so much for sharing your wonderful home with us! I'll be back and I'll be sure to post some pictures!

  I agree with the other reviews that this by far was the best rental house I have ever stayed in. The photos do not do it justice. All the rooms and bathrooms are large and beautifully decorated. We especially were surprised with the toiletries provided, thick bath towels, high quality bed linens and comfortable beds, beach towels, flash lights for night beach walks and more. Not to mention all the bikes available. The pool shower is fantastic. One you can actually shower in, not just rinse off. It is a great location, very near shops and restaurants. You can ride the bikes to the stores or out to dinner. The owner was extremely helpful and the property very well maintained. The owners even have an emergency kit with medicines, band aids and such. It is the perfect place to spend the day at the beach and the evening in the pool. We loved the tiki bar and the shade that is offered by the pool. I would definitely recommend this house to anyone. I would recommend that the owner add additional dinner plates and coffee mugs. We were short for our group of 10. Also some wine glasses would be a great. Other than those small items the house was more than perfect.

  This beautifully appointed beach house was the perfect setting for our family vacation. The owners were more than accommodating in arranging our stay. This place had everything and more to make our vacation week fun AND relaxing. We enjoyed bike rides on the designated trail, fishing in the surf, walking on the beach, swimming in the private pool...the list goes on. Restaurants, grocery store, and shopping were only blocks away. We did not want to leave and have already made reservations for 2012.

  Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, adventure seekers, romantic getaway.

  My husband and I and daughters always take a beach getaway for spring break. This house was the best we have ever stayed in. It is bright, inviting, and spacious. From the great beach views to the island decor, we thoroughly enjoyed it. The mini fridge and tiki bar were great touches. The outdoor shower was a favorite as well! Small touches such as emergency kits, lotions, toothbrushes, etc. set this place apart from others as well. The island was amazing as well. We would love to live there. I could live in this house forever! I was sad to leave. There are great seafood deals to be had as well as amazing oysters to eat. The dolphin watching is second to none. We will be back!

  My family and friends stayed here in June 2010. The home is beautiful and not like any other rental we've stayed in. The home is quite spacious and definatly well equiped with everything we needed during our stay. My children especially enjoyed the private pool where they could be in the sun or under the covered deck area. The many bikes were a big plus although two had flat tires. The flat tires turned out to not be an issue since there are 14 bikes included with the rental. The beach was within walking or biking distance as we were told and the water was delightful. We enjoyed the town and resturants but I found myself wanting to just relax in peace at the house alot of the time. We hope to return next year for another visit. All in all, a great place to stay with really no complaints..
