We visited this house for my 30th birthday celebration and had a great time! We especially enjoyed the location - close to everything in Bend and easy access to the road that takes you to Mt. Bachelor. The house has everything you need and nothing you don't - it's not fancy or elaborate, but it is very clean, the beds are comfortable, there were plenty of dishes and cookware, and the hot tub was perfect after a day on the slopes. Couldn't have asked for a better place for the price, and Andy was fast to respond and very easy to work with! We will definitely stay here again!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, tourists without a car, girls getaway, adventure seekers.

The Delaware house worked out very well for me and my mother and our two dogs. The owner is responsive and hospitable. The house is located centrally for our needs in a seemingly safe neighborhood and is maintained well. It has all the must-have amenities and most of the extras that you find in some of the best vacation rentals. Furniture and beds are new, clean, and comfortable. The rooms are relatively small, but the ceilings are tall, giving them a spacious feel. Each bedroom has a queen bed, which makes for a tight fit in places. The kitchen-dining area is spacious and perhaps the largest room in the house. Most appliances were relatively new, and everything was stocked except shampoo and soap. Each room has a thermostat and heat vent, and all worked fine. The gas stove in the living room was not on when we arrived, and, after numerous attempts to light it, we gave up, as it was uncooperative or not operational. It was cold rainy weather, but the house was warm. The fenced backyard and hardwood flooring worked well for our dogs. Our principal disappointment was that the hot tub, which we were excited for, was not maintained. Minor issues like food trash was left in the can under the kitchen sink. The wooden deck in the backyard gets very slick when it is wet and frosty. In the end, the cleaning instruction list seemed somewhat extensive, given that we paid a cleaning charge of $60. We did not cook, and left it as good or better than we found it, which took us both over an hour. Overall we are very pleased with the value and will want to stay here again. We thank the owner for a nice stay and appreciate that his rental is pet-friendly. We really want to keep this place a secret, so ... not sure how many people we will recommend!!Recommended for: Tourists without a car, pet owners, families with teenagers.
Owner response: Hi Silvio, thanks for all the great feedback. sorry about the hottub it has since been serviced and is getting rave reviews. cheers, Andy

Located in a convenient and friendly neighborhood centered between the Old Mill District and Downtown which is great for walking to either. Updated older home that was very clean and well equipped. All solid flooring was a big plus for us, and the fenced backyard was wonderful for our dog. Owner was very responsive to all communication, and came right over to reset the TV equipment after a citywide power outage (hey the Olympics were on!) We stayed during the hottest days of the year and the house stayed cool all day after letting cool air flow in at night. Weber propane BBQ, hot tub, and wireless internet all functioned perfectly. Would absolutely stay at this place again.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

Our group traveled from Seattle for a ski weekend and some Bend Ale Trail action over St. Patty's weekend and had a great stay at this property. The house was well equipped for our needs, including linens, cookware, glassware, washer/dryer, mud room, etc. Each room is equipped with it's own thermostat to suit your preferences as well. The hot tub was a huge hit after a long day on the slopes and the yard was also perfect for our dog to play in unattended, as it's completely fenced in. This property is within a few blocks of downtown and a major outdoor shopping area. It's seems to be in the middle of everything. The owner was especially quick to respond to all inquiries, which was a definite plus. The only room I have for critique was that the house did not have satellite TV, as stated on the property listing, so we were unable to watch the March Madness tournament on TBS from the comfort of our living room. However, being as close to town as we were, this was not a major setback. We walked to a local bar and enjoyed the atmosphere. All in all, a great experience in Bend! We will definitely be traveling back.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, pet owners, girls getaway, adventure seekers, sightseeing.

My husband and I had a great week at this charming house. We brought our golden retriever and he enjoyed the yard while we hung out in the large hot tub. The kitchen is fully stocked, the beds are comfortable and it's walking distance to everything downtown Bend has to offer! A few specifics - the house isn't fancy or spacious. It has everything you need and not much you don't. We found it was perfect for our stay - who goes to Bend to hangout inside?! It would be perfect for 2-4 adults; I would imagine that with 6 adults, it would get quite crowded (only one bath). If you're looking for a great spot to enjoy Bend, walk to town and lounge in a hot tub, this is your place! We will definitely be back! The owner was responsive and helpful.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, tourists without a car, pet owners, girls getaway, families with young children, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, age 55+, sightseeing.

We spent a wonderful week here in Bend. A short drive from the mountain and a short walk from downtown, this cabin was the best of both worlds. Even seven days into our vacation we were discovering new neighborhood spots. The neighbors were friendly and the kitchen had a bottle opener and a nice spatula--the rest is just details. I highly recommend a visit.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, pet owners, adventure seekers.

Five of us stayed at the Delaware House when we came to Bend for the Susan G. Komen Romp To Stomp Out Breast Cancer snowshoeing event on Mt. Bachelor. When searching for houses, we wanted to be close to downtown in a house that had a hot tub and was dog friendly. The Delaware House was the perfect fit! Although the rooms are small, the beds are super comfortable and the owner put storage spots in where he could. The kitchen is really nice - new gas stove, lots of utensils and KitchenAid pots and pans. The only thing missing was a large pot and since we'd planned on making chili, we had to buy one. The house is within walking distance (10 mins) of downtown Bend, which was great for going out to dinner and bars on Saturday night! The hot tub was clean, Andy was super attentive and answered emails right away. I would DEFINITELY recommend this house and plan on staying there again! One recommendation: it would be handy and neat to have a 'guest book' of sorts in the house for people to record good restaurants, shops, hikes, etc.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, tourists without a car, pet owners, girls getaway, families with young children, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, age 55+, sightseeing.
